The best restaurants in South East

Muy rara vez escribo críticas, pero me sentí obligado a hoy. Anoche mi esposa y yo tomamos uno de los mejores filetes que hemos tomado (y comemos mucho filete! ) No solo esto, sino también increíbles entrantes de calabacines fritos con alioli y una burrata sensacional con tomates adobados. Pero realmente deberías ir el filete en sí. Lo pedimos raro e inmaculadamente suculento y bien sazonado. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente...

I was cycling from London to Bath along the Thames path. Stopped for lunch in Eton. Fantastic service, food and experience. So helpful. Delicious food and drinks. Wonderful.

What a disappointing meal. We were in town from London for the day, and spent a lot of time researching where we should have lunch. We decided to go here and I truly urge you NOT to do the same. I ordered half a lobster and it was boiled to death. It was chewy and flavourless. It hadn't been seasoned either - it was like eating a rubber. My partner got the dressed crab salad which was ok, though the chips were also unseasoned (we had to ask for salt) and the salad seemed to be dressed with Hellman's or similar - for the price we were charged, we would have expected an accompaniment with the lobster, and a dressing that wasn't shop-bought for the salad. We waited quite a while for our order, though the young man serving us was lovely. Only towards the end of our meal were we asked how our food was - at which point my partner mentioned how disappointed I was with the lobster. About 15 minutes later the woman who seemed to be the manager came out to follow up on what we'd said - she was extremely defensive and rude. She kept telling me I should have said something before "eating most of it". Unfortunately, we weren't asked how everything was until very long into our meal, which is really poor etiquette. Additionally, I only ate about half of it, and only out of necessity (we had been walking round all day), but certainly hadn't eaten most. She seemed to be suggesting we were actively trying to scam them out of money - she didn't bother to apologise for our disappointing meal, but instead kept saying "we can't do anything now". The polite thing to do would be to comp the main, or at least the drinks. I have lots of experience working in hospitality and I have never spoken to a customer that way. Again, we didn't even get an apology, we were just met with defensiveness and an accusatory tone. The crab croquettes that we had as a starter were nice, but unfortunately there is nothing else good to say. Total waste of £80 and being spoken to like that completely ruined our trip. I will definitely not be returning.

Delicious, nutritious food with a friendly smile. I highly recommend this family run restaurant, a short walk away from Butlins for those families looking for a healthy meal.

I went for the Taste of Thailand evening with my husband. The atmosphere and service was very nice, the students were very attentive and polite. There were six courses in total and I went away extremely full. In terms of cooking, I understand that they are learning and will definitely not have gained the skill and experience of trained chefs or cooks from that region so the fact that they gave it a go was fantastic and something to build on for the future. If I could just give some honest and specific feedback about the food, hopefully it will be taken on with a view to improve. The Golden cups were cold (not sure if they were supposed to be). The chicken satay sticks were over cooked or maybe breast was used which can dry out quickly, the peanut satay sauce was lovely with big chunks of peanuts and the cucumber salad dip was a nice compliment to the meat. The Khao soi was quite decent for a beginner but really missed the picked mustard greens which can be purchased at the Asian Supermarket a mile away, it is essential. The Pad Thai was not bad but it was a shame that nice big prawns were way over cooked. Rice was over cooked for the curry but definitely edible but the curry was way to dry. Finally, the sticky rice for the mango sticky rice was not cooked enough, too raw so not edible. Lots of learning points for basic cooking and I hope they get the chance to keep improving. Good attempt for non-Thai students, well done.

I was in brighton for a day and spotted this cafe on the map, it was a great experience, I was warmly welcomed when I entered. The lady helped explain the menu to me. I ordered a Sancha Tea and a Katsu chicken baguette. Definitely the best katsu chicken I've had and the atmosphere was very peaceful. I recommend it 100%.

We came here to do a gig for a charity event. We had been before and were happy to come back. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the garden is a good size and they have a great selection of drinks.

So, I ordered the All Day Mega Breakfast. The price was £89.99. You can imagine my dismay when this arrived. How on earth can one person be expected to eat all that in one sitting!!! Service was great, all the waiting staff were on jet skis for a proper speedy service, Slipknot - Psychosocial bangin' out created a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy your food. Only 1* given due to such a massive portion size. Lower the price and lower the portion size for 5*s next time Tony Macaroni.

Ice cream is nice, but the guy in the store was extremely rude and had no time for the customers. Other staff were helpful. Won't be back due to this.

This place used to be five stars hands down. As you can see, their ratings are sky high on here and on Deliveroo for that reason. However, they have changed ownership and changed names slightly - however the new pizzas are your standard "chip shop pizza as a side gig" vibe with that cheapest possible frozen ingredients. Steer clear. They also disabled reviews on Deliveroo so you'll notice nobody can change their review or add new ones, and their rating stays high. Completely unethical. All you can do is delete your review, which I've done. The only recent 5 star reviews on Google maps are all the same person who is the owner. Avoid this place at all costs to avoid disappointment.
