Nimia in Windsor and Maidenhead

Great little cafe just over the Thames footbridge in Windsor. The coffee was excellent and there is a delicious range of food, including Italian cakes. The owner, Enza was friendly, welcoming and delightful to have a chat.

We were in Eton and decided to visit. So very pleased we did. Coffee was good, well it is Italian, food was good. The variety is excellent and all is freshly prepared. I had a sausage sandwich, awesome, and my partner had a smashed avacado sandwich. I had a taste, never tasted anything like it!! To my embarrasment Nimia is in the next village, never tried it. We have decided to mske it once a week now. Thoroughly recommend this establishment.

We were on a day out to Eton with our small dog and looking for a café for refreshments. Nimia's display of treats, including cannoli, in their window lured us in, and the water bowl was a welcome sight for our dog after our walk along the Thames. Upon entering staff offered a biscuit to our dog - what a lovely gesture, and it was refreshing to see staff welcoming dogs in their establishment. We had cannolis to go with our drinks, and after enjoying them so much we came back later to pick up some more cannolis for at home. A small café in a bustling high street, the service was great, staff welcoming, and the menu offers a variety of treats, including vegan options. The fact that it is dog friendly is much appreciated.

Fab place. Very friendly and professional staff. They welcomed us and our dog (with a dog treat), and we were able to sit inside with the dog. We had tea and iced coffee along with a cake and a couple of canollis, and even bought 2 boxes of canollis to take away. Good price and quality and would recommend.

Delicious cakes, especially the carrot and apricot cake. Very good coffee with friendly service. Tiny cafe with not a lot of seating but fun quirky decor.

They charged £4 for a slice of cake walnut and coffee the slice was so thin it could stand up lol 😂 I can’t bare people taking money off customers and not giving back a decent service. I have a picture would love to post it ! It’s tiny

Very cosy cafe - I don't think they often have a group of 7 all at once but they were very welcoming. Freshly prepared ciabatta etc and good choice of teas (& coffee).

Beautiful morning at Nimia with my family on Sunday morning. Great coffee , delicious cannoli and cakes . Lovely service , definitely we will return.

We have only been about 7 times as it’s absolutely a place to keep for very special occasions. The older generation are all gone. What would they think? Doorman was brilliant despite the rain. I guess we were greeted but it was nothing special. We choose to go to the lounge for a drink. No cocktails menu was seen? I really fancied experimenting but without a menu that’s impossible. Food menu arrived very quickly, too quickly for me. I was shocked to see I had prices on mine. My husband says it’s the new way. So I guess at 60 I need to change. I got all the way to the table before anyone took my coat. I’m nut intolerant but rarely say anything as people panic and the menu becomes minute. I don’t have severe reactions and a bit of nut oil won’t do anything. It’s only things that are full of nuts that are a problem. Nuts now seem to be very prevalent on this menu. We have a menu from 2009 I must find it and compare. Anyone with a nut allergy visiting now would feel like a vegan. Lobster starter was really lovely. Excellent presentation and preparation. My husband was jealous, but enjoy his own dish as well. No beef or steak on the main menu, Duck I sometimes adore but it has to be perfect luckily it was. My husband a real carnivore again enjoyed his meal I simply can’t remember what it was. We had mashed potatoes on the side, of course they were lovely but definitely need to be called creamed potatoes. Dessert Nuts Nuts Nuts. Plumbs and Plumbs. I’m not keen on plumbs I will eat them at a friends house to be polite but as I now get to see the prices I’m not paying £45 for something I’m not keen on. On the off chance that the Pistachio crème brûlée was only topped with nuts we asked, no it’s nuts all through. Now the kitchen know my predicament. Nothing was available not even ice cream was offered. How long could fruit salad and caramel sauce take. The Restaurant was only half full it being mid week in November. Coffee was served at the table not in the lounge. The petit-fours were less than before. I was now told I could only have two . Again the reason I don’t say I have a problem. Because my husbands almond based one was lovely. Almonds are not true nuts a chef of a high calibrate should know that. I have seen things produced out of thin air for my Gluten Free daughter sometimes. Obviously not always. But an inability to put together a dessert in such a kitchen is unbelievable. I didn’t think the waiting staff could have looked more miserable than they had appeared most of the evening but even they looked sad. No chef came out of the kitchen. I guess we were earlier leaving than normal. But it’s the first time we recall not seeing any kitchen staff. So I don’t know where we will celebrate my 70th birthday alongside out 50th Wedding Anniversary. But it won’t be here. The atmosphere was none existent as well. No flamboyant staff. No chatting. No reason to hang around.

Didn't eat here - but very very good coffee. Bit of a wait as only one person working there which isn't enough for a Saturday - but would return for the coffee.

Regular visitors to Nimia. Love the coffee and cakes - always a delicious vegan option or two! Lovely owners and staff have always been super helpful.

Stopped here for a latte. It’s a lovely place and the staff we helpful and friendly. Love the empty oat milk cartons as cup holders! Unfortunately, the coffee was good, but not great. Definitely go here over a chain coffee shop, but it’s not a place for speciality coffee. The taste was a bit flat and basic, and the milk was overheated so that it was hot enough to burn my tongue, too hot for a latte. I didn’t have a cake but my god they looked delicious!!

Attractive coffee shop with a decent selection of food and drink. We just ordered a oat milk chilled latte that was good. Nice service.

Excellent coffee and canolli, nice chatty, efficient knowledgeable staff, lovely summer day, what's not to like ? . Good selection of baking, well displayed. Expresso was clean and tasty,not bitter at all and no aftertaste, good finish as it were. Thoroughly recommend.

We stop here most weekends, the coffee is constantly better than Costa. The cakes are excellent and service with a smile. Highly recommended.

Two times now I've tried hot drinks and on both occasions they are lukewarm and the cup is at 75% capacity. It's very popular but I guess as it's in a prime location however this reminds me of a scene from Curb Your Enthusiasm where...

Beautiful coffee shop with a range of vegan, vegetarian options too. I opted for the giant arancini, you can buy this on its own or in a meal deal, like I did. Absolutely delicious food & friendly staff. Lots of fresh, homemade food.

What a joy to discover Nimia on our bike ride to Eaton this morning. Delicious sausage brioche and properly brewed teas. All socially distanced. Perfect!

Arrived at 4:24 on Sunday. It was cold and we were really happy to find a cafe that said yes to our Dog. Went in, easy to find a table as only one couple already there. Took cost off sat down on small hard stool....

Popped into this bijou artisan coffee shop whilst walking through Windsor and Eton, brilliant service, lovely atmosphere and great coffee, lovely little twists make this a cosy lovely place to visit and enjoy, really pleased to see they had arancini for sale, sadly didn’t try one this time, but I walked past a Costa Coffee to get this place and was not disappointed.

Good choice of teas and coffees as well as cakes. Cooked food also available, excellent breakfast stop. Very clean.

So glad that we came across this cute little place in Eton High Street. The staff were really friendly, the tea was delicious and the cakes were great. We even returned later in the day for lunch & had delicious fresh wraps. Happy to recommend.

Such a nice place with plenty of local and unique beers! We got some dishes to share: caponata, vegetable platter, salad, bruschette. All was delicious. The beers were also really really good.

Miss out Costa along the high street and make a stop here at Nimia if there is room ;) the coffee is flavoursome and the petit fous a must. Worth investigating.

This little coffee shop on Eton high street goes above and beyond when it comes to service and product. The staff are friendly and always greet you with a welcome smile. Although on the smaller side this just means it invites people to mingle and interact, bringing a great atmosphere and personality to the place.

We went after visiting Windsor castle and it is a little gem. Superb food and especially good for interesting vegetarian savouries. Lovely range of cakes and very good coffee. Friendly service and a nice relaxing atmosphere. Definitely one we will be going back to.

Independent coffee shops make an effort to rise above the often dismal high street chains and Nimia is no exception.

Enjoyed our coffees here on a Saturday afternoon after a walk around the area and was much more pleasant than the chain style.

It’s a fab coffee shop, it’s relaxed, friendly and the food is so good. They do the best meatballs ever! Lots of lunch options from salads to yummy wraps and their great filled corn bread baguettes. Homemade Quiches and sausage rolls. with endless cakes and pastries for a sweet fix. To top it all great Italian Ice cream and my personal favourite..frozen yoghurt

Loving this little independent bistro (its more than a coffee shop). This time was caramel shortbread, last visit was a slice of quiche. Both with their delicious coffee. The sisters who own and run this place have it spot on, friendly & professional with delicious food and at sensible prices. I will be back again & again

I stopped with my young son for a coffee. Super service in great surroundings, also fabulous apple and blackberry pie! Will be going regularly, so much better than the awful chain nearby.

I work in the area and noticed this little café open, we have a lot of cafes and shops come and go in this here but we popped in there at the weekend as they advertised ice cream and it was a lovely day. Gorgeous little shop, had some fabulous food on display (cakes mmmm the cakes looked so good) but we went for pistachio ice cream and it was gorgeous! Lovely staff, they had a selection of healthy lunch foods available as well (will be checking those out on my breaks) and really nicely done out. Definitely going back and really hope this little place sticks around, it's a lovely addition to the area.

You must visit and try the delicious coffee, artisan bread and yummy cakes. Also had a fantastic handmade sandwhich, none of that ready made packaged sandwiches and rolls. Great addition to Eton High St and very friendly staff with a greeting atmosphere.

For great Italian coffee and healthy Italian salads and breads, you can't beat Nimia in Eton. It has only been open a few weeks but I really enjoy going there above any other place in Windsor and Eton. As a local, I have already visited several times because the atmosphere is relaxing and the service is very personal and attentive. The salads are absolutely delicious and are different every day so its never boring. I love the authentic Sicilian pastries which are a real treat with such good coffee This is what an independent cafe' is all about: good service and excellent food at great value for money!

This establishment is run by two sisters who have rapidly become part of the local community providing the best coffee, food and drinks in the area in a sleak & modern establishment which is very relaxing and friendly. Whether it is your first trip or you are a regular you will be treated like an old friend and everyone will bend over backwards to meet your needs and requirements.

Newly opened in Eton, a refreshing change from the chain cafes everywhere. It is tiny but so stylish with a bit of a New York vibe. Home made cakes, quiche, light with huge picture windows so you can watch the world go by. Very friendly service. We picked up a loyalty card because we intend to be back.

Popped in this morning for a quick coffee. Was pleasantly surprised with the good quality espresso and croissant with peach jam. Bit small, and can be loud being such a confined space when busy. Service was impeccable.

This café must have opened very recently and happens to be opposite my favourite lunch spot in Eton, just over the bridge from Windsor. My friends and I popped in for a coffee after our meal and I have to say it was excellent quality.
