We eventually found your cafe with the help of a local man. He brought us to the cafe as we couldn't find it. His name was Keiran. A really friendly guy. Well it didn't disappoint. We had been to a funeral,it was freezing and we were in need of hot food. We got the large breakfast, not the mega one. I have to say it was hot and delicious. Plenty of tea, coffee, toast, brown and white. And a full plate of delicious food. It was huge. I couldn't finish all of mine...but what meat I didn't eat,I got some foil and took it home to my little dog. The owners were from south Africa originally. Mother and daughter and I think a brother. They were so very nice. Really friendly. Thank you. It was a real pleasure eating in your out of the way cafe 😋😉
My husband popped in to try you as Ko Wah closed. We are new to area and was a little apprehensive but were pleasantly pleased. The meal was great, meat fell off the bone on spareribs, it was not salty like some are. The lady who took order was helpful friendly and said we would enjoy the meal. Oh how right she was we will be back.

7 of us enjoyed a lovely evening meal here. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the food was amazing. The mussels are a definite must have - absolutely divine texture, taste and sauce. Would come here again.
Me and my partner had lunch and breakfast here over the span of a couple days. Each time, food was incredible. Good value for money and food was just incredible. We stayed in the Airbnb across the road which provided us with cinnamon buns from there and they were delicious. Would definitely come back for more. Food was lovely and fresh.
Muy sorprendido de la cantidad de comentarios positivos. El personal era frío y desagradable y la comida era promedio en el mejor de los casos.
El halloumi en el desayuno era un cortador delgado y la tostada era solo pan. Increíblemente abrumador
Popped in to this little gem on the way home from a day out. From the moment we stepped in the door it was the most wonderful experience. Beautiful pub laid out just right. Staff so friendly and helpful. The food was amazing as well. My wife had the breakfast burger. She said that was the second best burger she had. And my full English breakfast done me in for the price you get a lot of food and it was all amazing. Definitely going to pop back in sometime soon

Not eaten at the venue, however, it is a great credit to the management to bring back the epitome English 'pub' from the past with no room for unruly children !!!!! Good beer too.....!!!

Don't go anywhere else on Barry Island! Lovely, old-fashioned (and all the better for it) cafe serving huge portions with wonderfully friendly service. Good, varied menu, which includes... knickerbocker glory!

Cakes delicious and the man serving has great customer service all smiles and checking on his customers but unfortunately I won’t return as I don’t think it’s very hygienic . The tables were wiped over with a dry cloth no spray . The two staff wore black gloves that stayed on for wiping dirty tables picking up cakes from the window and making coffees which I found off putting .

One of the best in Southampton!

Excellent value for money.

Didn't even realise it was a pub! Popped in here as my partner had seen a pub critic visit is and we were interested to find it and check it out!
The gentleman who served us was friendly and chatty, was telling us some history about the place etc. and then they brought round a tray of hot sausages rolls and quiche. Only small little place and great for a drink and a chat as no large groups

Craft ale place .. great if you like craft ales but no other options so not my thing. Basic inside but they did have custard flavour beer which was really nice
Had a lovely prebooked breakfast here as advised by our local hotel.
The food was absolutely delicious, with a large array of drink choices (can highly recommend the Bloody Mary!)
Our service was also impeccable - the only downside is we had to wait for our pre-booked table for some time (having to stand outside of the restaurant as they were so busy!)
I understand this isn't entirely the business' fault as they did have bums on chairs, and ended up having to turn away some walk-ins; as it seemed an extremely busy period!
Would highly recommend visiting, as the food was impeccable!
I visited this lovely little tea shop today with a couple of friends. I’ve never been in before and it was really lovely and the staff so friendly and accommodating. Lovely latte and a scrumptious jacket potato with tuna and sweetcorn. I’ll be visiting again to try out some of the other menu items. One of my friends was so keen to see what was going on outside (the staff will know what I’m talking about) that she knocked a full coffee over the table but the staff were very laid back about it.
