We didn't eat but popped in ad-hoc for late night drinks. The welcome and service are wonderful. We felt as though we were members of a private club. Drinks were high quality and delicious. Table service is lovely addition to a rather special little gem of a place. Highly recommended.

The Sally Port Inn was extremely welcoming and one of the most interesting pubs/antique shops I’ve been in. The staff throughout were absolutely stellar and I couldn’t recommend it more. Hawkstone is lovely and the prices are fantastic👍

What a fabulous place! Lovely staff, beautiful setting and so welcoming. We had a group of 6 and we all loved it. We've all said what an amazing find it was, we only had time for one drink but we will definitely be back for longer next time. Highly recommend.

A good local pub in Old Portsmouth, clean and tidy bar area. Staff were happy, friendly and polite. Table service was very good. A good selection of beer and wine and an excellent selection of spirits - especially run, discuss rum with the owner 😁 Plenty of local street parking but may incur a charge. Enjoy 🍺🍷🥃

We had the most amazing experience, Mark put on a private meal which was the best food and service ive ever experienced. The pub is our favourite, the service is brilliant and is unique setting amongst collectable artefacts from around the world portrays the owners unique eclectic friendly personalty.

This is my new favourite pub. It has everything! Perfect ambiance, wonderful host, food and drink exceptional (and I am a self proclaimed foodie 😂) and such a welcoming atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back. ❤️

This gorgeous old pub is steeped in history and visiting here will be an experience to remember. Not only do they have one of the largest collections of rum in the world but upstairs is @sallyantiques, a huge shop spanning over 3 floors showcasing thousands of genuine antiques for across the ages. I've been to a lot of pubs & drunk a lot of cocktails in my time but I can honestly say that the cocktails here are truly something else. Their cocktail menu is extensive with something to please everybody's tastes. At £10 each these cocktails are great value as they're all made fresh by hand and are certainly generous when it comes to the amount of alcohol used. The glasses are chilled before they're used so your cocktail will remain deliciously cooled for longer & the decorations used are stunning with gorgeous edible flowers & gold, honestly thought some of them looked too pretty to drink 😍 The owner, Mark, takes pride in his pub & has worked hard to restore it to a high standard but also keeping its historical qualities. The pub is dog friendly & is located just a stones throw from the sea wall. If you get peckish whilst having your drinks then Mark often comes around with a tray of complimentary sausage rolls & snacks 😋 If you've not been before then get yourself down to Old Portsmouth and check it out 😊

Sunday afternoon, after a walk along the seafront into the Sally Port Inn, glass of wine. Lovely. They have an antique shop upstairs 3 floors of antiques very interesting.

Still can't rate this place highly enough, always a warm welcome, speedy table service, and complementary snacks. Also found out tonight they have a 'secret' private room with a huge TV.

Brilliant . The quality and range of drinks - wine, spirits, cocktails, beer - is the best ever, permits a new tasting every visit. Staffing is excellent and the business model of sitting only and card payment only works very well. Fully recommend to anyone who likes an historic place in which to tipple.

Heard of this place from my partner so decided to pop in last night and I was really pleasantly surprised, they made space for us as we were a larger group ( 8 people), provided table services and even came around with a slice of free hot sausage rolls and quiche, which was a lovely added bonus. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Fantastic place, if you are looking for a place to have a nice drink with a truly unique atmosphere then this is the place to be, you would miss it if you were driving as it looks like an antiques dealer, that is what the magic is inside, good drinks, great atmosphere and fair prices, would definitely recommend and return when we return

So much right but so much wrong Popped in while visiting family, we had been advised it was a great pub with a nice atmosphere and no kids running around to spoil things So far that advice was correct but when we got inside we found that it was cashless.........sorry I don't use cards or apps so would not be able to pay, staff were quite offhand about this so we had no choice but to go somewhere else. I appreciate most people have cards but I find the best way to budget is to carry cash, when it is spent I know I have reached my budget & there are almost 9 million people without card accounts in the UK so this is disenfranchising so many people, in addition with cash you cannot suddenly find unexpected charges on your bank account as you can where you use cards.

Fab hospitality. So welcoming. Small but weirdly lots of space! Great cinema room for watching the rugby although I hear they screen movies sometimes. Love music too going on at the same time. Table service,hassle free will be back.

A special experience with bar service & clientele

Poor service; in fact no service. Expect me to order from an app and they also won’t accept my cash. Will take my business to a more inclusive place that cares about the 100% I hope a return to accepting cash comes before y’all go out of business. Poor service and poor attitude.

Popped in here last night with a group of mates as we were in the area. What a lovely bar. Everything about it was great. Lovely staff, great atmosphere, superb decor, free nut mix to nibble on, exceptional drink prices for the area and Friday night singer who was very good. Would have stayed longer if we didn't have a restaurant booking but will definitely be going back. Highly recommended.

Beautiful 17th Century pub with genuine charm and much historical and military memorabilia. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly, the drinks are well priced and it is in a fabulous location. Go there, you’ll not regret it.

What an amazing pub combined with a brilliant antique emporium, some fantastic items and a wonderful hour or two can be followed with a refreshing drink

Lovely place and fast drink service. Customer service felt a little abrupt like we were an issue for being there. We were served my a blonde woman who seemed to be perhaps stressed out but overall a little rude and made us feel like a burden.

Unexpected pleasure - fantastic furbishishment, excellent cocktails, friendly staff and nice touch with hot nibbles. Not to mention model ships by the toilets - what more could one ask for?

Great pub. Currently £5 per Moretti (Oct 2022). History that goes back hundreds of years. Swedish Landlady is friendly and sociable. The occasional ABBA seems obligatory. See the antique shop during the day for some interesting finds. There's a Russian 1970s anti tank missile here this week.

Place is fantastic but some of the staff are rude and deceitful.

Stumbled on this place lastnight (I’m from out of town) thought I’d just stop for one, but what a great place great staff and table service will visit again

It has a stuffed red squirrel amongst other things. The whole 4 floors are mesmerising. Be prepared to spend a few hours in there mulling over memorabilia and curiosities. Super informative and friendly staff also double up as museum guides to all the wonderment in this aladin's cave. This has to be in your Portsmouth list of things to do when you visit.

Took a friend to The Sally Port for the first time and he was very impressed.

My sister and I popped in for a cocktail. We were served by the delightful Ana who is a remarkable cocktail craftstress. Needless to say we had 5 cocktails and departed very very happy. Well run and definitely worth a visit!:)

Love it BUT...needs at least baguettes or sandwiches or something more than bar snacks. Doesn't have to be full cooked food but perhaps a deal with a quality sandwich provider would be the cherry on the Sally Port Inn experience 👍🏻🙂
