The best restaurants in South East

The food was good, the service was great, and a good atmosphere. The coffee shop was clean and tidy.

I’m a regular Caffè Nero customer across the UK, but unfortunately, this branch in Winchester was a disappointment. The place didn’t feel clean, and the staff weren’t particularly friendly or welcoming. I didn’t feel comfortable during my visit. The coffee was okay, but the overall atmosphere left a lot to be desired. Definitely not up to the usual Nero standards I’m used to

A really lovely place. Lunch, dinner and breakfast all excellent. Set in a beautiful village, there’s a lovely garden, the staff were amazing, the room lovely, really nice extra touches. Such good value. Would highly recommend.

This is a lovely all you can eat with reasonable prices. The decor hasn't changed much in the last 30 years but the food will help you see past it. They have a good range of food which is all freshly prepared. I attended at lunch time and it wasn't busy in the slightest, I highly recommend a visit if you are starving and fancy some good Chinese food.

Ordered from here twice. Both times ordered meat and chips. First time portions were ridiculously small. Gave them benefit of doubt and repeated the order a few weeks later. This time I ordered extra meat. Even with extra meat portions are smaller than other kebab shops in area. Not gone back since

A nice location on the seafront with some outside seating on a sunny day. we stopped for a snack and hot drink. We very disappointed at the high prices charge completely out of proportion for this type of establishment

The most expensive chips I've ever eaten at £4 for one portion. Not nice ones either. The fat tasted and smelt old. I wouldn't buy from there again. I was intending to buy a portion each, but we ended up sharing one instead. They had a massive queue of people buying at the car boot sale, so were making an absolute killing

They've changed the menu again and taken away the abillity to remove toppings from burgers which results in soggy food, never ordering from this place again the quality has gone so far downhill the last 2 years that it might as well be underground.

I come for the food but stay for the staff, max in particular has always been so warm and friendly 💕💕

Had a lovely Easter lunch with Mum. The food was delicious, the waitress was lovely and the pub is traditional. AND … there’s Bob the Parrot! We will definitely be back.

We called in today (Bank Holiday Monday May 5th!) Wasn't sure if we would get a Meal as we hadn't booked but the Staff made us very welcome! Menu was extremely varied & fairly priced! All Meals we ordered were Beautifully cooked,large portions & piping hot! Puddings were great too! Absolutely delighted & will call in again when we next visit Hastings! Highly recommend!

After reading the negative reviews I think it’s mandate to write reality. The place has authentic Indian street snacks and their chutneys are also very authentically made(some who is into cooking can tell it). It’s clearly written outside on their board Indian street snacks so do not expect 5 star hotel’s cafeteria ambience. At the price they offer, it’s the best they can. Late evenings is definitely for the younger crowd! Service very quick, beer is great, beer garden is lovely but closes earlier than the pub at which point far too crowded and noisy.
