The best restaurants in North West

Found this little gem, whilst in Blackpool! Without doubt one of the best indian meals I have had! Food was very fresh and tasty, very well priced and excellent waiting staff. Very friendly and great atmosphere! A must if you are in Blackpool!

Visited today for lunch. Beautiful welcome and atmosphere. We had an issue with a family member being unwell. The staff couldn't do enough for us. Bagged one meal up for us, and asked if I wanted my meal keeping warm. When I was ready to eat it, they had prepared me a whole new meal. Such lovely, empathetic staff. It's actually made very emotional as to how understanding the staff were. The food was epic. Out of this world. We will definitely be visiting again. Never, ever have I had such good service from such lovely people. You made its a very special visit, given the personal circumstances. Thank you. X

Extremely overpriced cheap food. Beer extortionately overpriced. Pie meal had thick pastry and five chips on the plate. Tasted like frozen chips. Child's pizza looked like it came from Asda cheap range. Beer just under £7 a pint. First and last visit

Really good curry in a lovely curry house. Friendly staff and reasonably priced too.

Accommodated a last-minute booking due to poor bookings at other local eatery. The food was exceptional and plentiful. Staff were very welcoming and nice to chat to. Bar was fully stocked, and overall, the price was very reasonable for a couple.

The one thing about Liverpool City Centre is there are many interesting old pub's and the Cornmarket is one of the oldest and it's one of the best.Located on Old Ropery'the Cornmarket has a fantastic interior with an old world look and feel. The pub dates from the 18th century and is full of character.The interior to this historic pub has many interesting fixture's and lot's of original feature's.There's wood panelling that was taken from a clipper ship that was called the Reina Del Pacifico and excellent seating options. If you enter from Moor street this pub looks completely different as up to the 1960s this was the Bulls Head pub.This pub was taken over by the Cornmarket and has thrived as a pub since then.We have been visiting this pub for many years and it's just as good as it's ever been. We went to here early in the afternoon and it was very busy which is how we like places as the atmosphere is better when pubs are busy.When we visited we had a few glasses of Carling brewery lagers which where first rate and were reasonably priced. I had the Early Bird Special with some friends and it was delicious! The pork pring rolls are so juicy, then had the chicken friend rice which you can never go wrong with. To top it off, a lovely vanilla ice cream with a wafer. Very friendly and helpful staff and a favourite place to go.

Visited to meet a friend for coffee, this was a good half way point for us. Service was good, they had decaff option which was a plus, nice atmosphere.

A fairly small, simple and quaint restaurant, but excellent value and delicious Chinese food. The chicken and sweetcorn soup is some of the best I have ever tasted. Well seasoned and the texture is perfect, as often some places make it way too gloopy. The prawn toast had more prawn in it than virtually every other place i have been, furthermore you can tell its homemade rather than the oh so common freezer to fryer ones made with a prawn and chicken mix. The hot garlic beef steak was absolutely divine, so tender and spicy, a standout dish. Only downside, the sweet and sour wasn’t great, I have much better elsewhere, but the rest of the food is so good it doesn’t bother me, I just don’t order it anymore! If you have somewhere to eat at home, there isn’t much advantage to eating out at the restaurant compared to as a takeaway as its a simple setting, but regardless the staff have always been very friendly and catered to our needs well. The best Chinese in Bowness/Windermere and it’s not even close! (And trust me, at the time of writing we have been to them all!)

Good food was served ,enjoyed by all . Roast dinner at a cheap price with pudding and drinks at a small extra cost .Lot of customer arrived even thought it was a wet and windy day .The staff had done a lot of work to the caffee with Halloween coming up . Will return soon .Thank you all

Good reviews encouraged us to call in for wine. However wine of choice not available and we prefer an establishment where the toilets flush and the climb to the toilets is not helped by exceptionally sticky handrails. Not for us. Back to Paysan !

No toilet for customers is not nice.

Excellent experience. The food was tasty different and delicious, the atmosphere relaxed and service friendly, helpful and the pub also accommodated our little dog. We will certainly lunch here again. Thankyou
