Food was excellent staff and atmosphere perfect.

Excellent atmosphere, drinks were brilliant, main course was good however I ordered the calamari starter which is one of the most expensive items on the antipasti section. It came in rings and was flavourless, it was confirmed that is was frozen which I wouldn’t have minded except it had no flavour. They took it off the bill, staff were friendly and accommodating however I was disappointed hence my 3 star review.

Always love visiting, the pianist in the lobby was great, food was amazing, I had the Truffle infused ham as my starter and the orange and apricot braised duck leg. Could’ve been the best meal I’ve had. Servers very attentive and always offering more drinks.

Been here 3 times. 1st time food and service was good. 2nd time food was not too bad and service was good 3rd time booked table for 6pm, waited to be seated. 7pm still not seated. Had to call staff over. Then finally seated. But no apology from staff what so ever. Starter arrived - Pate - But was just toast from normal bread popped in a toaster. What a joke!!! Seriously! Lasagne arrived and was nothing but mush. Pizza arrived with hardly anything on it. Head staff have a bad attitude and give the impression that they think they are something special. Over priced, poor service, and stuck up head staff that don't want to cater to couples. Only intetested in large parties. Unable to keep to times that tables are booked for. Had better food and service from smaller restaurants rhan this one, if you can call it that! Will never come back here ever again. Chef - more like a cook with a basic food and hygiene certificate.

Absolutely lovely restaurant. The bar area is spacious and bright and I like that they provide table service. The staff are very attentive and and the food is excellent. I will be making this restaurant a regular venue.

Arrived to what I intllally thought was a beautiful place , and we were seated in and asked to order in the lovely bar area which I thought was odd , before being moved into what I'd call the ugly budget lounge. The environment was unwelcoming with far too many clicky circling staff in an unfriendly atmosphere which made.me feel like I wanted to leave and I didn't finish my meal. If you are looking for a special meal then I definitely would not recommend here! For a fantastic Italian meal and restaurant I recommend the millstone at Chorley 😊

Always a reliable place for good Italian food.

One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to! The food is always freshly prepared and absolutely delicious, especially their arrabbiata pasta and garlic bread. This place is a go-to for family outings, offering a wide variety of options, and the staff is always happy to accommodate different dietary preferences since everything is made fresh. I asked for my pasta without meat, and they were more than happy to prepare it just the way I wanted. The staff is consistently kind, and the service is exceptional. The atmosphere is fantastic, it’s like having dinner in a warm, welcoming family environment. I love coming here and always look forward to it. For pasta, garlic bread, and drinks, I paid just over £30, which is an incredible value!

Me and my wife visited the Italian Orchard for are 25th wedding Anniversary we have been here before and really enjoyed it so we decided we would go for are Anniversary and we was not disappointed it was fantastic from start to finish the place is brilliant very clean everywhere the staff made you feel welcome from the minute you walked in to leaving the food was brilliant fresh and cooked perfectly and very reasonable after the meal we decided to stay and have a few more drinks at the bar and like everywhere else you was made to feel welcome very professional another reason would be the piano player he seem to make people relax and chill someone walked in with 60th birthday balloons and he changed the music to Happy Birthday to you and that alone made everyone smile and not just at the birthday table we felt relaxed while we was having a drink this is due to how you where made to feel welcome and the staff at the bar talked to you while you was ordering drinks all the staff was like that definitely will be going again and its definitely worth a visit if you want a chilled, friendly night out with great food and drink and great service and friendly staff thank you to everyone there that made are night that extra special especially one member of staff behind the bar he will know who I mean and thank you for the drinks it meant a lot

Absolutely amazing venue, by far my favourite Italian hidden gem... warm friendly service, excellent, affordsble, high quality food. A "must visit" for all the family. Suited to family meal, celebration meal or date.

Really nice place. Very clean. Food was good. Nobody had anything bad to say out of our group of 8. Kind of in the middle of no where with not much to do nearby but it was still busy. Would definitely return.

Service and wine was good. The food, however, was very disappointing, lacked flavour and didn’t scream quality. Definitely not worth the price. We left early and went to Amico Mio for dessert to avoid further disappointment.

I usually love it here but when I visited with some friends on Thursday evening the service was so overbearing it was heard to have a conversation. We were asked twice during our starters if everything was ok, and 3 times during our main. I get the importance of courtesy checking but 3 times in one course by 3 different people becomes a nuisance and actually starts to impact your enjoyment. The service was quick but it did mean we breezed through 2 courses and wanted some time to chat before deserts, x5 times we were asked if we wanted any deserts, despite me saying can we have 20mins please and we will let you know. After the 5th time I said do you need the table back as I’m starting to get the impression you want us gone, they assured me this wasn’t the case (which I’d assumed already as there was free tables around) but they were just doing their job. I’ll be honest it was frustrating for the 3 of us as it felt really disruptive and whilst I love good service there is a balance which felt very wrong this time.

I've been here before the food is excellent, this time I didn't enjoy it as much hence the 4 stars. I like to try different food each time I go somewhere this dish just wasn't for me. I've put 4 as someone else tried it in are group and kept trying it he says it was lovely. The service is brilliant and at times very entertaining ( little Italian guy) sorry didn't get his name. The wine now there's a brilliant choice, the misses sticks to what she knows , pino not very adventurous, but she is always right. Will be going again give it a try you won't be disappointed.

Food was excellent. We had a table of 7 food all served at same time and was hot. Reasonably priced for a beautiful restaurant. Can’t wait to go back.

Very rude and unprofessional do not recommend

Always been our go to restaurant for special occasions etc, service great, lovely setting also…on this occasion the pizza’s weren’t at their normal standard, felt they were put together in a rush and a little bland, the garlic pizza bread was great and so was the meat filled pasta.

Beautiful meal in a lovely, modern (very large) restaurant. Eight of us went on a very busy Sunday. We were served quickly and effectively. The staff are great. Everything was perfect 10/10

Visited with extended family for lunch. Excellent food and service during a busy Sunday lunch time. Staff were very attentive and polite. Food well presented, freshly prepared and cooked to a high quality.

Strange dining experience, we felt a little bit like we were in an Italian cruise ship canteen with all the staff and average mass produced "Italian cuisine". Some nice touches, staff friendly, but felt a bit overstaffed and over managed, missing those genuine personal touches. £11 + for a glass of wine was a little steep, but i get someone who needs to pay for the owners Bentley parked outside! My conclusion is that if you want a proper Italian restaurant experience, find a small, family run independent that is in it for more than just the cash with a personal touch.

The food here is great with a well priced lunchtime menu. Service is always good with a lively Italian atmosphere. We've always arrived at 12:00 for lunchtime but by 13:00 it's usually busy, however plenty of tables. I've only been for lunch so don't know about evenings, but they do have events like wine tasting and discounts for their wine shop if you eat there. Would very much recommend. Cappuccino is good as you'd expect from an Italian restaurant but still good to see and taste. Update: continued to attend and food, service has maintained excellent standard. Strangely, saw Tyson Fury eating there today, so service must be good.

Great food and fabulous service

I’ve visited Italian Orchard several times over the years, but I’ve never been particularly impressed by the food. However, I thought I’d give it another chance, as it’s been a while since my last visit. Unfortunately, my recent experience only reinforced my previous disappointment. In the past, I’ve typically ordered the stroganoff, but given how underwhelming our mains were last time, my wife and I decided to play it safe and opted for pizzas. Both were incredibly mediocre—dry, hard, and utterly unremarkable. The menu itself is far too extensive, offering so many options but failing to deliver on many of them. What’s even more telling is that everyone I’ve spoken to about this restaurant shares the same complaint: the food just isn’t good. This is the consistent conversation going on in the community, and it’s clearly a long-standing issue that hasn’t been addressed. If your a big family with lots of kids, plenty of space for them to burn of energy whilst you have a drink but if it’s quality food or a decent feed your after you’ll be disappointed. While Italian Orchard might point to challenges like the cost of living or post-COVID recovery to explain its lack of trade, the truth is simpler: the food is the problem. Despite being a visually beautiful restaurant, it’s let down by poor quality dishes—a real shame for a venue with such potential. Italian Orchard needs a complete overhaul in management if it hopes to stay afloat, especially with so many other excellent dining options in the area. As it stands, the food is bad, the service is just average.

Booked for an afternoon meal .. What can I say the service is great and attentive. The food is good as a party of 4 non of us were disappointed at all with our meal choices.. the restaurant itself is modern yet intimate and relaxed .. after our meal we retreated to the bar area where the service was also really good for post meal drinks.

Don't choose table 120 as this is where the ridiculous amount of staff congregate when trying to steal your plate before you've even finished your meal. 70/30% staff to diner ratio. Felt like being sat and rushed in a fast food chain. Visited from Australia seeing family and was bitterly dissappointing, especially after commenting on the poor staff training to a senior staff member who decided to not respect my comments, disagree with me. I had been coming here for 35 years and my parent's even longer. Dissappointing considering we felt rushed paying top end prices. Better staff training would prove beneficial to the diners, three if the staff actually attempted to take my plate away when in resting phase with cutlery displayed signifying this.

We where lookin g forward to returning this new years eve ..the food was disappointing.. peperoni pizza was poor my rib eye steak was also poor ..although the surrounding s and staff are wonderful

We were there last night for my son's 18th birthday dinner. The service was amazing. It was busy due to the festive season but there were lots of staff available to attend to us happily, the food came in good time and was very fresh and delicious. Very lovely atmosphere with lots of free parking and disabled access.

We have just arrived in the area from Kent and looked for a restaurant with good reviews to have a nice family meal at after a long day driving 😊 we were delighted that we ended up at The Italian Orchard all the staff were friendly and inviting 👍the service was very good and the food was delicious 😋 it is a large restaurant but designed in a way that it still feels intimate with a warm atmosphere with lots of smaller areas 😎 we enjoyed looking 👀 at some of the Italian 🇮🇹 memorabilia 🏍️🏎️🚗 we would definitely recommend a visit and we would definitely return if we are in the area again 😎

Went here for my father’s birthday meal. Ideal for accommodating those using wheelchairs, which my father does. The food was good, service was good, friendly staff and good atmosphere. Recommend it and will be returning

Went here last weekend for a Christmas meal with Critical Care Support Group from Royal Preston Hospital. Enjoyed it thoroughly . Good company , food and service .

Sadly did not live up to the hype. Service and atmosphere very canteen like. No personal attention at all and the food brought out on a conveyor belt. Very average food. I had the Italian sausage and it was tasteless. Wouldn't go back tbh.

Fantastic place massive inside with lots of staff good food.

A meal for four, service was excellent and all the staff were friendly. The food was superb, looked good, tasted delicious, and served in a timely manner.

Really disappointing experience. Food sub-standard. We came for lunchtime after having heard good things. Ordered off the lunch 2 course menu. Starters were a bruchetta, which was chorizo and black pudding with chargrilled veg and a pork dish. The bruchetta wasn't even a bruchetta. It was a piece of soggy bread with a round of black pudding on it served with a weird onion mixed veg sauce. The pork was the best thing we ate, but even that was fatty and only 3 oo 5. Mains were both really poor What was advertised as rabbit peices in a red wine sauce was a single hunk of Rabbit still in its carcass, with a non descript brown sauce that had started to congeal. It made me feel sick and I didn't eat it. My partner had duck in orange sauce, and again, the sauce had congealed. Both the mains came with "seasonal vegetables," which consisted of four boiled carrot discs, an undercooked peice of broccoli, and a stringy peice of mange tous. Really disappointing. I think they might be riding off a well established reputation of old rather than on current food quality. The staff were friendly enough and the atmosphere was ok, if a little loud, with lots of parties. Couldn't recommend it, definitely not with the food like that.

Stunning place but the food was very average for the high price they charge, I was quite disappointed as we do like to visit different Italian restaurants and I wouldn’t really go back here I’m afraid.

The food is always quite nice. The portions are adequate and price reflects the service. The service, is usually excellent, if you've a good sense of humour 🤔☺️🤣 And the wine is divine. I'm 60. So I find the place loud and 'in your face'. But I still go back. (Though I prefer Rico's or pulchi pizza in polton.)

Good friends made it nice Garlic bread was not cooked enough making it thick and doughy. Wasn’t nice. A three slices of carrots with two small florets of broccoli accompanied a scattering of small potatoes was served with a rolled piece of chicken. Not good value at all and then the price of the drinks. Very expensive. It really puts me off going.

Love the Italian Orchard, always a wonderful selection of authentic Italian food with a huge selection of considered wine to pair. Pizza bread is so fresh and the waiters will always give informed advice. Chicken livers are amazing as are the pizzas, pasta fish and steak. You can't go wrong but book first, weekends are full!

Lovely place for family celebration

First time here and went for a family meal for my birthday. Beautiful modern decor, very big inside but doesn't feel like a huge impersonal space. Very well organised from sitting down for drinks to paying the bill at the end of the evening. We came on a very busy Saturday night but this had no effect on the standards. The menu is vast with plenty of choice. The service was excellent, with plenty of polite professional waiting staff on hand so there was no waiting for ages for drinks or the next course. Food was delicious, and cooked to perfection. Our party of 6 thoroughly enjoyed everything we had and we left nothing on our plates! Great place for a special occasion if you want to splash out. Would definitely recommend and wouldn't hesitate to come back here.

Came here for my granddaughter’s 16th birthday on Monday, there was 2 young female waitresses serving drinks who smiled, the rest of the staff were rude, miserable, no manners. I will spend £280 else where next time. Rude staff with zero people skills

Nice food served quickly but the restaurant was really busy and loud. We had to shout to have a conversation (which it seemed like everyone else was doing too). Service was OK but ordered a drink that didn't arrive for 20 minutes so had to reorder from a different member of staff

Hot food came to table cold in the middle not good

Loved the food and the atmosphere for a date with my partner. I had a steak diane, and my partner had a pizza (which looked delicious). There was quite a lot to choose from on the menu, including suckling pig, which would have been my second choice for food. The desserts were noce, but definitely not made in the restaurant. However, the coffee renour was lovely. The cream was obviously from a can that was bought in, which was a bit of a shame because freshly whipped cream would have elivated it. The only point that could have been better was the service for our table. We had a wait for a long time to be given the dessert menu and then finally pay, whilst the table next to us had been seated just after us, got their food and dessert and left a good 15 minutes before us because their services were paying attention, whilst ours seemed to disappear off somewhere for half an hour.

Friendly welcome, good service and altogether lovely food. I opted for a Garlic Bread with Cheese to start which was nicely cooked and had plenty of garlic and cheese. I then had a mushroom Ravioli dish for my main. This was huge and with plenty of mushrooms and pancetta as well. Visiting the area for work for the first time and will certainly consider visiting again next time.

One of the best places in Lancashire for sure! Beautiful outdoors, very nice and quiet and food is quite nice too. Our favourites were the bakwell cocktail and meringue, closely followed by the berry cheesecake and Mexican chicken. Recommend and would return again.
