Damascus in Preston

Kofta was perfect but we need option to add bread along with the chips. I wish also they add dal lintel with their lamb mandi with rice because food can be dry. Thanks

Absolutely terrible. I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap meal that was supposed to come with salad and coleslaw – instead, I got some sad, borderline inedible veg and not a single trace of coleslaw or salad. Complete false advertising not getting what you’ve stated in the description. The chips were stone cold and soggy, clearly left sitting out for who knows how long. The sauce was disgusting and made the entire wrap barely edible. Surprised at how bad it was considering the positive reviews. Possibly the worst takeaway I’ve had in years, avoid at all costs.

Had a full chicken with rice for the take away It was absolutely disgusting the chicken was already smelly I will never ever visit this restaurant again it was very old as soon as I opened the bag Throw it in the trash 🤮

Wonderful food! I highly recommend the chicken swarma wrap, which comes woth chips, dips, pickles and salad. Very attentive, friendly staff. We got free soup and a couple of sweets. Busy on a friday, so go early.

Taking too much time to prepare meal..specially they sometimes they use others used sauces (i saw this with my own eyes)..mutton and lambs are sometimes not freshly cooked (i got some bad smells from mutton when i had dine in one day).i am not going there anyway..very bad experience.

For couple of times in a row the fries where just warmed up, not fresh, otherwise the quality of the shawarma and pizza was good as always. I've asked for a few dips on the side as I've paid more than £35 for the order, but they didn't came.

its not what I ordered. it should have been meet, wrap, fries and colesaw.Instead its a very small wrap with a little meat in it , some sour cabage, some garlic sauce and fries.

I have been a regular at this place for two years now, and the food has been wonderful each time. I am usually served by Issam, whose pleasant demeanor is an asset to the restaurant. The atmosphere is casual and is reminiscent of the restaurants I used to frequent in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

The place is very clean and the staff are extremely friendly. They gave us free sweets and fries. I have been there at least 20 times and I always order Syrian chicken shawarma as it is the best there.

Honestly, this is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever visited. The staff is incredibly friendly, making you feel like part of their family. As for the food, the lamb is incredibly tender — it’s worth every penny. You definitely get your money’s worth with portions that’ll keep you full all day. I highly recommend the lamb mandi, chicken mandi, and the shawarma.

Tried their Mandhi and kabsa.. We loved it and also Excellent service.Only problem we faced is that they accept cash only, we have to walk to find an ATM.

Anfal is a blessing to Damascus restaurant. She is an amazing super super customer service provider. Damascus needs happy and welcoming staff like Anfal. Zico, Abdo is one of the best chef he makes an amazing lentil soup and Mohamed is one of the hard workers who is always smiling with the customers. All the staff are very good and welcoming . Keep it up and well done 👍👍👍👍

Food tastes very fresh. I literally feel like I’m in a restaurant. Food was hot and delivered fast.

Been ignoring this place for a while, but today decided to try it with my family. We were surprised by the size of the meal, menu said it's for 3-4 people, but it was even too much for family of 5 (4 adults and a child). Nice atmosphere and delicious food. My daughter, who is a picky eater, loved the food, she even said it's will be her favourite. Highly recommend 👌

I asked for Qabli rice in Lamb Mandi, but rice are not Qabli. They have red pepper and not to the quality of Damascus. I will show picture when visit in person.

Went for the first time because of the good reviews online. Asked for chicken fajita with no onions. They bring the fajita with the onions. I asked for it to be changed. When they brought the second fajita plate with no onions - there were 2 hairs on 2 separate pieces of chicken. When we told them, they said they will give us a 40p discount

very tasty food. thought you get chips and rice together with the mix grill as per just eat options but only got rice. wasn't much of a problem as the portions were huge and unfair to take any stars off because of that. Will continue to order 😀

Excellent experience we got the sea bass and chicken kofta both came with a side, salad, sauces and bread. The seabass was beautifully cooked, with a delicate, flaky texture that melted in the mouth. Its skin was crisp and golden, offering a lovely contrast to the tender meat. The chicken kofta had a savory, aromatic blend of spices that gave it a comforting warmth. The texture was juicy yet firm, without being dry. Both meals with a drink cost £22 which is excellent value. We will definitely be back soon! Highly recommend this place.

I just found Kabuli Pulao on the menu, and it looks like it's a new addition! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. If you’re looking for a spot with great food, a welcoming vibe, and staff who truly care, Damascus is the place to go. I’ll definitely be back soon!

It's a few weeks since we visited Damascus on a Saturday night. As has always been the case when we visit this fine, non-fussy Middle Eastern restaurant, we left absolutely stuffed and very happy! The food served here is as authentic as what you would find in an eatery in Damascus, Homs, Idlib etc and comes with a price which is extraordinarily cheap when you consider the amount served and the shear quality of the food! Special thanks to Farah who made our visit even better. Farah was a wonderful waitress who advised and offered her opinions on the dishes available in a warm, friendly and very cheerful persona - Thanks Damascus and Farah (Phil and Georgia)

Absolutely amazing food! The moutabal was creamy, smokey and dotted with juicy pops of Pomegranate. The mohammra fatayer was deep, with a nice heat. The fattoush salad was fresh and fragrant. This food leaves a smile!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Damascus, and I can’t recommend it enough. The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. From the appetizers to the dessert, everything was cooked to perfection. What truly set the experience apart, though, was the wait staff. They were incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. It was clear that they genuinely cared about providing a top-notch experience for their guests. Overall, Damascus exceeded my expectations in every way. I can’t wait to return and enjoy another memorable meal.

Excellent food , Excellent service can’t complain

We had a very pleasant experience here. Amazing food and portion size was good too, but most importantly the staff members are very polite, kind and accommodating, Brother Zico had us hosting till it was quite late, genuinely respect thier service. Food that we loved very much: Chicken Mandi- so well cooked and soft our toddlers could gobble up the skin, rich flavours infused through depths of the meat... we'll be coming back for it definitely

The amount of food served per person is alot, one plate of mixed grill with rice can feed 2 easily. The falalfel was good, as well as the tanoor bread and other bread based orders, staff very friendly and welcoming.
