Mid week Carvery was the best pub carvery i have ever had

Excellent meals for all of us, served by David who made sure both myself and my daughter who are coeliac 's needs was catered for. Very friendly/knowledgeable making sure the area was cleaned so to prevent any cross contamination, would highly recommend

We attend the restaurant without booking first, yesterday early evening. The staff are so attentive, there was one gentleman serving us; he offered us help with our Mum in ordering food not only from the main menu but a lighter menu too. He was so lovely,I just wanted to personally thank him (although we did when we were leaving) he was caring, attentive, friendly that's rare to find these days. The staff at this establishment, are all very polite and professional. Keep up the good work guys.

I was especially pleased with the lengths Michaela went to in order to make sure our party of 6 had a good time. However, I was disappointed to learn that my tip could not be retained by her (as per the new legislation) and had to be shared with others. The only minus was two of the meals arrived later as the majority had ordered carvery and had gone up to get them. This seems uncoordinated at best.

3 people in our group, 1 being a vegetarian. There was a good atmosphere and it was busy but they were very accommodating. Their table queueing system is very good. There were plenty of members of attentive staff, and all were working hard. The carvery was OK to good, we were expecting better, especially for the price.

The price is modest but you can fill your plate with side dishes. Convenient parking, warm atmosphere

Food was good quality. No table service which I found quite strange, also the request for tip on the card machine before receiving any food or service is a bizarre and quite frankly an uncomfortable request!

We have been for lunch today after going to the jolly sailor on Thursday evening . We ordered £70.00 worth of food and drink . Looking forward to the Margherita pizza as was so lovely and fresh the same menu at the jolly . This time it looked unfortunately like it had come out of packet frozen with no basil or rocket like it states on the menu / no taste.. ate one tiny piece. One of the waitresses was great , we explained isn't what states on the menu . She said she had raised this with the managers to get something sorted but yet no one came out to acknowledge us or the disappointment. Won't be returning to eat again anytime soon .

Went on Wednesday this week , have not eaten here for a long time, very very nice lots of choice,we had the pie and apple crumble,staff are amazing defo come again.

Lovely pub with a really good carvery. There were plenty of meat choices, and the veg was cooked to perfection. My only gripe is (as with all carveries). If you upgrade to a larger meal, you don't really get much more meat than standard, and I wish they wouldn't carve the meat so thinnnnnn. Also £10.50 for half a lager shandy and a Pepsi. Bit extortionate. However, a lovely pub and Sunday carvery is gorgeous ....gets packed out, so be prepared to wait or book before you go.

Anyone who has been to the Puss in Boots will know that you can't get much better. Staff are lovely, landlord gets to know all of his customers and makes them feel welcome. Food is hearty and to a good standard. Always clean and tidy. Worth a visit.

The waitress Sam went above and beyond, was extremely helpful with the children and the food was Devine! Definitely be going again!

A nearby post rehearsal for a group of us. Unfortunately, clashes with Quiz night which is partway through when we arrive. Quizmaster microphone/speaker very loud also so we use covered area outside which can be heated. Service is fantastic and although I've rarely had food there, friends say it's very good and well presented.

Visited on my birthday for an evening meal. Food was delicious, I love the Tuscan Salmon. The service was great, Shannon was really friendly!

An excellent place to have a nice informal meal with family and friends. I had the steak n ale pie special, which tasted great, and others had a very nice carvery. Would recommend if in the area.

Friendly welcome staff, food okay. Only negative is that a service charge (tip) is automatically added to the bill (we were a couple not a large group). Was happy to tip on this occasion but this practice has put me off returning.

Great spot for a carvery in Stockport! The gammon on the carvery was next-level. Juicy, perfectly cooked, and just the right amount of saltiness, it was absolutely delicious. The rest of the roast was good too, but that gammon stole the show for me. Service was spot on, super friendly and quick, and the atmosphere was really warm and welcoming. It's one of those pubs where you can just relax and enjoy a proper hearty meal. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

It's nice. Food was decent and the service was very good. Marta ended up helping our son with his spot the difference. It's nothing fancy but pub food done well.

Very busy, but fitted us in for table for 4 straight away. Frank very friendly and helpful. Food came out bit earlier before the others could get carvery, but not an issue, were very apologetic about it. Food was fresh and good quality. Reasonable priced. Had a great time. Highly recommended. Will be back soon

Food is always top notch, staff are absolutely amazing, so friendly and helpful and if you're just going for a drink, the beer is spot on and the selection of wines and spirits is second to none! Not my local by distance, but will always be a local to venture to!

Came here today, with some relatives. We each had a carvery lunch. The staff looked after us well and there was a great atmosphere. It was a very enjoyable visit.

Nice pub great atmosphere and the food was good, The down side is they automatically add a service charge on your bill which in my opinion isn't good, I would rather tip the people that serve me and serve me well, just my opinion having worked in the service industry for many years!

Slow service even though almost empty. Then nearly 7 quid for a gluten free shandy. That's competely extortionate for one drink.

First time at the puss in boots and had a carvery meal as yo having a 40 mins drive home . Absolutely First class meal ,, alls I can say is the service was very welcoming and the food was cooked to a extremely high standard. Would certainly recommend to anyone passing by to call in . Without a doubt our fave pub! Atmosphere inside and out is great! Food is delicious and they have a great selection if drinks, but what we love even more is they are dog friendly but actually make them feel so welcome, our dog Penny always comes with us and loves the Scoops doggy ice cream they sell. Great pub.

Puss in boots is highly recommended if you are near Manchester. This is a recommended menu for free use of the salad bar. Choose from 3 types of meat.

After arriving at the local Premiere Inn for an overnight stay due to work I find out they are not serving evening meals. A quick google and I stumbled upon this gem. Highly recommended for any local, tourist or overnighters du to work. The service was quick and friendly and the selection of beers was good but the crowning glory has to be the food. If you are in the area pop by this amazing pub. You will not be disappointed.

Wow. This was amazing. Lots to choose from. I ordered the carvery. The service was excellent, polite and very efficient. A regular Carvery was great value and the Large Caevery you get a lot more extra meat too. Definitely worth trying 😎👌😍

Loved it. The perfect place to meet with long lost friends for lunch. Staff were amazing and we even got to meet the owner who was lovely.

I first time join here, come with my local friends, order a carvery, no alcohol drink, feeling very chill and happiness nearby, I like their playground, many different games, it brings my childhood memories, good place.

A well laid out, clean pub, fast bar service , a well stocked Carvery, with a varied selection of meats and vegetables. The queuing area was cramped, mainly because the area was opposite a large seating/ dining area, with the toilet facilities further along the corridor. There was also an easily accessed outdoor, part open, part covered seating area. The managers and staff were friendly, attentive, and professional. Highly Recommended!!

Great food. Great fun. Saw puss in boots on the sign. He said howdy. Children’s play area very good. Hot chocolate is chocolatey and feels like it was made by wonka.

A lovely little pub to take my mum for Sunday lunch. Staff are very friendly and hospitable, including the manager even when he is ran off his feet! Its a very busy place but that doesnt affect the quality of the service. I would highly recommend this place

Large carvery youkshire puddings like rubber. Beef well overcooked. Not a single bit of pink. The Sahara desert 🏜 would have had more moisture. The nly positive thing to come out of today was the waitress

Great place to eat at, best carvery ever, friendly atmosphere. Been going here for many years had many family celebrations here, from christenings, anniversary, birthdays plus18ths to wakes. Cannot fault The Puss in Boots.

Carvery was really nice. Sometimes depending on server I don't feel you get enough meat.£15.75 for Carvery on a Sunday. Other standard meals are of a similar price so with drinks can get expensive

Fantastic service today by Cameesha, couldn’t do enough for us. Welcomes us with a big smile and made sure we had everything we needed. As ever the food was perfect, my little girl asks to come here all the time so if this 6 year old loves it we are onto a winner! Look forward to our return.

Absolutely brilliant I could write an essay

Visited last weekend. I had beef lasagne/garlic bread/salad and my partner had pepperoni pizza 🍕 Both were spot on sooo much flavour 👌 piping hot and freshly made. Super busy with it being Sunday but service was great as well. Never had a bad meal here!
