Sam the lady who served us was so friendly made us feel very welcome . The carvery was really nice the beef was so tender . I will definitely be returning

The choices of carvery were great. But not very hot

Visited on Friday evening and the service was very good despite it being busy. We came for a meal and drinks served by Alfie. He was on point checking we was okay and if we needed anything. Very polite and friendly. The food is lovely here and I always look forward to visiting.

Really recommend the carvery. Lots of choices and all for a decent price. Been a couple times now and will be back. The staff are super lovely too.

Didn't eat just had drinks and the place was great

We ordered the carvery at the end of the serving time and everything was still fresh and hot and delicious. We were offered refills past the official closing of the carvery. Very accommodating staff.

A well priced, delicious Sunday carvery in a delightful family friendly atmosphere with helpful staff - what more could you ask for? My girlfriend and I were on our way back from a long walk in the Peak District and fancied some wholesome Sunday lunch. We were properly sorted out with a big plate of tasty grub! A faultless selection of fresh meats, veg and all the trimmings that was excellent value for money. Highly recommended! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Great place for food and drink great atmosphere

This place does mass catering well. The carvery is a well practised art here. Food is hot choice of meats and veg. My o ly grip is the the chef has perfected the wafer cut on the roasts and you can only choose 3 slices across the range of meats. And at £19 that was disappointing.

Booked a table of eight people today, 29th March after we were seated, then told we needed to move as we had been seated i”at the wrong table, we were then cramped round another small table as the server told us a larger party were sitting there( they were a party of eight as well) we were offered garlic ciabatta as an apology- it was like cardboard. On to the food, the carvery was very good as was the dessert. All in all very disappointing visit, I booked this weeks ago, having to move tables for no reason was annoying. I don’t like being lied to and being fobbed off with the cheapest thing on the menu really isn’t on.

Bit disappointed with the Sri Lankan chicken curry as only had 3small strips of chicken, the rest made up of butternut squash and courgette. Husband's steak was sinewy

Staff are so helpful and kind. Has a small kids play area that works great as is next to a large undercover outside area with caravan style serving outlet for drinks plus there’s a large private dining room that we used for a birthday meal. Carvery is to die for. Had salt and pepper chicken as a neat option and char siu pork! Loads of choice and kids menu is lovely too

I have jst been here with a couple of friends. I had a delicious chicken ceaser salad, and our server was Marc. He absolutely made our visit. So attentive, helpful, and professional. We look forward to coming back 😊

I really like this place... Staff a little miserable but food was really nice

I ate a meal in the Puss In Boots during a friend's wedding celebration. The food was well cooked, plentiful and the staff were attentive and knowledgeable. It's the first time I'd eaten there but it won't be the last! Our daughter can't have gluten and the staff there were extremely helpful when I inquired about gluten free food. The system they have in place will ensure that there is no cross contamination for her. Very reassuring! We'll be back soon!

Very welcoming, didn't have to wait long for a table & great food

The ambience was good. Had a chilled vibe to it. I went around noon but was pleasantly surprised that there were quite a number of people there at that time. I’ll love to go at night. Not bad.

Very expensive, and all the carvery’s were really cold! Ordered a kids meal with chocolate cake and paid separate for them, didn’t realise until got home. Won’t be going again, really disappointed.

Warm, inviting pub and after a few chats with the manager it was apparent they know how to run a good pub. I found out the carvery is served 7 days a week which is rather rare anywhere these days.

Nice spacious public house, food good excellent menu service good a little slow but suited us. Limited beer choice for our taste. Sat in their conservatory area warm even though it was cold outside. Plenty of Light too. Definitely one to go back too

We come here every time we are in the area visiting family, the carvery is always great and the staff are always friendly and welcoming, the bar area can become a little loud at very busy times if you are just in visiting for drinks although the restaurant area is always quieter to enjoy a conversation

Superb place to go and have a dinner. Carvery is great. The parking is excellent and plentiful. But best of them all was the service. Second to none.

Christmas carvery was a little underwhelming I'm sorry to say.

Only had 2 drinks pre funeral, decor stunning and carvery looked sensational. £6 for Moretti steep but isn't everywhere these days. Dog friendly

Really nice staff and food prices are amazing

I can't fault this place. Having a child with multiple allergies, it takes forward planning before we eat out. I contacted Puss in Boots and quickly had a response from Sarah who said that they can cater for his dietary needs. We booked a table and upon arriving, it was clear that all the staff had been briefed and were expecting us. This instantly eases any anxieties we have and builds trust in the team to keep our little one safe. I was happy that they went above and beyond, double checking ingredients and cooking his carvery seperately without it appearing to be any trouble. The food looked and tasted lovely, meat so tender and a fantastic choice of delicious vegetables. The icecream and desserts were yummy too, even better that they had vegan icecream which my little one enjoyed. I don't often like service charges but this team thoroughly deserved it so thank you, we were very grateful to you all 💛

Had a carvery from here and it was excellent. Went again a couple of days later and had their 10oz sirloin steak rare with triple cooked chips which tasted amazing, the sirloin was a bit chewy but still excellent. The staff are lovely here but it's annoying they put service charge on the bill which is not needed in the UK.

Top carvery. Nice, clean and friendly pub. I take my staff here for carvery and they all love it. Highly recommended.

Mid week Carvery was the best pub carvery i have ever had

We attend the restaurant without booking first, yesterday early evening. The staff are so attentive, there was one gentleman serving us; he offered us help with our Mum in ordering food not only from the main menu but a lighter menu too. He was so lovely,I just wanted to personally thank him (although we did when we were leaving) he was caring, attentive, friendly that's rare to find these days. The staff at this establishment, are all very polite and professional. Keep up the good work guys.

Excellent meals for all of us, served by David who made sure both myself and my daughter who are coeliac 's needs was catered for. Very friendly/knowledgeable making sure the area was cleaned so to prevent any cross contamination, would highly recommend

Lovely restaurant with bar food and also a carvery. Great table service .

I was especially pleased with the lengths Michaela went to in order to make sure our party of 6 had a good time. However, I was disappointed to learn that my tip could not be retained by her (as per the new legislation) and had to be shared with others. The only minus was two of the meals arrived later as the majority had ordered carvery and had gone up to get them. This seems uncoordinated at best.

3 people in our group, 1 being a vegetarian. There was a good atmosphere and it was busy but they were very accommodating. Their table queueing system is very good. There were plenty of members of attentive staff, and all were working hard. The carvery was OK to good, we were expecting better, especially for the price.

The price is modest but you can fill your plate with side dishes. Convenient parking, warm atmosphere

Food was good quality. No table service which I found quite strange, also the request for tip on the card machine before receiving any food or service is a bizarre and quite frankly an uncomfortable request!

Great pub for food both carvery and menu choices are good quality

We have been for lunch today after going to the jolly sailor on Thursday evening . We ordered £70.00 worth of food and drink . Looking forward to the Margherita pizza as was so lovely and fresh the same menu at the jolly . This time it looked unfortunately like it had come out of packet frozen with no basil or rocket like it states on the menu / no taste.. ate one tiny piece. One of the waitresses was great , we explained isn't what states on the menu . She said she had raised this with the managers to get something sorted but yet no one came out to acknowledge us or the disappointment. Won't be returning to eat again anytime soon .

Went on Wednesday this week , have not eaten here for a long time, very very nice lots of choice,we had the pie and apple crumble,staff are amazing defo come again.

Lovely pub with a really good carvery. There were plenty of meat choices, and the veg was cooked to perfection. My only gripe is (as with all carveries). If you upgrade to a larger meal, you don't really get much more meat than standard, and I wish they wouldn't carve the meat so thinnnnnn. Also £10.50 for half a lager shandy and a Pepsi. Bit extortionate. However, a lovely pub and Sunday carvery is gorgeous ....gets packed out, so be prepared to wait or book before you go.

Anyone who has been to the Puss in Boots will know that you can't get much better. Staff are lovely, landlord gets to know all of his customers and makes them feel welcome. Food is hearty and to a good standard. Always clean and tidy. Worth a visit.

The waitress Sam went above and beyond, was extremely helpful with the children and the food was Devine! Definitely be going again!

A nearby post rehearsal for a group of us. Unfortunately, clashes with Quiz night which is partway through when we arrive. Quizmaster microphone/speaker very loud also so we use covered area outside which can be heated. Service is fantastic and although I've rarely had food there, friends say it's very good and well presented.

Visited on my birthday for an evening meal. Food was delicious, I love the Tuscan Salmon. The service was great, Shannon was really friendly!

An excellent place to have a nice informal meal with family and friends. I had the steak n ale pie special, which tasted great, and others had a very nice carvery. Would recommend if in the area.

Friendly welcome staff, food okay. Only negative is that a service charge (tip) is automatically added to the bill (we were a couple not a large group). Was happy to tip on this occasion but this practice has put me off returning.

Great spot for a carvery in Stockport! The gammon on the carvery was next-level. Juicy, perfectly cooked, and just the right amount of saltiness, it was absolutely delicious. The rest of the roast was good too, but that gammon stole the show for me. Service was spot on, super friendly and quick, and the atmosphere was really warm and welcoming. It's one of those pubs where you can just relax and enjoy a proper hearty meal. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

Very busy, but fitted us in for table for 4 straight away. Frank very friendly and helpful. Food came out bit earlier before the others could get carvery, but not an issue, were very apologetic about it. Food was fresh and good quality. Reasonable priced. Had a great time. Highly recommended. Will be back soon

Piss in Boots is always an amazing place! Food is always top notch, staff are absolutely amazing, so friendly and helpful and if you're just going for a drink, the beer is spot on and the selection of wines and spirits is second to none! Not my local by distance, but will always be a local to venture to!

Nice pub great atmosphere and the food was good, The down side is they automatically add a service charge on your bill which in my opinion isn't good, I would rather tip the people that serve me and serve me well, just my opinion having worked in the service industry for many years!
