The best restaurants in North West

Went to boot room as part of hospitality package.set 3 course menu was awful,when it did arrive it was smaller than a child’s portion. Soup starter was cold, main meal was pathetic and sweet was tiny.we had to sit at a table with another family,they were nice but it wasn’t what we expected.you have to pay for any drinks, even water.All this was £400 each,£1200!!!!! in total(match ticket was included).In my opinion this was an absolute rip off and will never ever do this again.WHAT A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY.

Abysmal experience at Baldry's yesterday. We live in Cumbria and have taken friends there in the past as the food and staff have been good. Yesterday, as is sometimes the case, there was a queue and people were waiting for seats to become available. A member of staff frequently appeared at the door but failed to communicate to anyone in the queue that the restaurant was closing early. After some 20 minutes of queuing she eventually spoke up, having wasted the time of my group plus people queuing ahead of us and behind us. This prompted an uncharacteristic exchange from me but without any acknowledgement from the staff member that through her thoughtlessness and utter incompetence, she had wasted what probably amounted to over an hour of people's time. To potential customers...be aware of the utter lack of respect and customer service you may encounter at this place. To the owners of this establishment...you are ultimately responsible for how your staff treat customers and if you place customer engagement anywhere near business profitability will ensure this is addressed to prevent future potential customers having their time wasted through the sheer incompetence of the staff you employ.

Called in for drinks on Saturday night, sign outside for live music but went in ordered drinks looked more like a sports bar with TV on every wall showing sports, asked the bartender about music who replied they don’t show up! No atmosphere, no service and definitely no welcome! Go to McDonalds, Boyds or the Harbour Bar much more welcoming for tourists.

Went here for a drink after a gig. Entered the bar with no issues then the bar staff refused to serve us. Asked for an explanation as we were both in our 30 so not underage and not drunk He said the bouncer didn't like the look of us. No further explanation given. Found the staff very rude, no explanation given. Wouldn't go back. Really ruined our night considering we don't go out much having young children so we're excited to visit venue and we're turned away for unjust reasons.

I don't normally complete reviews but The Waterside in Littleborough simply deserves the recommendation. Had a fantastic night this week- really really good food, great ambience, attentive staff (one of our group has to avoid onions and often this gets missed by other venues but not here). We all had different dishes and each one was perfect. Great vegetarians options for my partner. Even a Vegan menu to choose from- you don't often see that- check it out on their website if you want. One of our group had fillet steak and said it was excellent. A big thank you.

Made a reservation online only to find the restaurant closed, very poor that no one from the yukti tried to contact us. Always enjoyed coming to this restaurant, notice outside saying closed for renovation , also their restaurant in city centre is also closed. Still it's only decency to pick up a phone and let customers know what's going on.

So sad to be leaving a negative review but quite disappointed with the experience. The ‘special’ biryani tasted off by a day or two and the lasagna seemed to be cooked from frozen! Overpriced and overrated.

Relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, attentive and friendly service, excellent food freshly prepared and full of flavour. Great decor, plenty of space around the tables ! Thoughtful layout so you don’t have to listen to other people’s conversations….

We visited yesterday evening after a day hiking up Helvellyn and we was in need of a pub food fix and after all the amazing reviews we thought we would give this place a try.The quality of the food was amazing we had the pigs in blankets and calamari to start and gammon steak for mains and it was cooked to perfection.The staff and Owner were lovely and we even ended up staying for alot more drinks than we should have due to how friendly the staff were and how amazing the atmosphere in the pub. (Sore heads this morning!!)Highly recommend visiting this place we would rate higher than 5* if we could!

This was our third visit to the printers. The food was fantastic, the homemade soup was delicious and the sunday roast was superb. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, the staff are lovely and friendly and the music is great. We will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone.

Doesn't get much better than here. Five stars.

From the minute we walked in we were put at ease. We were offered two different areas of the restaurant a quiet one and a slightly rounder one where there were some bottomless brunch going on . Opted for the more atmospheric side and they picked us a perfect table . The evening we were served by Matthew, Max and Alesia. I’m a pretty fussy eater, but no matter what we asked for a little tweets here and there to the menu everything was done without a fuss. The food was lovely, and I can’t wait to go back. Our first visit and it won’t be our last. The manager was lovely also . We had gammon and carbonara with a garlic tomato and cheese bread to Start . All was perfect .

We had a great evening here. The waiters were fun and looked after well. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We all enjoyed our food.

Fantastic quality food, impeccable friendly service - a must visit

Went for late lunch first timers, Loved it great value will definitely be going back .
