We started our Easter Sunday here with a breakfast of waffles, bacon and maple syrup washed down with a large latte for me and a pot of tea for my husband. Made fresh to order, we didn't want to over-do it as we were having a Sunday lunch after our walk around Bowness (and squeezing in an ice cream along the way). Good sized waffles with plenty of maple syrup to pour of both them and the bacon. A good choice for a lazy breakfast!

Lovely warm welcome. Nancy and John, the proprietors, are great people. You are guaranteed a cracking time, nice drinks, nice atmosphere.

Small takeaway but great value. I had salad and a honeycomb crunch and husband had baguette which was stuffed full. Great value for a quick lunch to eat on the way. Obviously used by the locals so worth checking out

Chose this restarant for my birthday dinner. The food was superb and we had excellent service, it was so good we went back a second night and from talking to others dining we were not the only ones to repeat a visit. I had the cheese souffle, special of fillet steak tails and the cheesecake, all of which were delicious.

Just the best curry I have had in the area I've been twice the staff and especially the manager Bibby are so polite and helpful and nice. They really can't do enjoy for you to give you exactly what you want and more. I have no hesitation in recommending anyone to try them and I went there because I was recommended to go there myself by several people I know. I wouldn't go anywhere else now is great and just up the road from me. I'm delighted they open there and it's a real treat to get a meal from there I wish I could go more often. Really try them you will not be disappointed Mal.

Stayed here for dinner, bed and breakfast after hiking up the old man of Coniston. What a charming little pub, warm and friendly service, fantastic beer and proper Moorish home-cooked food in the evening. I could’ve ordered everything off the menu. Stayed in the strawberry bank suite which was absolutely lovely and in keeping with the style of the Inn

It has a nice vibe but unfortunately the food didn’t hit the mark. Would try again! Staff are friendly. Could have just been a bad day.

Freshly made waffles, you can tell too. Nice pot of tea for one, good brew but tiny cups for my big mit's. Will return for the cakes on display.

Booked a last min table for a birthday celebration. Food was absolutely lovely and the prices were reasonable for what you got portion wise. We had two starters, a child’s meal 2 main meals and a bottle of wine and it came to £85- ignore the other reviews about being over priced ! Would deffo recommend ! 10/10 thank you

As in all of Simon Rogans Restaurants - Overall Perfection. Service - Faultless , staff trained to the highest levels , knew everything about the food down to the smallest detail. Friendly and welcoming , perfect. Food - Chef is amazing , love his cuisine (overseen by Simon rogan) and some really unusual combinations ( Celeriac , Pickled walnuts , scotch bonnets , Miso). Memorable food (which is rare these days) and exciting to eat.....top maks to chef Mark McCabe. Ambience - Romantic , stunning decor that really doesnt get any better. Prices - A great way to experience Rogans food at a very reasonable price. £95 for 10 or so courses. Drinks - Can end up bumping up the prices. My tip would be to go for "wine by the glass" rather than the wine flight as you`ll get more. Would i return ? - 100% YES. Overall - Definitely one to experience. Michelin star definitely on the way.

Exactly what pizza should be! Great options, fresh ingredients and speedy to the table. All of it was great but the dips were easily some of the best pizza dips we’ve ever had - had to take the leftovers home.

Superlative food. Eclectic and interesting decor in lounge/ bar areas. Restaurant itself over modern and over lit. Some staff didn’t seem very happy, but overall we enjoyed our evening.

We had such a pleasant surprise when eating here today. The menu was limited because the owner was away but the staff member still made us what we wanted for breakfast and so much went into it in terms of time, effort and presentation. The food was tasty, very warm and good value for money. They even brought the dog a vege sausage too.

Very very expensive and most of it was stone cold. Would not recommend as there are many more places nearby .could not comment on other meals

Really enjoyed our stay. We stayed here during a snowy weekend and it is just a nice cozy place to be. Rooms are immaculate and well furnished. The living room is a great place to spend time with its gas fireplace. Breakfast is wonderful and Rob caters to all food allergies. My wife has Celiac and requires a GF meal and there were no worries. The hosts are wonderful. Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed ourselves and will be returning.
