Base Pizza in South Lakeland

Honestly the BEST pizza we have ever had! Come to Windermere 2 weeks ago to stay at the caravan with the kids first time trying base and we loved it so we booked to come back 2 weeks after just so we could have the pizza again 🤤 UNREALLLLL

We were staying in a cottage close by and needed something to eat late evening. Walked past this place & looked really inviting. We popped in and requested take away pizza, despite closing soon they were happy to oblige and we tried a local ale whilst we were waiting. We are vegetarian so had the veg options and both were amazing (as well as the ale becoming a favourite of ours now). Staff were friendly and welcoming and we keep craving their pizza it was so good. We attempted to go whilst we were visiting in July, but were disappointed it was clised. We have the opening times now & will definitely call in again when we visit the lakes again next week. Definitely call in if you are nearby, to eat in or take out, you won't be disappointed.

Best pizza Went with my kids who are pizza lovers and this place didn’t disappoint! Very tasty traditional Italian stone baked pizza with some great topping choices! Retuned again for takeaway at the kids request! Very friendly staff and great food

First attracted by the marmite garlic bread - it did not disappoint!! Both pizzas were brilliant. Best we’ve had in the north (experienced pizza eaters). We took some friends back, a few weeks later but gutted to find out they aren’t open on a Sunday. A must visit if you’re in the area!!!

We went on a busy Saturday night and managed to be seated within 5 minutes. We had "give me the Vs" and "Stand by your lamb." Both were amazing, the best pizzas we have ever had. The sourdough base makes them so tasty. Highly recommend

Great sourdough pizza bases and great pizza. The chefs are specilists at what they do. Alas the same can't be said for the females front of house. The one with the ponytail really should change jobs, she is as sour faced and un welcoming as can possibly be. As a local take out its fine but alas it's not a great experience.

Fantastic sourdough pizzas! Grabbed a takeaway from here last night and were really, really impressed. The sourdough base was deliciously soft and almost fluffy, and I ordered the moo'n'blue (I think it was called), which was divine. I ate every last crumb whereas I normally always leave the crusts, so that really says something. My partner had one of the day's specials which was a tuscan sausage pizza and was equally impressed. My only complaint is I paid for a Frobisher juice which they forgot to give to me when we collected the pizza. But then I also forgot to mention it so whose the idiot here?

The pizzas were excellent. We called in for a takeaway and although the restaurant was quite busy, our pizzas were ready in about 15 mins.

Looked at reviews and all seemed good so decided to try it. Asked for 2 margeritas with mushroom &ham. Nice staff didnt wait long could see pizzas been cooked nice and fresh. 12 inch more than enough cooked well and tasted great . Had a couple of drinks 2 wash it down really nice pizzas. Asked for the bill and couldnt believe they charged £9 for a few mushroom and around 3 piecesof ham per pizza. I questioned why so expensive for the mushroom &ham they said because its classed as extras. Dont mind paying a bit more for quality but dont lije been ripped off. So be very careful if you ask for extra toppings rip off.

Was recommended this pizza company by our AirBnB hosts. Decided to grab some takeaway pizza's on the way home and whilst the service was fine, on opening the box at home was very disappointed with the toppings. The N'DUJA pizza had 9 pieces of Pepperoni and i couldn't find any N'DUJA sausage!! Basically a thin cheese pizza with a few bits of Pepperoni. Very disappointed and wouldn't recommend.

This is a trendy but welcoming eatery suitable for families, couples and friends. The service was exemplary, the kitchen open and the restaurant and toilets clean. The menu boasts a great variety of pizzas including many vegan toppings. Between us we went for a Summer Lovin', Special 2, vegan garlic bread, 2 vegan based with delicious toppings including caramelized onions and artichokes. Thoroughly recommended!

We visit here every time we come to the Lake District now. Easily the best pizza we've ever had. The sourdough bases are incredible. Lovely surroundings and we've always had excellent service from friendly staff.

I was excited to try this place after seeing someone else’s takeout previously but so disappointed. Waited 40 minutes for 2 takeaway pizzas outside a less than half empty restaurant.
