The best place to eat in Ulverston, good choice of home made food at a good price, we are regular customers

So glad we found this fantastic cafe/restaurant! When looking for a nice walking route with our children I came across this reviewed highly on trip advisor so thought we’d walk up and try it! Wow, amazing views from the dining area and extremely tasty food! We only had breakfast/brunch but what did have was enjoyed by all! Friendly helpful staff too. Well worth a visit!!

Always lovely to visit the Orangery. Food and drink always great. Staff very friendly. Love to purchase a few items in their shop.

Superb Food, Drink and service. Set in a little village on the North side of Morcambe Bay The Farmers excel at quality. Plenty of choice and some really nice Real Ales. decent car park and good value .

Stop off for nostalgic visit it was cold but soon warmed up with a cheese and bacon burger with onions my friend and I ate them in the van and was blown away so beautiful nearly had another one but had to get back to Macclesfield. Thank you so much xxx

Oh wow! Visited Kitridding Farm Shop as a result of our staying in a property near Kirkby Lonsdale and wanting to taste some of the locally reared lamb. Purchased a rack of locally reared lamb. I can honestly say, as a retired chef, that this was some of the finest lamb that I have ever tasted! Absolutely outstanding flavour & texture. We also purchased a couple of lamb & mint pies & pork steaks that were equally enjoyable. Want great flavoured food? Kitridding is well worth finding.

Comida encantadora! Una muy buena opción en el menú regular, con algunos especiales de temporada muy buenos también. Teníamos la fuente de otoño, fue excelente. . . . pastel de cerdo, jamón asado, queso azul, piccallili casero, chutney, pan. . . . tan sabrosa Terminado con unas galletas de cereza y chocolate blanco, también deliciosas. También tuvimos té de hojas sueltas, de nuevo. . . excelente. El personal y el servicio es excelente. Sin duda volveremos la próxima vez que visite Kendal.

Amazing! 5 star treatment, 5 star hotel and staff... and the food is to die for! Stayed for a birthday celebration for my partner. Room was decorated as requested, and flowers and champagne were amazing. Staff were wonderful the entire weekend, can't fault them. Went above and beyond, just very welcoming and homely. Venue is historic and gorgeous, so pleased to see the history and heritage is being protected. All of this is alongside an amazing backdrop, that is Lake Windermere. Spent the weekend having fantastic 6 course food deal, breakfast and walks around the lake! Brilliant position with regards to so much to do nearby. The food at the venue is something else! Full fine dinning experience with food that is off the charts. The champagne sorbets and the beef dish are wonderful, the soup was delicious with fresh home made bread and local sourced butter! Can't get much better. If you don't like fine dinning then the bar does normal pub food too! Best of both worlds! Bar was well stocked, reasonable prices, especially for wine and whiskey - and an amazing cigar selection which was a brilliant touch!

Once you get past the dumping ground at the rear entrance into the cafe the interior is very nice. The cafe was not too busy but we had to wait quite a while for our drinks to arrive and then a further wait for our food which was ok, but nothing special.

Solía vivir en la zona y este pub está entre los mejores. Comida, cerveza inglesa, dueños maravillosos. No puedo esperar a visitarlo de nuevo algún día.

We have been visiting Kendal for a number of years and wandering around we found this wonderful cafe/coffee house , and what a wonderful place it is. Great service plenty of choice and a coffee that was one of the best we have ever had.

I have been on several occasions and have found the owner/chap (who I presume to be the owner) to be very, very surly. It is such a shame as the product (essentially coffee) is very good, but if on each occasion that you visit you seem to be treated with distain at best and a sense that he does not want you there then eventually you are going to get the message and not go back, which is now how I feel.

As a regular here for coffee/cake and breakfast, and always impressed, I took my Mum here for dinner. Wonderful service as usual, super pleasant staff, and the food was fabulous. I opted for the homemade chicken pie, which as I told the staff, was literally the best chicken pie I have ever had. 11/10. Definitely be returning for more dinners, as well as everything else. Lovely Cafe in beautiful grounds. Indoor and outdoor seating. Drinks and cakes really good at competitive prices. Friendly waiting staff.

Went here for the first time at end of November - the mill itself has some very interesting stalls, worth a visit if you like crafts. The food in the cafe was good. Very busy when we were there but service was good. However the place was really cold!! There is no heating and everyone was sat in their coats. This did detract from the experience and for that reason I won't rush back until the summer! It is nice that it's dog friendly - we did a lovely walk from here.
