Best latte I’ve ever tasted simple as that. It was a rainy cold day, and we were welcomed in with the dog in tow to a lovely warm cafe. Coffee as it should be, delicious.

A very welcome break on a walk, we were wowed with the stand out coffee and fresh and filling sandwiches which were hearty enough to not need cake also but we were walking a long way so we had the cake anyway and it was glorious. Friendly service and a truly satisfying café stop. It made a great day even better!

We ordered a cappuccino and a latte and shared a biscotti and sat in. Coffee was absolutely delicious and service very friendly. They roast it on the premises and the assistant explained how the machine worked to my husband. It was so good that I bought two bags of freshly ground coffee to take home.

We really value having this artisan coffee shop in Staveley, they take pride over their coffee from bean to drink, are very eco-aware and friendly, and sell yummy icecream, cakes and energy balls, fresh juice and home-made soup. In reply to the bitter woman Julie C who wrote a horrid review last week, I am the woman she calls a 'friend', and Mr&Mrs Duffin were in no way rude and have no problems with social distancing. Julie C had accidently jumped the queue, and when told very politely to give me and my family space to choose ice-creams she got upset and stormed out. She had obviously had a bad day, but that's really no reason to write a nasty review. Please ignore her incorrect listing and come enjoy a coffee at Mr Duffins!

The BEST coffee in Staveley!! I would recommend their coffee to everyone I know, there is no better service in the village and surrounding area's. My go to for coffee always, with out a doubt.

Very rude lady serving. No clear markings for queuing with covid then spoken to unpleasantly for being too close to another customer (friend and our kids in the same bubble). Would not recommend. They should have a clear queuing system like every other establishment in Staveley or stay closed.

Found this fabulous place whilst staying on the Windermere Camping and Caravan club site, on a walk from the site to Staveley. The best espresso I have had in a long while. If you know and enjoy good coffee I promise you will not be disappointed. If you have only ever experienced coffee from one of the many chains in the UK, here is a place to start your real coffee journey. My daughter also thought her Mocha was fab, and my son loved his latte. (All wend down a treat accompanied by great flapjack.) You can also buy beans of many a variety freshly roasted on site, which I have done and look forward to enjoying and ordering more on line. If ice-cream is your thing rather than coffee, then you should call here too. Finally I have to say how lovely and friendly the owners are, happy to have a chat and complete a great all round experience.

As small producer with outstanding artisan coffee! You must give this place a try if you are fed up with coffee chains. He roasts his own from a variety of producers sourced from around the world. Very knowledgable and great service. Does online orders as well so we will be buying our coffee on line from him in the future

I have never been here before and dropped in after a walk. I had a skinny latte and was given a choice of bean (I went for the Peruvian) and it was a gorgeous coffee. Just fantastic. I also had a slice of toasted tea loaf with butter which was also very yummy. A lot of choice of different flapjacks and traybakes, but no cakes which would have been nice. The girl who served me was very smiley, friendly and polite.I also loved that they have the coffee roasting machine behind the counter. It puts out a delicious smell and the coffee shop version of white noise. The sound of beans turning is actually quite relaxing, and you can see them turn from green to brown through a little window. They sell the beans they roast in house and say they source from reputable, ethical sources. Definitely pay Mr Duffins Coffee a visit.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Visited on a Friday afternoon, no one else in but took ages to serve the coffees. Nothing complicated only a flat white and a Latte but took far too long; won't be returning, certainly not service with a smile. Not great for Staveley.

We visited this place for coffee soon after our arrival in Staveley. It was great to find a place that roasts its own (ethically sourced) coffee beans - and they serve a pretty good flat white too.Slightly austere atmosphere perhaps - but the coffee is key.

Popped in to get a couple of coffees while exploring the high street and felt unwelcome before we'd even made it to the counter. Don't mind the lack of music, but is was so quiet (2 staff and at least 1 other customer) it was like walking into a morgue. Even if this had been the best coffee I'd ever had the surly nature of the service means we wont be going back. I feel this may be the very archetype of "a local shop for local people".

Impressive range artisan bread, pies and interesting cakes and pastries.almond meringues were of generous proportions were displayed looking very tempting. Good quality coffee was available and it was possible to eat and drink in the shop

In there on a rainy saturday morning for coffee and reading the paper. It really does have great coffee and does a very good green tea too (unlike the chains) the tea also came with a pot of extra hot water. It also sells cakes and bars of quality and exotic chocolate (my main addiction). We live just a couple of miles from it now, so we can get the papers at the post office, good bread (at More) and a really good coffee at the Coffee Place, all in Staveley, which is great.

This is confusing at first glance as it seems to have two names, the other being Mr Duffin's Coffee. When you enter all is explained, it's also a coffee roasting business which explains the other oddity it serves coffee & cakes & that's about it - no other food other than chocolate to buy & take away. However don't let this put you off, there is a friendly welcome. comfortable seating and excellent coffee & home made cakes including tiffin which you don't often see these days.

Visited here with my Dad today. Asked for a tea cake and then a scone both not on the menu anymore. I had a bagel with salmon and cream cheese paid over £8 and that was it no sides, no even a bit of salad - didn’t taste great. Dad ordered pancakes in the end 2 tiny pancakes on a dish - still hungry when we left. Not great service either. Disappointed!

Called in for a coffee and snack after our frequent walk along the bay and round back into Arnside. When this first opened I was a little wary as we are used to small intimate tea/coffee shops in Arnside. However this was our second visit and as we entered we were greeted by obviously the front of house guy “David”. Wow does this guy know how to do it Welcoming ,friendly, Northern (always a bonus). Had a lovely coffee and Hubby had a great crisp bacon bun. The vibe in this cafe/restaurant is great., modern but great service. We live quite locally and are encouraged to go in the evening now as well. In our opinion the best restaurants are always about the front of house and Crossfields has it right. Everyone in this place has a great view of our beautiful Morecambe bay.

Called here for a takeaway lunch, used them several times before. Service was disappointing to say the least. Not a please or thankyou from the ladies working in the shop - even when I pointed out they'd only charged me for 1 flat white! Previous reviews also highlight the fact that the staff are miserable, they respond but do nothing to address the concerns raised. Also, I would've thought that as u was the only customer in the shop on a very wet day would have been positive for them - obviously not! Not sure I'll return here.

Went in after I missed breakfast one morning and can't wait to go back! The staff at Mio Mondo were so nice and patient with me while I was choosing. I'm a picky eater so it was appreciated that I had time to choose, food came out piping hot and was so good! Their homemade cakes were delicious as well! 🍰
