I came here with my family for breakfast baps but I need gluten free food. As they don't offer gf baps I had to have something I didn't really want, jacket potato. Surely it wouldn't be difficult to keep some gf baps frozen for when people want them? I couldn't have the soup either because there was no gf bread. Lots of people are gf and they are all excluded here! My coffee was nice though and my family all enjoyed their baps.

Called in here while in ulverston for a few days . Seems very popular with locals , gd menu with a specials board too we just wanted a snack . I had a bacon/sausage and egg roll was very tasty and well cooked . My partner had a tuna mayo toasty with salad and coleslaw which she said was lovely . Very nice food and very reasonable.

Good old fashioned fare, pleasant environment...frequented by locals so must be good! Lovely toilets over in the Market Hall.

We ate brunch here two days running during the Dickensian Festival. The staff couldn't do more to help and didn't need asking, when one of us had to go out for an important phone call that couldn't be put off. They kept the food warm and replenished the tea pot, returning with it as soon as we set foot back inside. Highly recommend for homely food and quick, friendly service.

A really warm welcome. Good honest food and sensible prices. The scones are incredible. Come here if you want to just enjoy a warm Cumbrian welcome.

Lovely home cooked food - lots of daily specials on the board as well as the regular menu to choose from. Chips were the best we’ve had all holiday - chunky, crisp on the outside and fluffy inside, and a good amount of side salad. Lots of traditional puddings on offer with custard or ice cream, and all at very reasonable prices for the quantity and quality on offer. Highly recommend a visit there, and just wish it was nearer to home for a regular treat.

Nice, friendly cafe. Had tea and scones. The scones were delicious. The cafe is situated across from the market and is worth looking for. Some of the food that was being served looked fantastic and the portions were very good.

I visited Ulverston today and i had my lunch and it was lovely it is well worth 5 stard and Staff were very friendly from the moment i went in and meals are very reasonable prices well worth a vist i will be in again next time i come through from Barrow and thankyou for my lunch, also the cafe was nice and clean too.

First question asked, always will be, in a small Family run establishment....resounding answer!!! Game on!! Excellent cafe, very clean and very popular...can’t believe I’ve worked around the corner for 20+ years and never been 😢 Well run, very polite ‘northern’ service.... Sausage and well done bacon roll ( bun, cob, bread cake, whatever) was excellent. Freshly prepped and ready for takeaway... ‘Do you want any sauce?’ ‘Won’t need it, if the reviews are anything to go by’ .....and it didn’t. There goes my stop at the van on my way to work twice a week now... Visit Ulverston and don’t always go for the ‘big names’ in Town. Thanks Ladies 😋

Amazing full English brekkie. Had others recommended to us but couldn't find the others and so did quick Google search near to where we were for "breakfast near me" . Well so glad I did. Friendly staff. Food was quick fresh and beautiful, best hash browns. Would highly recommend. Wish I lived closer. Great tea too!

we had heard there was a nice place to eat in Greenodd and so, when we found ourselves close by, went in search of it. It does not look much from the outside (or inside) but the food makes it well worth the visit. Lovely atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Home made bread.

Popped in here with my wife for breakfast prior to visiting the Laurel and Hardy museum. Nice little cafe, quite small but very homely and welcoming. Good service, great food and very reasonably priced. Also passed the beans test which were hot. The number of places i have been where beans are lukewarm or cold are numerous.

First visit to this cafe today. Waited only a couple of minutes for our order to be taken. Prices very reasonable. £12 for two good sized breakfasts. Nice array of vintage and modern decor. Staff all very friendly. Nice to see genuine, smiling faces. Facilities very clean, not disabled friendly though as down a set of stairs. Small but good choice of food and drink options. Would definitely visit again.

Llegué hace unas semanas, solo yo y mi hija, un personal encantador, muy amable y le di a mi hija un libro para colorear mientras esperaba su sándwich.Tuve un desayuno y fue encantador.Creo que el frente de la casa ha sido decorado recientemente! ? Parece frescoYo diría que este es un lugar para ir para los lugareños, muy acogedor y cómodo que me encanta.Volveré seguro y recomiendo este lugar para una visita.Sin embargo, solo agregaré, creo que el camino hacia el baño debe ser clasificado por cualquiera que visite fuera de Ulverston, ya que es bastante impactante y puede hacer que la gente deje de regresar como clientes. (No me detendré en darte un 5 * ya que eres encantador y la comida también es encantadora)

Asaltado hoy para un brunch. Mi marido tenía un rollo de desayuno, y yo tenía un pastel de té tostado. El personal es muy agradable, la comida deliciosa, y el precio muy razonable. No fue una molestia conseguir agua para el biberón, y cuando dejó la comida, la colocó lejos de nuestro bebé.

Lovely quaint wee cafe with friendly staff and a good selection of nice everyday food. No fancy bits just good food, done well. There is a higher than normal step at the door. I found this out when i tripped and made an entrance. so be careful of that. But enjoy when youre there. Staff were very helpful.

Great local cafe, very friendly. Good proof of how well liked this place is that it's only a few doors down from Costa but it is always full! Nicer drinks, great choice of food and well priced.

Another great stop off. We went for lunch and enjoyed a great variety of food from pies and sandwiches to the fabulous breakfast bap. All food was great, prompt and polite service and it was a very busy lunch time. We couldn’t leave without a slice or two of the fabulous floorboard cake. Definitely the best !! And can walk it off along the beach.

We arrived well into the afternoon searching for a late lunch. The Old Bakehouse to the rescue!. We asked if there was any hot food still available and there was - I had cottage pie and my wife a chicken bake - both very good and very welcome. The lady who served us was very pleasant and friendly and service was quick. A good place to eat.

Oh, what a difference an hour or two makes. If you would like the experience described in my 4* review you must arrive at opening time. Later in the morning everything is microwaved. And I do mean everything, even the drip coffee. Okay no, not the toast! The early bird gets the best Full English.

Home made pies looked very nice but it was 27c when we went so we opted for salads.And were pleasantly surprised, the boss had bacon and brie and I had ham and egg, we both enjoyed them. The bacon wasn't the stuff you can see through it was THICK. We are also addicts we can't go very long without a brew and they didn't disappoint, we had three cups each from our teapot.

Vintage style décor, care and prices! Loved by the locals, this bijoux café is a charming one-woman show. Food is prepared fresh to order with good ingredients. We especially loved the herb sausage. The perfect English Breakfast of 1 egg, 1 sausage, 2 bacon, beans, toast and coffee/tea. Fresh filter coffee satisfied even the ex-barista (especially with the free refill).

Visit here quite regularly. Always great food and really friendly staff. Kids love going for breakfast here.
