The best restaurants in Halton North West

Was looking forward to a treat night so had my heart set on fish and chips! What a Waste of a tenner! Chips were refried, fish was overcooked and salty and the peas were stone cold! Service was frosty as well! Won’t be back!

The staff that cook the food smoke regularly outside the cafe front window one pegged a fag with her fingers,my stomach rolled we had to leave very unhygienic

If we could leave no stars we would. The company was poor, the alcohol made me ill and Chris’ music taste is appalling and made most of the guests cry. Pizza shapes left a lot to be desired and resembled more of a dolphin shape. I think the toppings were from Lidl’s reduced rack. The owner could take some re training on customer service especially when his guests fall over or become intoxicated from the bad dough. To be honest I will probably call environmental health after this to get this business off our streets. I look forward to receiving my refund

What a disgrace.. Staff unfriendly and cook extremely unhygienic like the rooms. Mold is dripping from the shower head... Simply disgusting...

Ordered a takeaway & it was cold. King prawns???? Just shells. The chicken dish was too tough to eat. Applaud beyond words.

Went to this chippy one Saturday night,we phoned our order in so it would be ready when we arrived,the Chinese food was ready but had to wait for chips.I asked how much it was and the Chinese lady said it was exactly £19, i said that I was being overcharged as it was about £1-50 cheaper with the prices up on the board in the chippy and in the menu, she looked a bit sheepish and just said it has gone up.when we got home only five minutes away the Chinese food was cold but the chips were fine.I can’t understand how they can put prices up without putting it on the board and in the menu,I think she was ripping me off. Avoid at all cost,we definitely won’t be going back.

Came here with friends for food and drinks and received very good service from Claire would come here again

Arrived for tea, very busy but found a table in the alcove. The standard of cleanliness was appalling, the wall was covered in food stains, marks and generally filthy. The menu offers food at inflated prices likely secondary to increased costs etc. We left and went to the Griffin in Bold and had a great meal. Such a shame that our local has taken a turn for the worse. Get the place deep cleaned and a refresh.

Excellent quality, delicious fresh ingredients and well presented…generous potion sizes and reasonably priced. Attentive and pleasant staff. Our table was booked for 6pm

Excellent place for food and drinks, been here a few times and never been disappointed, friendly staff and great service. Last night I ordered a sirloin steak and I can honestly say it was the nicest steak I've had in a long time, cooked to perfection, medium rare just as I asked, compliments to whoever the chef was on 9/11/24 👌

Overall an excellent meal. Lovely comfortable decor and pleasant friendly staff. Well recommended. The food was very tasty and unlike some Indian meals didn’t leave you feeling bloated. Good crispy Papadoms without a hint of grease came with a nice tray of lime pickle and chutney etc. Menu had chillies next to each meal so the strength was clear. I like medium hot so chose a Bengal chicken with a 3 chilli mark and Pelau rice, would recommend it if like me you enjoy a curry that has a nice spicy taste but not overpowering. But in general there was a good choice, the chef’s specials were a little more expensive but just went for something I thought I would like. My partner had papadoms with Chicken Pasander which is mild and she really enjoyed, nice Pelau rice with both meals not lumpy but well flavoured. 650 mml of Kingfisher (just over a pint) and a coke came to about £42 but if we had been able to add a bigger tip would have given them £47. In the end gave them about £45.

Due to living over the water, I had not been to the Dolphin for a few years, I ordered a sausage dinner, spring rolls & fried rice &cury, I don't think I have been left feeling so disappointed after partially eating a meal, it was disgusting. I don't know if it has been taken over, using much cheaper quality food, employing rubbish chefs or all 3 of the things. I know one thing, I will never go back while the current exstreamy useless owner has it. What a sad demise.

our local chippy. Prefer K Lees for a big order but this is decent with nice friendly staff. Good chips and curry which seems to have disappeared from a lot of chippys nowadays.
