I recently visited this witherspoon and was not satisfied by the service. I walked in and seated myself in one of the only available booth seats. This table had food on the floor the table and there was multiple dishes on the table. Whilst ordering our food, we asked for a cleanup on our table, and nobody came. Our food arrived, and all the waiter did was put our food on the table and move the dirty plates and put our food down. We asked to clean our table she picked half of the plates up and went. I went 2 days layer and they missed 4 items off our orders I asked for them, and he only gave us 2. There was also no checkback

Food passable. Very noisy being a Saturday afternoon. Not the right environment for children. Far too much swearing and noise.

The staff were great and we were there for breakfast it was as usual Wheatherspoon standard great

This is a nice little place for family and friends to meet and enjoy delicious food. We’ve never had a problem with the food here for the price you get your money worth, great place would recommend to anyone.

Had breakfast with family on 25/7/2024 it was beautifully cooked and tasted lovely. I would definitely be back for more.

Nipped in for a quick lunch, all day brunch with a coke for less than a fiver! Delicious. Staff were polite and helpfull. As good as it gets!

No problems to try before you buy. I sampled two real ales and settled for a guest one for the usual great value for money around £2.60. Small beer garden and Euros football on the TV.

This is a weatherspoons franchise which is well run, plenty of room with a small beer garden to the rear. Which is opened up into the car park during the summer.

An excellent Spoons. A great shame they turn the car park from a beer garden back into a car park. There's so much free parking in Runcorn it is a mystery why they did this. Otherwise five stars.

Went to this weatherspoons one Friday evening,on arrival it was about half full went straight to the bar for drinks and had to wait at least 10 minutes to get served so next time we decided to use the app table service and that was worse at least 15 minutes wait.

I enjoyed my visit, typical great service. The only negative thing (and no reflection on Wetherspoons) when I was in the toilets, three people didn't wash there hands after doing their business. Four years down the line, and society has forgotten hygiene.

Had some good meals there.and the drinks are cheap.

Just had a breakfast, not worth it, no sugar so waste of time having tea, and there's no coffee, when ordering they dont tell you no sugar and when you go up to get to fill your cup there's only tea bags. Don't recommend.

First thing I noticed was the service was impeccable, the girls at the bar were just super friendly and very helpful, the guy who served our food was as well. I love the ambiance, it was very family friendly and even the people who had a few to drink were nice. Their prices are as always very competetive, loved it. But when it came to the food, it was just disappointing. The fish and chips were okay but the burger that I ordered was just dry and really plain. And the worst part is the ramen that my wife ordered, it was not a ramen at all. It was not japanese inspired but rather indian soup. The ingredients were just wrong. I spat it out when I tried to try some.

Breakfast with family , 1st time I have been since Jan 2020. Good meal with good company. May 2024 nice curry lunch with 3 lovely friends , will return.

Its the 3rd time my family have been in here. Same man starng at my 6yr old daughter and seems to bring in his own food. Awful

Very disappointed with the food ordered fish and chip only to find there was no fish just batter ...thay did rectified it and replaced it but was left eating on my own as my friends had already finished by the time I got a replacement

Food ok Place is an absolute dump , table's left,not cleaned up, everyone in there has some disability,never seen do many people on walking sticks & mobility aids Used by many to write out bets and take them to the bookie's, next door,very poor

Had a lovely evening here, good food for the price. Couldn't fault the waiting staff, so friendly and helpful also a great atmosphere . Definitely our place to go locally.

Always a bonus visiting a Spoons where not only the toilets are on the ground floor but also has a quality range of beers. A great team of staff on duty here today including Jake (Young) who is passionate about the cask ales on sale which quite rightly has earned this pub an entry in the 2024 Good Beer Guide. The Unity Pale Ale was a pleasure to drink 👍🏻

Yeah, it was Ok. You never going to get haute cuisine in a Wetherspoons pub, but if you're after cheap and cheery, then this hits the spot. The staff do their best in a busy pub while the orders come in thick and fast. Occasionally you might get stuck on the tacky tables, but if you can see past that, then, yes, the food is good enough.

Used to be a nice place to meet friends and enjoy a pint, long waits at the bar for a drink, understaffed, the staff work very hard but not enough of them unfortunately, atmosphere of a crematorium

As with all JD Wetherspoon....busy 🙂 Great service from Jack, good value for money on food and drinks. Always an interesting variety of ales. Never disappointed

For a Friday night, you’d think the kitchen would know better than to refry already cooked battered fish ! Horrendously chewy, staff asked about the food, as per, complained, gave reason why, they were preaching the usual Wetherspoons rubbish about ‘all our food is freshly prepared’ etc ! Said taste it then ! They refused obviously, but still insisted i was wrong. Even after i told them i used to run a chippy, so i know about these things. Blank looks, and walked off ! Oh well

Me and my husband called on Tuesday ordered a large mixed grill and a classic steak both with jacket potatoes,both meals were very tasty ,well cooked and presented,hot plates as well,big improvement on our last visit *****

Unbeatable value and friendly service makes for a great deal.A great place to spend an hour or two.

Now I had actually given this establishment a 4 star 🌟 only last month, but I have been coming here a lot more recently for a meal @ a pint, and have enjoyed the food very much, so after careful consideration I am now changing my review to a 5 star 🌟. Now the only thing left I have to say is thank-you to all the staff here for all your excellent service, and I'll see you very soon.

Great pub in the old town. Bit of a hidden gem. Food was good, atmosphere excellent and prices great. Already planning another visit. Go there if you can.

What can I say, Sunday 7th Jan, man and women arguing, his outburst was provoked by her going on and on and on, he was removed but she was left to enjoy her drink. It was her disturbing everyone's Sunday evening, not him till he left and had his say!!!!!

Reluctantly went in for a pint, for a friend's birthday. Stood at the obviously overwhelmed bar waiting to get served for a good 10+ minutes. Kids all over the place on a Saturday night, as in actual toddlers and babies, loose, about the place.

I visited Witherspoon's ferryboat for dinner at 6 pm on a Monday, hoping to grab a quick bite before a show at the Brindley. The service was slow, even though the place wasn't packed. We ordered through the app, but our food took 20 minutes to come out, and we had to wait even longer for our drinks. They didn't have enough ketchup and mayo on the tables, so we had to borrow some from other folks. The food was alright - about what you'd expect from fast food, but it wasn't served up fast. Plus, my chair was on the fritz - it wobbled all over the place. If you're in a hurry or looking for something special, this might not be the spot.

Came here with my boyfriend was visiting him and he took me here. The locals and staff whom he knows were really friendly chatty and the service was amazing. The food was beautiful and tasty and the cocktails are immense.Been a few times always superb service and so welcoming

Popped in for breakfast and it was just as you’d expect. Good value, average quality, can’t complain at the price.

Nice friendly pub, really handy for the Brindley theatre

Love this pub also the realy nice fish and bowl of salad, with a glass of red wine. However!!!! On Sunday 22/10/23 lunchtime, the pub was packed but only 2 staff behind the long bar, I saw disappointed & frustrated potential customers walk out and I joined them.

Some very unsavoury characters at this weatherspoons every time I've visited. The beer selection is great & the food is about average for weatherspoons as is with the chain in general.

Well where shall i start, the toast was just bread, the egg, even the rats wondering around the bins out the back wouldnt touch, the bacon looked like it was from last weeks leftovers, and the beans were as cold as my drink. If you are sat at home thinking about treating yourselves to a nice breaky. Dont. Get the mrs in the kitchen instead

Great, 1st timer. Mid week & late afternoon visit. Food.. (large fish, chips n peas) was well cooked, presented & really tasty. Fish was nice n white & def large, crispy batter. Great chips wanted more when they arrived, but ha! was being greedy. All 'crew' looking after us in the pub were spot on, 5*. Service was restaurant quality. Good family atmosphere, busy, but that's good. Car park you pay & refund at bar. Toilets, very clean. Enjoy, guys. We did.

Visited here on Tuesday 26.09.23 at 6pm as we were going to a Prince tribute in the theatre facing. Pub was busy but had ample seating. We both ordered meals and a dessert to share. I was impressed with the food as I wasn't expecting much, nice pub too that seemed clean, toilets also clean on use, I would visit again. Barman was also friendly.

Great place to visit they have lovely meals. Great atmosphere very welcoming. Great staff and service. Price is just right. Nice to meet up with family and friends.

As I local I come here often and has a good selection of drinks that isn’t just lager. Bar staff have a special skill where they are always able to pick out the last person who came to the bar and serve them before everyone else

Me and my husband called in last night,for drinks while waiting for our Indian takeaway,we had San Miguel lager and Aperol Spritz,I don't know why the Aperol Spritz can't be consistent as each time we go it tastes different, depending on who serves you,the pub wasn't busy but staff still serve there friends first .

Been twice recently. Breakfast is very good and great value. The food has improved greatly since I ate there over a year ago.

All spoons are nice, me and my partner come here all the time. The food is always nice, the service is 50-50 being honest but we find ways to entertain ourselves. The atmosphere differs depending on time during the day its usually quite nice, towards the end it's loud and uncomfortable sometimes the drunker people get it. Definitely worth a visit if you don't like uncomfortable drunk situations don't go past 8 is my advice.

Overpriced and food was substandard. I ordered pasta online and came with a choice of drink. I already had one but still had to pay the extra. Food was tiny and lacked any real flavour.

We went for a late breakfast. My black pudding was rock hard and broke into pieces when I tried to cut it so I had to have it replaced. By the time it came, I had eaten the rest of my breakfast. Apart from that, we enjoyed our breakfasts and coffees.

They do seem to have a big turnover of bar tenders and sometimes it takes ages to be served because the bar is very long and staff get confused at who is next?

Discusted. The staff just totally ignored me and served people they knew .I was patient and waited and still not ignored apart from one male member of staff who pointed me out and then she just served someone else

The best part of the visit was leaving. The scrambled eggs were rubbery and under-seasoned if at all, the toasted bread had been 'shown' the toaster, and the fried eggs were crispy on the bottom and the frozen hash browns were missing from one breakfast. The tables were sticky from leftover 'cleaning products', I don't know why I keep them giving Wetherspoons a 2nd chance. Friends tell me they had enjoyed going a few years ago, but now? Well hold your nose you're going down the pan, I'm getting converts coming from the dark side. No photos, I don't post images of awful food.

Lovely pub. Great atmosphere. Staff were lovely and really helpful. The lady with the green hair (didn’t get her name) is brilliant. Always smiling and couldn’t do enough for us all. Will definitely be coming back!

Really surprised at our recent visit to spoons in Runcorn. Went 3-4 months ago and was very disappointed but today everything was on form easy and quick to order drinks at the bar found a table which was clean very easily ordered food which came within 15-20 mins pipping hot served with a lovely smile which always makes a difference 😊 there seemed to be a fantastic little duo going on with Emma and the manager I think ? Wizzing round the pub the whole 2-3 hours we were there constantly cleaning and serving food absolutely brilliant customer service even while they were busy nothing was too much of a problem brilliant in my eyes 5 star. Last time we visited the food was luke warm staff seemed disheartened and stressed but today was totally different not sure if it’s new management or staff or what but 100% improvement and big well done felt very welcomed and happy to eat and drink there thank u 😊

Called in to Wetherspoons for breakfast on Monday Morning having missed the breakfast slot at the Premier Inn we were staying at. Always enjoyed a Wetherspoons Breakfast at multiple other establishments. This was a real shocker The fried egg and beans were stone cold not the slightest vestige of warmth. The other items were not far off stone cold either. No idea what is going on as the place was hardly busy.

It's ok when you're just hungry and don't mind, cheap and ok. Never seems clean, glasses everywhere and people vaping inside. Foods ok, nothing to shout about, but not awful either.

Typical Wethers, nothing special, you get what you pay for. Food is ok and cheap. Huge choice of drinks again fairly priced but wished they stopped serving pints in those girly stemmed glasses. Some staff are very nice and welcoming others are not and need to realise that customers deserve a smile at the bar at the very least.

We love wethers you can't beat it for quality, although we did have to wait twenty minutes for our drinks, but they're normally a lot quicker than this.

Staff moral seems to have taken a massive step up of late! I am lead to believe there is new management in place and it really shows.
