Went to this chippy one Saturday night,we phoned our order in so it would be ready when we arrived,the Chinese food was ready but had to wait for chips.I asked how much it was and the Chinese lady said it was exactly £19, i said that I was being overcharged as it was about £1-50 cheaper with the prices up on the board in the chippy and in the menu, she looked a bit sheepish and just said it has gone up.when we got home only five minutes away the Chinese food was cold but the chips were fine.I can’t understand how they can put prices up without putting it on the board and in the menu,I think she was ripping me off. Avoid at all cost,we definitely won’t be going back.

Another superb meal from May Flower Consistency is a skill, and they proved they have the skill of good food, once again. Food was on time, fresh and tasted delicious. Couldn’t recommend this place any higher... Spot on.

Being using Mayflower for years, always great food with friendly service, reasonable price and good portion sizes. I would recommend and will definitely be returning.

Well put my order in said it be 40 mins and 15 mins knock on door food out of this world see you next week thanks same again salt and pepper ribs chips soup anyone looking for something to have boiled rice with happy family loads off meat and vegetables. Cheap and fast getting food out

Order salt an pepper chips which we got delivered was not salt an pepper chips food is bland no taste to it the fried rice turned up as boiled rice supose to be fried rice what hi again was not don’t waste your money there .17 pounds for boiled rice 2 none salt an pepper chips and one tiny chicken breast an two gravy which was disgusting unfortunately

We had a takeaway food was lovely . Reasonable price and good portion sizes. Only shame was it took an hour to be delivered but worth the wait. We will be back for more.

I called in to order food and waited while it was cooked. The place was freezing, the staff all had fleeces on and there was obviously no heating. The special fried rice wasn't special in any way. No chicken, char Sui or fried egg on top, just three big prawns (which I don't like). The rice was over cooked and it lacked flavour. Never again.

Love the Mayflower cater to my needs as I'm allergic to nuts and they advise me with everything and tbh most of the meals are fine not like other chippies that won't even serve me chips as they don't know if the oil contains peanuts. Salt and pepper meals are great with the noodles my fave meal

I visited the Mayflower and ordered Satay Chicken on sticks and I have to say it was the nicest Chicken Satay I've ever eaten, lovely flavours and cooked to perfection , and the pinapples in the sauce were delicious and juicy, an extra bonus! Very friendly staff, family run business. I would recommend, and I will definitely be returning! Thank you, my compliments to the chef!

2 years ago and I'd given this place 5 stars. Recently ordered a meal and half of it had been severely overcooked to a point which made it inedible and as a result was swiftly put in the bin. I then complained via Just-Eat and the Mayflower refused to acknowledge they had sent out a substandard meal. You have been warned.... Just look at the other recent reviews.

Never again! Singapore noodles, salt and paper chips (not salty) curry sauce. Such a disappointment. So much salt I couldn't eat it. Total waste of money and will never order from them again. Used to be a lovely treat once in a while.

Gone downhill since change of ownership. Now featured on Just Eat and sometimes can't cope with volume. Deliveries sometime late or wrong. Last delivery went straight to bin. Awful.

The most disgusting food I've ever had delivered, so disappointing considering we order all the time BUT turns out the Mayflower now has new owners. Food was cold, well what wasn't missing from the order. Chips rock solid, dried out burnt rice, and lemon chicken that looked like it had been dipped in wallpaper paste. Rang up and they couldn't care less, just keep saying we have a new chief and they get nothing but compliments, they didn't even bother to offer to send out the food missing from the order so I just decided to ask for a refund, they said I will need to speak to just eat. After speaking to just eat they advised the mayflower were refusing to refund, so I called back and they said it's because we didn't return the food, I said they never mentioned this and now the food is in the bin, and what about the food they didn't deliver, to which they replied there was nothing missing from the order. Too annoyed I just gave up with them, not even an apology. Not a place I will ever order from again!!!!!!!!!

The food is nice from here,I now ordered over the phone, but i always collect, as you can wait hours for delivery.the lady who takes the order has an attitude,and its sometimes feels like she don't even want your custom.The food is made to order so you can't just run in and grab a quick chips and saus,you have to wait for it to be cooked, good as you no its fresh,but sometimes you just want a quick run in run out with food.

Decent little takeaway. It was absolutely dead when I went in, which is never a good sign, but I wasn't disappointed. The Sui Mai is delicious!

After finding bone in our meals, I call the takeaway to complain. And they do absolutely nothing. It's disgusting. Luckily it was an adult that found it not a child. God knows what could have happened

Its a takeaway so what more do you want. Good choice of food and they actually listen to what you want, which is nice these days.

Fast friendly service asked for ribs with no batter and they were very tasty. Crispy duck lovely. Arrived at my door 30mins from ordering which was really good for a Saturday night at peak time!!!

Last night we ordered 2 curries with some Naan breads, delivered within the hour and were still freshly hot, ample amount of meat in the curry and the Naans were so soft and fresh. A little more expensive than other chinese takeaways (only by a £ or so) however its worth it. Their Singapore Vermacheli is worth a try too!

Don't order take away very often but tonight's was very poor. Arrived late & cold, very unusual for the MayFlower but very disappointed with our meal.

Ordered at 7.30pm, food came at 9.10pm with no apology and all the food was cold.

Yet again another georgous meal. Cannot fault this place. Wouldn't order from anywhere else. Meals arrived piping hot and fresh within half hour of ordering, great portion sizes. Brilliant service.

The special fried rice wasn't as nice or good as the one you get from pauls chippy the one from pauls chippy you get a full fried egg on top aswell as 2 big pieces of chicken and 2 big pieces of char sui and a lot more fried rice

Absolutely terrible! Over 25pound spent here ... Food arrived within a decent time, however, food was COLD! Missing food that I had paid for from my actual order. Salt and Pepper chips dry as anything! Large chips were a toddlers' portion! Appauled! What a waste of money!

Food amazing!! But after waiting 2 hours for my delivery and having half a portion of salt and pepper chicken I was beyond furious.

Not good value for money £14.80 for fried rice which wasn't very special. And rips just not presented right and no flavour, £14.80 for two items rip off. Also I order extra drinks and payed for that at the door and the guy just walked away, as if I already had been given the drink. Not until he was about to pull away in the car I shouted do you have the drinks oh yes he forgot he said in a matter of 5secs not good at all. Will be ordering from my usual and sticking to what I know what a waste of a Friday night.

I normally pick up my order and food is always lovely but I got it delivered tonight took just over an hour on a Wednesday u wouldn't expect that, and I had to rewarm it as it was freezing and also ordered a large bag chips and received a very small bag. Very disappointed tonight as I really like the food from here. Also you have to pay £2 to get it delivered so expected better service

Think the barrel was scrapped on this order. No meat or veg in soup or salt and pepper ribs. Also seemed to taste a bit old

Ordered from here was told it would be an hour wait which we didn't mind but half an hour after estimated time we tried to call through to them for them to then take the phone off the hook as we could hear back ground noises once we tried again to call back we couldn't get through terrible and rude service we then went the shop and they said our order was rejected then they said it was at our front door then we asked someone at our house has it been delivered for them to say no then they said it should be there soon, terrible terrible service

I ordered from here as a treat.The food was absolutely disgusting, cold on arrival.I reported this to Mayflower and the very rude person answering the phone told me to buy elsewhere......charming.I would never order from here again and certainly wouldnt recommend to anyone else

says have to order over £13 to have prawn crackers. So I added something extra to have with my soup which made the total £15. When delivered... No prawn crackers. I then rang and asked why to be told that it's because £2 is delivery and 0.50 is card charge. For soup not to come with crackers anyway is a disgrace and for them to be so stingy as to not send prawn crackers for the sake of 0.50 when I spent a total of £15 anyway. Nice food but, soup ruined without crackers. Spoke to very rude on the phone as well. Will not be ordering from here again for that simple reason.

Absolutely VILE. We ordered duck in orange sauce and honey chilli chicken, both with plain rice. For a start, the rice was under cooked and almost cold, the two mains we couldn't tell which was which. What we assumed to be the duck looked extremely unappetizing so ended up straight in the bin, the chicken tasted like they had just pulled the skin from the chicken with whatever bits of meat came with it, also disgusting. Everything in the bin after less than 3 mouthfuls. So disappointing as we were looking forward to trying here!

Food was ok. Delivery time not too bad but missing 2 cans of Coke! Rang up spoke to female to ask for them. She said there really busy an aged speak to the delivery driver. Still no cans of Coke an hour later. She was rude an put the phone down on me very quick before I was finished she was "that busy". I Will not use this place again just down to customer service.

Just ordered £32.00s worth of food and it was disgusting. Chicken breast over cooked and very dry, chips were almost black and cold,curry was tasteless, beef fried rice was poor,beef over cooked,chewy and dry,chicken and sweetcorn soup not mixed properly very gloopy,salt and pepper chicken pieces over cooked just a sample of the very poor quality of food we have just had. ordered aromatic crispy duck. It was awful. Over cooked and very dry. Would not shred. Gave it the dog. No sweet and sour sauce with siu mai. £14.90 for dogs dinner. Not impressed.

Order was on time, food was outstanding, would definitely recommend. Best we've had in a long time!
