The best restaurants in Eden North West

Lovely food and craft ale. The service was exceptional as we were last minute and hadn’t booked. We including our border collie were made very welcome, we thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

We were in the Lakes for a few days and heard this restaurant was amazing so booked a table for 6pm on a Sunday, the only date we could do due to being in the lakes a short period of time. The restaurant texted me 3 hours before our booking to say they were closing early and we either needed to reschedule or cancel. We were so disappointed that it took them so long to contact us about this. Lack of communication caused unhappy customers, due to this lack of service and first impressions not being the best we will not be making a booking again.

We thoroughly enjoyed the location of the hotel it is indeed a beautiful spot. Both the public rooms and our own room were very nice. A high spot for us was your staff who were all friendly, helpful and professional. They are a credit to you. Our only issues are with regard to the food which I have commented on below.

Tuve el plato más patético que he comido en mucho tiempo; Este era un huevo de gallina con espárragos. Básicamente, un huevo duro ligeramente cubierto de masa sin condimento alguno. Las 3 lanzas de espárragos estaban frías, igual que el plato. Para la comida principal tuve una lubina frita con lo que parecía un puerro pequeño de algún tipo. Los puerros se sonrojaron ligeramente en agua caliente, por lo tanto, eran duros, pero para colmo, no se lavaron y tuvieron que soportar la molienda más terrible del suelo. Cuando planteé esto con el personal, no hubo disculpas aparte de 'le haré saber al chef'. Antes de esto, tuvimos que esperar lo que parecían años para que alguien recibiera nuestras bebidas. En cualquier lugar donde el personal vino a tomar nuestros pedidos de comida, teníamos que preguntar si podíamos tener pedidos de bebidas primero. Esto fue seguido por otra larga espera. Los cubiertos también estaban sucios y también había una falta de ambiente. Notamos que en línea dice que este restaurante tiene 2 estrellas AA Rossette, pero en el restaurante hay un plato en la pared que muestra que ha sido galardonado con 1 AA Rossette. Le pediría cortés y asertivamente que se revisen los criterios de adjudicación (Rossette) o tal vez ya no sea adecuado para su propósito porque este lugar es una broma, por decir lo menos.

Amazing food. Prices are a bit high but quality of food is excellent

I specially go here for the miso mushrooms on sour dough toast. They are my absolute favourite.

Really nice café with friendly staff.

Do not eat at this place. Absolutely diabolical. Waited 45 minutes for tasteless mushrooms that were still frozen. Had they told us that our 8pm booking will not be served until gone 9pm we would have gone elsewhere. Accommodation ok

40 pound for a bottle of wine that retails at 9.99.. wouldn't except card only cash ???

Great local curry house in Penrith .Staff and management all very friendly and attentive. Good curry selection at reasonable price.

Found this place by accident and really glad we did. Really well run joint, the staff are super and made us feel very comfortable, nothing was too much. The food was first rate, it came out hot and fast despite it being busy. This spot is gonna be a regular for us now.

Family meal out. Friendly welcome and service. Staff are attentive and the food is lovely. Will go again in the future.
