Great food best kebab I have ever had

Disappointing. Nice, friendly staff, but 3 out of 4 dishes ordered all had stuff missing that we’d paid for. Check your bag before leaving, because the guys behind the counter don’t!!

Accepted my order on food hub within my postcode, charged me for the food and the service charge. They then rang me and told me I would have to pay £20 for delivery, for a wrap which was going to cost £9.50. Then cancelled my order and I lost the service charge. Do not recommend

I worry that these guys are going down the same route of the other well known kebab shop in Penrith by raising prices by alot but quality going down. Also missing things off orders then not fetching the right amount plus taking ages to deliver. It shows a lack of respect towards loyal customers. We will definitely think twice before ordering again anytime soon.

If you want a decent burger this is a question mark to say the least……not the best at all… I saw mice eating better… taking about customers behind there backs in there own language… then have the audacity to say we are rude!! Evolving is what we should be doing… next step

Staff always friendly when I’ve visited. Ordered a takeaway tonight. Slight misunderstanding with delivery cost due to it not being updated on foodhub but delivery guy let it go and was fine. Food really good as always. Best kebab shop in Penrith IMO.

To my surprise it was one of the better Mediterranean restaurants I've eaten at. The chicken shish wasn't bad not a lot of flavor but more importantly it wasn't precooked and reheated and dried out like most every other place I've ever had it and tried it. It was made fresh as well as the kaverma was great would definitely order that again. Not dried out sort of a dude beef dish with tomatoes and peppers and onions and just a lot of flavor. Don't go anywhere else about this place because if I like it then everybody else is going to love it

Excellent chicken double burger and the salad was lovely and fresh. Highly recommend. The new shop seems to work very well.

Ordered a large chicken Shish with chips and only received 7 pieces of chicken when there are 5 on a small skewer. Don’t fall for the trick I received I will never be a customer again

The worst doner kebab I have ever had. The meat was dry and overcooked. I shouldn't have been surprised as the cook was putting some meat in the bin as he was preparing my kebab. Salad to go with it was pre- prepared and clearly been hanging around some time. The cook was right - the bin wax the best place for it. I will not be going back.

One visit here. I was a little bit worried when I saw the price of a Medium Donner Kebab at £6.80. However, I must admit the portion size was good. The quality was good too. Even though they were good, one thing I want to point out in particular was the service. Things seemed relaxed with friendly while I was sat there eating. That... is how you win customers and things should not only be kept up but places should model themselves like this.

Can only say third visit! And by far still the best chicken burger…. May of forgot my garlic dip but it’s forgiven, clean and very professional service , the food brilliant have used delivery also and quality wasn’t compromised. Can’t fault! X

On my lamb kebab, the garlic sauce didn’t come or the 3 salad items I had ordered on the large lamb kebab. It arrived unmade in a box with a small pitta for a large kebab. Sons chicken burger was actually a tomato sauce burger with a chicken burger present. However even after scraping as much of the excess sauce out. The burger was unable to stay in the bun due to oiling effect of excess tomato sauce. All pretty basic stuff. Won’t be using again.

I've used mykebab regularly since the first covid lockdown and haven't had one bad meal until tonight. My chips arrived at 19:13 and was told my pizza was with another driver who turned up at 19:25. Sadly everything was cold so I got in touch to try and sort it. "You've just got it! It can't be cold!" Spoke to Foodhub who contacted the kitchen and was told "they've refused and refund or replacement"... Thanks guys

Ordered simple stuff, kebab with salad etc, but on reaching home, found that it was not fresh, inedible. I complained by phone but they were unhelpful and in denial. A disgrace!

Just Had Donner Kebab and the Wife had Kofte & Donner Chicken kebab. We are staying at Ulswater Heights site and they Delivered to us. The Kebab was so delicious. I have been looking for that taste for years and I finally found it. I will be returning most definitely.

Ordered pizzas , mixed kebabs and burgers , we got none of those , what we got was lots of boxes of chips and some really dodgy looking chicken , totally ripped us off....what we got was absolutely disgusting.....

First order: Rapid delivery at 6pm on a Saturday, dead friendly delivery. Food was hot, chicken and lamb super tender, chips were great, still crispy and hot. Saw someone say the chilli sauce was bangin' and it is. Decent portion sizes too. Only change, would have liked more salad, but that's no biggie 10/10 would and will order again.

Overall great take away, staff chatting and friendly and service was fast and food hot and yum yum

Not from penrith, but visiting for the weekend , noticed this place had semi decent reviews so gave it a try.. had the burger meal , mrs had the chicken burger meal and a garlic bread with cheese.. all spot on and fresh and good value for money will return when next here. Thanks

Ordered online, never got because they rang me 30 minutes later trying to make me pay extra for delivery that I already paid for. Extremely rude on the phone. Update your website and delivery costs!

What a takeaway! Always consistant. The chicken doner wrap, chicken wings, garlic bread with cheese and the chicken burgers were absolutly fantastic. We all enjoyed the food. I can’t fault this place!

Good pizza from My Kebab. Ordered for collection and was ready and hot when we collected. They are cash only. We got the veg pizza which was pretty good but had a little too much cheese. There was a good amount of veg. Overall pretty decent

Not worth the money £30 for some meat all tasted the same salad and a garlic bread should have been chips but none in when opened bag. Staff talking instead of taking orders.overall very disappointing won't be using again

Really very good. We had just walked catbells walk the lights and was a bit hungry. Called in here on the way back to Clitheroe and have to say it was really very good. Friendly staff aswell. Recommended. 👍

Poor quality bad timings chips were cold pizza was Luke warm at best! Not impressed tonight being busy is not an excuse. Your drivers need trained as to where there going shocking service!

Didn't realise I was going to Ikea kebabs, instead of a downer kebab with meat salad chilli's and sauce in a pitta bread I got a flat pack build your own. Meat in one container, salad in another, a pot of sauce and chilli's in another. The pitta wasn't even cut for me. Not only inconvenient but a complete waste of far too much packaging, needed one polystyrene container instead I got four different boxes and wrappers. Great way to save the planet too.

Ordered on 11 October approximately 9.30 at night, 2 medium doners to be delivered. Have ordered from these before and has been good, but this time meat was overcooked and so dry, and hard. Unable to eat. Possibly because this was late evening I’m not sure but was so disappointed, have to say there was plenty of meat for a medium size though, shame we couldn’t eat it. Total waste of money.

Kebab meat came in the box, pita wasn't in the box but shoved in the carrier bag. salad & sauce seperate so you assemble the kebab yourself. Asked for garlic Mayo got regular Mayo, asked for mild chilli on one kebab got hot chilli with both. Cash only. Pizza was nice, staff were friendly.

Absolutely delicious would definitely recommend, chicken shish kebab. I never have takeaway but would definitely return. Just remember cash only or order on the app

To be fair the food was good but the service was shocking I ordered it at 1810 for 1950 only to call at 2000 and be told it was running late then when they eventually delivered my food they had forgot a meal.

Changing my review back to 5 stars. Shout out goes to Nicole who delivered our food, she rang us to let us know our food was at the door and was really friendly. Thanks lass! Definitely a step up from our last experience with a different delivery driver which was awful!

Always use this takeaway but never again, 1 hour 45mins to deliver 2 cold pizzas, 2 portions of soggy Chips that have been sat in takeaway trays too long the only thing warm was the 2 cans of coke!!!

The freshest (chicken breast and lamb on skewers), tastiest kebab I've ever had. Fresh salad, including lettuce, cabbage, onion, tomato - everything a kebab salad should contain! The staff were very friendly and gave us plenty of extra sauce and even a 1.5 ltr bottle of pop! We will definitely be returning- great value for money

Away on business. Didn't want the hun drum of a restaurant so went to marxies for a bottle of Malbec and went here for a Shish and kofte kebab. Wowzer all freshly cooked and tip top Clean Polite Great food Do it !!

Shocking called them to ask if they delivered to our postcode, they said yes so placed order and paid!!!!! They then cancel on you with no drivers, and keep your payment for 3-5 working days……. Absolutely shocking service Do Not Use!! As not likely to...

I cannot believe how bad this meal was Iv had a few meals from my kebab and every time it’s got worse the food is the cheapest food u can buy from a wholesalers is the scampi even scampi it’s rank the pizza was dipping...

Fresh, hot and excellent quality. On this visit had a standard bacon cheeseburger with fries and it was fantastic. Normally use the takeaway down the street, which is good, but these lads are better.

If Build A Bear was a kebab shop. How does this get so many 5 star reviews ? They don't sell kebabs, only the kebab ingredients. You then have to make your own kebab. Weird. I ordered a chicken donner and a meat donner. Friendly staff. Spotlessly clean. Great service. But sat in the car opened up the bag to find the meat in one container, the salad in the other, chilli sauce in another and a pitta bread that hadn't even been cut open. Fortunately had a penknife in the car, so had to cut open the pitta, and make my own Kebab. A messy pain the backside, to create what should be convenice food to be eaten on the go. I guess the good people of Penrith like this USP, as the shop was busy and the 5 star reviews indicate. Not for me though. I prefer the more traditional, order a kebab and get a kebab.

Build your own calzone is amazing £10.80, 15 minutes after ordering. It's a well run clean takeaway. Lots of local users and that says a lot. Lots of taste and easy to get on with staff.

Great choice, I had a large chicken shesh kebab. The menu said pitta bread but they were happy to do mine on naan. Loads of delicious meat and all the trimmings. The rest of the family had pizza and we're all v happy with theirs....

This was a last minute option when the fish & chip shop was closed, but great decision. 5 of us enjoyed pizzas ans kebabs. Great service, lovely food and great value for money. Thanks very much 😀
