Despite such a pleasant hotel and a great gentleman on reception, the people in the room directly above us were stamping around like a couple of elephants. I did complain to the receptionist, who did go and ask them to tread more quietly, but after he did this, the inconsiderate idiots in the room above started stamping louder. I will be complaining again in the morning, because for a big, professional hotel like this, it should at least have sound proofing on the floors and ceilings. Date is 15/11/24

Do not eat at this place. Absolutely diabolical. Waited 45 minutes for tasteless mushrooms that were still frozen. Had they told us that our 8pm booking will not be served until gone 9pm we would have gone elsewhere. Accommodation ok

Great location, breakfast, staff. We've stayed here a few times now and it's great. Only once we discovered a small old food stain on bedding. Also there's usually not enough towels for 3 people so we have to ask reception for more, but that seems to be true in all Premier Inn hotels. Otherwise everything is great.

Rooms pretty average given it was £137 for a Thurs night. No proper shower just over the bath and looked like water damage around the floor which needed attention. Friendly staff and great position with parking was a real plus. No option to change rooms only 2 proper showers but in accessible rooms which were already booked.

Absolutely fabulous and friendly staff make this Premier Inn a standout choice. The hotel itself is very comfortable, living up to the chain's reliable standards. Its convenient location is a big plus, with a Sainsbury's right at the doorstep for any quick needs. Breakfast was the typical Premier Inn fare—nothing fancy, but satisfying. Overall, a very good hotel experience. Highly recommended!

They had been without having the ability to provide meals 3 days prior to my booking and yet they still charged top rates, WITHOUT ME KNOWING OR THEM INFORMING ME!

On arrival, the man behind the desk asked me my name, and told me where the room was and that was it. Quickest check-in ever. After over 4 hours of travelling, it was not very welcoming. Did not ask about breakfast or food later on in the evening. Gave no information about when the restaurant opened. The main advantage was the room was clean . Breakfast was very disorganised on the 24th March . The hot breakfast wasn't ready on time, and the toasters were not working properly. There was no colour to them at all, but the manager said they were cooked and walked away. When I was eventually able to have a hot breakfast after the que went down , part of it was cold. When i told the manager, she went over to test the temperature of the freshly put out food, not the dish i had taken mine from. She came back to tell me it was fine and was really unfrendliy! This experince was a waste of money and the peperation for this breakfast was really disorganised. I would not stay here again after this terrible experince!

Had to ask for toilet paper twice after explaining the toilet paper that was there was shop bought. Asked for another duvet and felt questioned. Sent upstairs for a phantom duvet. No extra towel provided for partner. Also left jumper was not provided when returning for lost property. Clearly nabbed that!

Fantastic Premier Inn 👏 Arrived and checked in efficiently. After a long car journey with kids, we used the pool at the leisure centre to burn off some energy. It was cheap and cheerful. Followed by tasty dinner at Wetherspoons behind. We had breakfast at the hotel the staff were really on it with the food making sure it was refilled quickly. Would definitely return if travelling to Scotland again.

We went to a cabin for the weekend as a group of 4 adults and on the last night we drank and awful lot and needed a cure the morning after. We went to the local garage to grab snacks and water and saw a Cranstons Cafe and thought we would go back pack up and return. It was a Sunday and we were greeted but found it odd that we were then told our table number and just pointed in the direction of said table and given menus. We had to get extra cutlery and salt/pepper despite being plenty of other tables being served. The food we thought was a little pricey however it did not disappoint! The miso mushrooms on toast were amazing and the hash browns were nothing like I’ve ever tasted just maybe a bit too crispy which I guess is personal preference. We were never checked on and there was no announcement of a 2 minute silence and had we not have read the sign on the way in we would never had known which we assumed most diners did not. The menu also says their is a free drink with the full English but when ordering we were never guided and when we went to checkout a flat white was not part of it but any juice/soft drink was but my sister still paid for hers. All in all food was great service was subpar.

We visit Dufton at least twice a year and eat at The Stag Inn. Rachael,Matt, and the team are always welcoming. The food is always excellent, and my allergies are catered for. During the winter months, the log burners are burning in the bar area, and the restaurant has beautiful views. It is a busy pub, and booking a table is recommended to avoid disappointment.
