We’ve been here before twice for lunch but delighted to see they were open for a festive dinner midweek on run up to Christmas. What an absolute treat! The best cauli steak I’ve ever had! The melt in the middle pud was just amazing. These guys deserve a Michelin star in my humble opinion. The staff are always so accommodating and professional. Our friends had wanted to eat here for a while, so it was good to be able to bring them. Great start to the festive period!

I wish now that we had tried the food - we were a 'walk-in' and were seated quickly but after considering the menu we decided to try elsewhere - the ambience was a little lacking and the menu a little limited, especially for vegetarians. There was a table with quite loud children and as there was no background music or soft furnishings it was a bit grating. Plus we hadn't realised it was BYO for wine. At least one dish marked as vegetarian listed meat which always makes me a bit nervous. But will give it a go another day.

If there was an option for 6 stars, this pub would get it. Came here after a walk in the area and walked in to friendly staff and a warm fire. It was a weekday so not so busy we got a table straight away. You think it can't get better. It does. The pie was amazing, mash was amazing and gravy was amazing too. Such lovely food we had to get dessert and that was, as predicted, amazing. Can't wait to come back here again and try the other food on the menu, really exceptionally good pub to come.

A good madras, or vindaloo usually has a certain look, as do naan breads. I opened the food and was faced with a Vindaloo that didn't look great and a naan bread that looked flat and lifeless. Someone treated me to the meal and I thought oh no, I'll have to force this down now to not look rude. It was actually really good. The naan looked really small in the bag but was actually pretty big once I unwrapped it and had loads of flavour. The curry was lovely. It was slightly towards the hotter end of Vindaloo heat but the flavour was good and it's impossible to eat a curry that hot if it's not nice. I literally had every last drop of sauce. It was really nice. Rice was just plain basmati and was cooked spot on. The guy serving was really friendly in shop and had very good English, making the call to order very easy. Great place, would definitely use again and a fair price too.

This was my third visit - each one having been a birthday celebration for some young friends. The steaks have always been to the highest standards. The quality of the service was never less than exceptional.

Not the best visit . It felt like an opening night very strange for this normally well run busy pub . Meals were going round tables as delivered to the wrong tables . Lengthy wait for drinks . Food was ok . No one came to check if it was . Hopefully next time we will be seated in the area debs serves however after Saturdays visit we won’t be in a rush to do so.

Felt as if we shouldn’t really be there as everything was all too much trouble . If it wasn’t for the location not sure people would bother . SMILE !!!

Ordered sharing platter which had some nice samples on it but very small for the price. £9.95 for half a dozen cauliflower florets and tomato ketchup is frankly embarrassing! Ordered several plates as it’s a tapas restaurant and the sauces were all essentially the same and tasted like it came out of a jar with no depth of flavour. The idea is good but the execution was very very poor. Would not recommend or return.

The most appalling 'meal' and service that I have ever been subjected to. We ordered steak and ale pie and this was brought out to us and placed on our table and described as a pie. However, there was absolutely no pastry, just a bit of gravy in a dish. When I called the waiter back he said 'to be honest, we've ran out of pastry' - are these people for real? To add insult to injury, the manager actually tried to charge us for the pies we never received!!!! Shambolic and not for the first time, but definitely for the last. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY!!!!

Went to the cafe with my mum for some lunch, we were greeted by who I’m assuming is the manager. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. Maybe you need to tell customers before they go to the till to go and choose a table before shouting at them for not having a table number. How are you supposed to choose a table and go and order food if you are by yourself? I wouldn’t want to leave my handbag for instance by a table to reserve it whilst I go up to order. Food was nice, other members of staff were friendly but she really let down the experience. I highly doubt we will return if she is still in charge.

We had a lovely stay. Our room was nicely decorated and the bed was one of the comfiest we have ever stayed in! The food was delicious with a great choice on the menu. We stayed on valentines night and also celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary, we got married here. Thank you for great stay and bring back memories.

This pub was always excellent, but it is now operating a car park scam with insignificant signage in operation; in addition no warnings are given from the staff when you enter the pub that you need to register if you are in the car park. There is also no clear signage as you enter the car park itself, although staff claim there are posters on the wall! I have now received a £100 fine for a 35 minutes stay for two points of Guinness! I rang the pub to complain and the manager, Liam, was rude, arrogant and unapologetic … I pointed out that when you go to the bar they have a duty of care to ask customers if they are frequenting the car park, but he just dismissed this, and stated vaguely that there are posters around the place!!! What an absolute scam! I see from other reviews we are not the first to be scammed in this way - so this is just a heads up - what an appalling way to treat customers!

Our first visit and it won’t be the last. Great for a Sunday lunch. Friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere.
