What an absolute treat! We went to The Clink for Afternoon Tea and weren't disappointed. The sandwiches were delicious and interesting fillings, including home made chutney. The chapel is a gorgeous setting for a restaurant. Service was fantastic & friendly by the young women training on the job. Having looked at the meals on nearby tables, we will definitely be back to try the usual lunch menu.

Had lunch with 5 friends. A warm welcome, and an excellent meal, well served by our friendly and helpful waitress Kelly. Well worth a visit.

We went for a 3 course dinner using a virgin experience voucher we were given. There were 3 options per course and all clearly labelled with allergen information. Unfortunately I was too late in taking all the photos but both starters (goat cheese, pickled beets, and candied walnut / beef Ragu ravioli) were very tasty and nicely presented. Both chicken and duck mains were very tasty and balanced. I especially enjoy the grilled chicory. Ended perfectly with chocolate tart and banana/coconut dessert. The setting was nice in an old church building. We didn't find it too cold although both of us had our jackets on (we didnt mins). Good selection of non-alcoholic drinks too. Everyone is extremely professional. I don't think if we didn't know, we would be able to tell that this restaurant is part of a training facility. I'm extremely impressed with the quality of food we had and am surprised that they were not busier than they were (couple of table booking cancelled late apparently which is a shame). I preferred my dinner here than quite a few restaurants we been to before. My partner said he preferred The Clink restaurant over Six by Nico. They're very different, but at least we were full at the end of this meal. Good job to everyone working at The Clink, and if you haven't been, you should certainly visit.

I had a really great Sunday lunch in this unique and homely setting. The chapel, full of art work, poetry and stained glass proved the perfect setting to experience fine service and food alike. We had the black garlic chicken roast and the harissa cauliflower. The flavors were incredible, and it was by far the best meal I have had for a long time. The staff were friendly, laid back yet attentive, and I'll definitely visit again. If you're unsure, or haven't been before, I'd say make a booking, you won't regret it.

I visited recently with quite a large group of ladies & we all thoroughly enjoyed a lovely afternoon, with delicious treats & excellent service. The selection on offer was very good & filling. (Nothing was left, with quite a few of us taking some of our treats home in boxes.) Toni, working the bar, kept the drinks coming, & Bekkie, Simran, Aleesha, Tina & Sharon worked very well together as a team, & kept our tea & coffee pots full & hot. It really was a treat. So much so I was temporarily disappointed to hear it will be closed from 15th July until 9th August while they have their heating upgraded. This actually turned out to be excellent news as we've eaten here in the winter, & I did have to put my coat on at one point. No more! Wonderful! I'm looking forward to returning in August for another Afternoon Tea here with family members. Keep up the excellent work ladies. What an amazing experience we had today. From walking through the doors, the staff were warm, welcoming, and courteous. My daughter bought me vouchers for The Clink Styal for my birthday. What a fantastic present! The food was so good ( thank you to everyone in the kitchen !) and the service was superb. Brilliant afternoon tea. We visited today as a group of 4, to celebrate a birthday, and chose afternoon tea. We had various dietary needs, all which were catered for. The food was delicious and the service excellent. Having seen what other tables were having, I am going back for lunch next time !

I eat out a lot and here I was treated to the very best service I received in a long time. The staff were warm, friendly and attentive. The food was not only tasty but fantastically presented. Just returned from lunch here which was very good. Had heard about the restaurant and was not disappointed. Lovely converted chapel and a warm, friendly welcome from the outset. Our server Kayleigh was excellent, we couldn’t fault her, efficient, informative with a lovely personality and an asset to the restaurant The food was excellent the ham hock and chicken terrine was very tasty. The braised lamb shoulder was extremely tender. The only slight downside was the panna cotte which was a little too firm for my liking but couldn’t fault the flavour. My husband had the soup and the sea bream for main which was equally delicious. All in all a lovely experience, would definitely return and what a worthwhile charity.

Although there is a limited menu there is sufficient choice to please anyone. Not only is the food of great quality, but the presentation would match any high end restaurant. I went with my husband and two friends and the staff made us all feel so welcome. We were looked after by Toni who was not only friendly and efficient, but also has great knowledge about the history of the building. The building itself is really interesting in that it used to be a chapel which still holds lots of characterful features, but also displays some interesting artwork. I can only give this a 5 out of 5 rating and would say that if you are looking for great quality food made and served by friendly people then this is definitely worth a visit

We hadn’t ever heard of Clink until we were given some vouchers for Christmas so we decided to visit for our wedding anniversary, oh boy I’m glad we did. In a former Chapel the restaurant is a charity involved in prisoner rehabilitation, it’s well laid out and immediately inviting. We were greeted by the friendly manager and handed to our server Tina who showed us to our table. There was a good choice on the menu and after starters (the butternut squash soup is awesome) we opted for one chicken and one belly pork main course. Food of course is very subjective so all I’ll say is in our opinion it was fantastic. Very nicely cooked and very well presented. Tina was very attentive without being intrusive and made us feel as if we were the only people actually there. After dessert and coffee we were presented with an anniversary treat from the kitchen, that made our day. The bill was very reasonable too. An optional service charge is included as tips are not allowed, and because of its location the restaurant is of course alcohol free. Thanks again to Tina and the team. Please go. Please go

I bought a Virgin Experience voucher as a gift for my husband. We went for lunch with mocktails and I had the vegan options on the menu, including a delicious fruit pie & crème anglaise for dessert! I was very impressed and there was something delightful on every plate, that really stood out for me. Lovely ambiance, lovely staff, efficient service and perfect portion sizes! The icing on the cake was being given a complimentary tea towel at the end. Thankfully it didn’t mean we were doing the washing up!

Couldn't believe how professional the staff were. From walking in seeing the chef's at work through a peephole window to the most friendly polite greeting from the staff waiting on. This was mine & my friend, Dianes first visit after our walk through Styal woods & The Carrs. Kayleigh was our designated waitress and she amazed us with her professionalism, politeness and general friendliness throughout our visit. Although we only shared a couple of starters, the food was excellent. The portions weren't very large but extremely tasty. We found we had room to share a delicious ginger sponge pudding😋 We shall definitely be returning, perhaps with the dogs, who I was assured they get their own blankets and thoroughly spoiled.

I had been before, but not for years. My friend had not been before and, like me the first time I went, she was SO impressed with the venue. It was everything I'd remembered, if not better. Super service. Amazing food. Incredibly friendly. It was a wonderful Sunday lunch. Toni was our great hostess. She was friendly and smily - just what you want in your waitress. She was super. I'll not leave it years again before I return.

We came for Mothers Day the 4 of us and it was the perfect day! The food was amazing we had the roast the gravy was incredible! The day was made extra special with a few complimentary touches mocktail on arrival, sweet treats and a book at the end it topped off such a fabulous day. Our waitress Kayleigh was exceptional! Amazing time at The Clink Styal today. We are a chronic illness group so can be a bit hard to please us all with our needs but our waitress Lyn and Elijah totally smashed it! I have to admit I was a little apprehensive about our visit but it was such an enjoyable experience. The food is great and is charged at a competitive price. The building was absolutely incredible and Lyn knew lots of facts and key dates about it. We received better service than we've received from some totally qualified staff in other places. I had a quick chat with Lyn who was happy to share with us and was so down to earth. If she reads this I truly hope that you and your daughter get the happy ending you deserve. We loved it so much that our group are already making plans to have our Christmas get together there. I'm hoping Lyn and Elijah can look after us fussy lot again! The restaurant looks even nicer in person than photos , a very unique experience dining in a converted church , very tastefully done , The staff were all smart , friendly and attentive , The place is immaculate and felt no different to a visit to any other restaurant , other than the fact there’s no alcohol but that didn’t bother me The food was restaurant quality in presentation and taste and even better than I expected I think the staff here put their love and passion into what they do and they deserve to be supported to help them on a better path in life I highly recommend a visit and I will definitely be back , it’s in a great spot to call in for lunch after a walk too 👍

Went on Sunday for the first time. Having heard amazing things, we were not disappointed. In fact it even exceeded our high expectations. Quality and presentation of food was top notch. I booked an impromptu lunch, and was treated to a wonderful meal served by Jo, who was delightful. If you are in the area and looking for excellent food, and brilliant service you would be daft not to experience this restaurant.

As we were visiting a National Trust property In Cheshire Quarry Bank we decided to book a table for Sunday lunch at HMP Styal. Just outside the prison gates it was set in an old church I believe. We were shown to our table by a lovely lady who I believe was in charge of the restaurant. Our waitress was a very nice lady called Tracy she really looked after us from start to finish. The starter was potato and leek soup followed by a lovely beef lunch. The meal was amazing. We would have loved to give her a tip as she really was a lovely lady and also great at her job but unfortunately we weren’t allowed to leave a tip. I would really recommend booking a table if you are up in the Wilmslow area. We really do hope Tracy all the best in her future.

Wow, blown away by the exquisite dishes the clink in wilmslow has to offer the food is top tier quality, each dish even the vegetables had a flavour second to none. The Thai soup starter is a must! Served by Tracy who was an absolute pleasure! I can’t put into words how our meal here today has left me feeling it’s something I won’t forget! From reading the poems etched on the glass to the remarkable chapel in which sits hope and determination of women striving to be the best of themselves and society!
