Fantastic place. Home made outstanding food and generous portions. Comfortable setting and well priced wine. My new favourite.

Meh, so slooooooow. After hearing about the hype, I was really disappointed. The menu was, in my opinion, limited. Our first choice of main was sold out, at 7:30pm, hardly late for a Saturday evening. The suggested alternative a seafood risotto took approximately 45 mins and when it came it was saltier than the Dead Sea. The waiting staff were lovely, but too few and rushed off their feet.

Lovely pub. We'd been to see a band at the Acoustic Lounge a couple of doors away but unfortunately they don't serve any decent beers, so it was a relief for us to be able enjoy a couple of pints of excellent cask ale in the Farmers Arms. A comfortable friendly atmosphere in this attractive pub.

I came in with my friend in a wheelchair and we were both promptly seated in a table that was suitable and given menus, the food is absolutely 10 out of 10 and so is the service, for anyone going that likes tomato and garlic ask for "The tomato and garlic bread and extras of both tomatoand garlic" you won't regret it and I hope to be back soon.

We stopped here for lunch before going to a hotel nearby as it looked cute and had raving reviews. It was inviting as soon as we entered and very busy! The poor waitress was rushed off her feet and kept apologising for the wait but she was very entertaining and sweet. The food was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed the homemade soup, sandwich and chips and a nice coffee. She was very attentive to all her customers whom she obviously knew as she called them by their names. It was so cosy with the roaring fire and a huge Christmas tree. We were lucky to get a table but so glad we did! We hope to return again as it was perfect!

Called in here to grab a bite to eat for 2 adults and 2 kids on Saturday afternoon, there weren't any tables available inside or we would have eaten in. Usually I'm not a fan of greggs pasties dropping bits of flaky pastry down your front so had pizza instead and it was tasty. Most greggs shops in Stockport aren't very appealing but this one was better.

After a recommendation we gave it a go. Food was lovely, really fresh ingredients, service was good and they have a 5/5 food hygiene rating. We probably won’t go anywhere else if ordering a Chinese takeaway.

Pilkingtons is just brilliant. All the girls have a big smile and a warm welcome for everyone and they never stop. The sandwiches are made to order, always fresh and packed with filling, my dad wont have anything else. The cakes and pastries look and taste fab. I hope Pilkingtons will always be around for future generations to enjoy.

Absolutely miserable experience. Food is ridiculously overpriced for the quality/taste. We ordered a garlic bread, clearly indicating it was to share yet the server didn’t mention it was smaller than the size of your hand for £7! The chicken parmigiana was, I’m fairly convinced, turkey not chicken. It was slimy, rubbery and did not taste like chicken. It was either turkey or I’m going to have a very poor time tonight. My mum’s dish arrived boiling hot at the edges but stone cold in the middle, they had it remade and it came out just as cold in the middle. Not sure what the ‘chef’ is doing, the pasta dishes are very clearly microwaved- is it so hard to use a thermometer to check it’s cooked to the right temperature? £40 for two dishes and a starter, £8 on drinks, just miserable. I don’t mind paying that price if the food actually tastes good but both dishes were watery and tasteless. *Edit to add that the server did not charge us for one of the pasta dishes which was much appreciated.*

Over 1 hr to wait for food which eventually turned up after one of our group complained about the wait. The first meals out were 75% eaten by the time the last meal appeared. Queue for drinks was to the top of the stairs. This is the second consecutive time we've seen such poor service and setup in the last 2 months. Clearly understaffed. Won't be risking going for food here again I'm afraid until there is a change of management.

Having used blue ginger for a number of years, I will not use them again. Placed order in advance, but was late. I called to query and they were rude, arrogant and hung up. Food wasn’t much better either. AVOID
