The beef curry was amazing Hubby tasted some of mine he now hooked though he prefer the chicken curry I have mine with egg fried rice he has he with chips

We have been using this takeaway for years and we as a family like a Chinese takeaway on a Friday night usually placing a sizeable order. For many years the service was spot on, however the new owners do not have the same quality control as the previous owner and as such every order since has had items missing. Which has meant that while someone drives back to get the items the rest have to wait to eat their meal. This has happened too often to put it down to "one of those things". So my advice, go elsewhere, we will be from now on.

I can't stress how good the improvements are since the new ownership. I think it's always been a good take-away but the food has improved ten-fold since Tina took over. She makes a massive effort with customer service too and it really shows. Salt and pepper chips will never be the same again! Love it here, keep up the good work!

Food was not cook at all it has made me I'll and sick I will not be going there again food bad quality

Always loved the Lucky Star but the food quality has gone down hill. They chicken was low quality and made the meal very dry. A price at also gone up so this had put me off from using this takeaway again.

Haven’t been for awhile but this takeaway was always fab.The owner is friendly and always remembers us.

The lucky star appears to be under new management. Same menu but the standard has improved 100percent and that wasn’t to say the previous owners standard wasn’t good This was our third meal from LS, the set meal. Ribs, very meaty, S an P chic, loads of veg etc YCh rice excellent Highly recommend All this at a very good price

My usual choice of Chinese was closed, so returned after a lengthy spell to the Lucky Star, It was very busy, with a steady flow of foot traffic and the phone was non stop. I was quite amused to see the lady front of house knew a lot of customers by name. Decent sized portions, free Prawn crackers if ££ spent, I'll definitely return.

I had my first takeaway here last week after a recommendation. What a recommendation it was. I just had special fried rice, one of my favourite and very simple meals. The large pieces of char siu pork and king sized prawns are a much better quality than most similar places. A very generous portion as well made for an excellent meal, and one that I will be returning to over the next few weeks of my stay.

just spent 19.60 on my takeway only to be told no free cackers. and I find out they have only one star on the food health guide what the fluff how can they open so disappoint the food was crap never agained

We fancied a rare treat from Indian so we thought we'd go for Chinese. Off we went to the Lucky Star. An assortment of dishes were bought all were good. An excellent choice of venue for a tasty meal.

Nice and friendly staff and quick service. Clear menu and food as expected. Good value for money. The Chinese take away of choice in Poynton.

Mi habitual para llevar chino se ha movido un poco demasiado lejos, así que decidí probar suerte estrellas en la parte superior de la carretera. Me alegro como su realmente un 4 estrellas! Encantadora señora detrás del mostrador y la comida estaba lista tan pronto como llegué después de ordenar por teléfono. Volveremos seguro

This is my regular take away, Shirley is always smiling and very friendly, Service is excellent.Food is great and I really wish that they would open on Mondays.Still they deserve one day off I suppose.

Definitely the best Chinese in poynton not expensive either . Lucy behind the counter is lovely too always smiling. Would recommend over any near by Chinese

He estado yendo allí durante un número de años cuando he querido comida para llevar china y la comida es siempre un alto nivel de comida para llevar. El personal es siempre amable y simpático y nos dio una piruleta a mi pareja mi sobrina cuando llegó conmigo, excelente servicio.

A+++++ comida sin problemas con la comida o el servicio amable. Incluso tienen una de mis fotos tomadas a través de la ventana del lugar; compruébalo.

I was very disappointed today when i ordered some barbecue sauce but they gave me a pot of golden syrup and said it was bbq.

Friendly greeting,either on the phone or walking in. As for the food, I've got no complaints, as it's always ready for when you arrive to collect and it's always delicious, I've been using this friendly take away for a number of years now and will continue to do so. Have a takeaway from here at least once a week as the food is fantastic , sometimes my dad can't taste the difference between this food and restaurant food ! Some of my favourites include ; chicken satay skewers , plain noodles , chicken barbecue wings and lemon chicken - very yummy - and very friendly staff

We have been using the Lucky Star for years. Great choice, good portions, quick service. Nothinv more to say than its first class. We havent found anywhere better outside the area or abroad. And Shirley is lovely! Five Star, Lucky Star.

We always choose lucky star when we have a takeaway in Poynton. Service is very friendly and they are always prompt. The food is standard Chinese takeaway stuff, my favourites are chicken cashew nuts and the egg fried rice!

Great for the occasional drop in can't be bothered to cook Chinese. The staff are always welcoming and are known to give lollipop treats to my daughter which is kind. Tasty food.

Staff were very polite and friendly when ordering over the phone and picking up the food. The food was a very good standard. We had the set meal for 2 and it was very good value for money! We would definitely be using The Lucky Star again.

Stirring some coconut milk into Chinese food does not make it Thai. Fatty meat and soggy batter made for a disgusting meal experience
