Ordered today 3 pizzas and the food was really delicious and hot. The food came in 30 minutes too and the person on the phone when ordering was really kind and understanding when we asked for the food to be deliberated earlier.

Pre ordered at 7.05 for 8.40 had to ring at 9.05 as still no food turned up at 9.35, flat cold and inedible. Always been spot on before, absolutely terrible food and service.

Ordered the Donner Calzone with chicken tikka, best one I've had👍🏻

I ordered the wrong item from Uber eats and rang to query it, the staff were so friendly and helpful and said they would send me a replacement order for the right item straight away, I received the replacement within 30 minutes, cannot recommend Clayton spice enough, highly recommend

Just picked up a Donna and chips and a tikka pizza , cheapest Donna known to man won’t even give it to the dog. Pizza greasy and tastes like tinned tomato’s what a waste on vile food

Despite living in Poynton for many years this was my first visit. My only regret is - I wish I had gone in sooner! Service was warm and friendly - Tea and cake were just great. Clean - Tidy and wonderfully welcoming. Now in retirement I look forward to this becoming my hideaway - Newspaper + Pot of Tea and a nice piece of cake - what more could a man ask for.

I had a terrible time trying to enjoy this food. I had a chicken steak burger that tasted like absolutely nothing, it was bland an dry and disgusting. Next was the cheesy chips that had mould on a few chips and the cheese was just basically just a block of cheese at the back of the chips. Lastly the cornflake tart was doughy and the cornflakes were so stale

Always on time and food is hot and fresh had mixed steak a few times always been amazing thank you clayton spice 😋

I stopped at this place as I was driving through and boy did it not disappoint. Absolutely Fantastic food really surprised me . I'll will definitely be popping back here again.

Can never doubt these guys. Foods always a 10/10. Ordered again tonight, ordered from them for the past year and half, never once had an issue, never shy (fills your wrap’s maximum) calzones are rammed. Never forgot anything of the order. Milkshakes are obviously lovely 😍delivery is not ridiculous like other places. Always will be our go to takeaway.

Don't expect anything even mediocre from these people, they will let themselves (and their paying customers) down every time one way or another. Completely given up on them. Also do not trust their good reviews, my friend had a bad experience here before me and he said that his truthful 1-star review was quickly moved down by 3 5-star ones the next day. Nobody is giving these people 5 stars truthfully. Watch the same thing happen with this review i bet.

My favourite cafe!..yummy coffee and cakes. Relaxed atmosphere. Pleasant staff. And I love the decor..Will be back soon 😃

This is a really nice coffee shop. The decor features a lot of warm reclaimed timber, which complements the mainly wood tables and chairs, what makes the furniture more interesting is that much of seating is those old style church chairs (those with the cubby slot on the back where hymn books are placed). The coffee is very good, and the menu, whilst not extensive, delivers well prepared fresh food. Personally, I prefer cakes - and they don’t disappoint on that level either. If you are in Poynton, give it a try (note, only open Weds - Sat).

I can't lie the food was nice but when we used to order the clayton special kebabs used to be massive and was worth it for the price of them. They are now more expensive but the size of them is actually ridiculous compared to when we used to get them before which fed 6 of us today when we ordered it fed 2 of us and to top it off there were no chicken pakoras will not be ordering from here again

Stopped doing curries and other foods, pizzas are revolting, had to fold my pizza to eat it, quality is naff. We had used this takeaway for a couple of years but know it is rubbish. AVOID.

Clay has become the heart of Poynton, with a relaxed and friendly vibe, yummy coffee, cakes and light bites, and a truly wonderful team. I heartily recommend it.

Do not buy pieces of what is called chicken and chips. 🤢

Always fresh, and delivery is prompt. Would recommend ordering through just eat rather than Uber eats as more options available.

Food is good but your lucky if you get the correct order

Nearly 2 hours for delivery, when we called we were told 20 minutes . Next phone call we were told its outside , it was but missing a milkshake. The delivery man said it would be delivered, I had to ring ckayton spice and the owner said it was his responsibility to do this and he would deliver it personally in 10 minutes. It arrived with seconds to go , but it had extras which are are attached. Plastic wrapper . I can appreciate being told they only had 3 drivers, what I don't appreciate is me having to call before being told this. We've always rnhotex this food but never ever again will I order. Not recommended.

Just eaten possibly the worst curry I've ever had delivered. Had a really bitter off taste. I know my currys from traditional to bir. This was actually rancid, the chicken was rock solid add that to the bitter taste. Left with a really odd aftertaste in my mouth. Chips are all soggy and clumped together. Used to love this place but the last twice has been the same. Absolutely disgusting, never again.

Went in to collect my order and said my name. Guy was smirking at me for like 10 seconds, staring directly into my eyes and saying nothing, before getting my meal. When he came back I asked, "What was that about?" and he just kept looking at me funny still smirking. I didn't trust them so I took my money back and left. Won't be returning that's for sure.

Ordered tonight when it came burger and chips were cold ordered pizza said no peppers as we can't eat them and it come on pizza what a waste of money

My delivery arrived and my curry was all over the bottom of the bag, all the rest of the order was just put on top of it.. I am a regular customer with the take away but after the way I was treated tonight I will not be returning.. the delivery driver was very rude and got nowhere with the staff…. Please be very careful when ordering… as the boss is away for 6 week…

Lovely staff, excellent range of foods, and delightful surroundings. The cherry on top is the charitable nature of the cafe, which is part of Poynton Baptist Church. I hope - and from what I've experienced, except - to see it go from strength to strength.

Took over 2 hours to get any food and once arrived it was not an accurate order because their online website did not offer the correct selections. Then when told it would rectified waited another hour for rice after being told it would be 5 to 10 minutes. Not having this again.

Not happy at all..thought id try this take away out..Ordered 2x parmesan hotshots and received a plain parmesan without any chips and salad!! When I called up Was only told I'd have to wait 25 minutes to get my chips and salad.no apology or anything (chips are not even steak chips) had to collect the remaining order myself as it was quicker then waiting for someone as if my food wasn't cold enough..salad came in a small box 4 2 ppl wasnt enough for 1 person never mind 2!..wount be using this take away again that's 4 sure

Tried out this new Cafe in the Baptist Church and ... what a great Place. Best coffee and freshly made cakes in town. Fantastic decor and a lovely friendly atmosphere. Really exciting place to relax and enjoy coffee!

Deliberately put loads of salt on my pizza, these takeaways that take orders from these workers of iniquity think that they're not gonna have to answer to God on Judgement day for participating in evil, well I can't wait for that day to come. Won't be ordering again.

Gloopy, Orange rubbish, and taxi drivers hang around in the kitchen waiting for calls. Horrible.

7 times recently got order wrong,I feel like there just sending what they want me to have,ordered chocolate cake last night and got roly poly,order whammy jammy ice cream,you get bubblegum ice cream instead,I reckon I’m probably £20 out of pocket with throwing them away as I don’t eat them?? No point in complaining they are very arrogant when you do (gangster attitudes)and tell you it’s substituted replacement? GP 4 clervaux.

I called at this establishment last week because I was working late, I asked for a three piece chicken meal... And they had no chicken. WHAT.

Ordered via online. Seekh kebab on nan and garlic bread with cheese. Kebab was cold, nan bread cold. Garlic bread arrived cold and no garlic or cheese. Phoned up to be told another would be sent within 20 mins. 50 mins later another pizza arrived no garlic taste and a severe shortage of chees. Can safely say I will not be ordering from there again. Very disappointed to say the least.

Been going hear for last 4 or 5 year and order a mixed Nan regular and it is usually really good, but tonight it was dismal, ordered a large mixed Nan and picked it up, once home and opened it up to find the Nan burnt in places and hole's and only 6 tiny little pieces of chicken tikka and not much Donner meat, much less than when I usually order the medium, not a happy chappy.

Part of the order missing and their approach was they'll put a note on system for next time. Food arrived cold and dry. Phoned to advise of this. Met by a member of staff with a rude attitude who thought all of this was none of his business. Won't be ordering again.

Waited 1hour 45 mins for delivery. Rang and cancelled and food arrived after 2 hours. Rang and chased 5 times and each time driver had apparently set off and was 2 minutes away. Complete lies

We had to wait 90 mins for the food and when it arrived it was all cold. Also last week they gave us the wrong pizza and part of the order was missing. Will not be using them again.

Ordered our food tonight 26th October We ordered 2 pizza 2 currys 1 burger 1 tikka pieces All the food was luke warm we had to reheat it all the currys were half tub the tikka pieces were stone cold and over 2 hours wait due to a mix up said we was getting a discount on an order over 25pound Didn't get one discount and foods not worth the money Not happy and 6 starving kids cheers

I am appalled by this so called restaurant i ordered 3 donner on naans and had to wait 1 hour and a half when the food finally arrived the food was so bad i have no words the salad was so less and looked unfresh the donner was cold and all of it was hard the sauces were watery absolutely disgusting am never going to order here again

Ordered my food from just eat at 18:30 ...now my kids are sat here still hungry at 20:05 waiting for their pizza ....this is ridiculous never ordering from here again! Not impressed

Absolutely poor customer service had to repeat my pizza choice about 4 time because he was too busy talking to others in the takeaway after answering the phone!! Food came cold and hard ordered two pizzas chips and drinks one pizza was suppose to be spicy chicken and you would think with the shop being called "clayton spice" it would be a little spicy it was plain no spice at all hard and cold wont order again!!

Used to be excellent but now chef has changed things have gone down hill. We got jalfreizi earlier in the week and there was hardly any sauce and what seemed like scrambled egg in. Only redeeming feature was the chapatis they were light and fluffy

Excellent service , polite and helpful staff, cooked to my required taste , my meal extra mild and my partners hotter curry flavour . Excellent value for money will definitely order from here again

DIDN'T TURN UP! Despite two phone calls! First one telling me was ten minutes away, second blaming mix up with me ordering online ( with Foodhub, it's on their menu!)

Arrogant Staff getting order wrong on two occasions and charging me twice. The staff member opposed what I had ordered....what happened to ' the customers always right. Food not good & barely warm. Shop and kitchen dirty looking and untidy and witnessed some BAD HYGIENE issues. No respect for paying customers ...AVOID!

We've had curry from here for 2 years. Always gorgeous, never had a bad one. If you want a pizza go to an Italian. Top notch Asian food

Disgusting old food. Chicken nuggets and chips were clearly old unable to feed the kids. My chicken burger tasted horrible and the wings were also old and just soaked in sauce. First and last time ordering. Waste of money and still hungry, apart from the Diet Coke everything went in the bin.

Ordered chicken chip and pizza to get free delivery but then they slap on a 50p service charge. Arrived within 45 mins, however chicken was ok and the chips didn't taste or look like they freshly fried and as for the pizza it was soo oily, tasteless and I don't know what cheap cheese they use but it was disgusting. Spent £9 on food which was a total waste. I will not be ordering again. They should learn to make proper pizza and not sloppy pizza and improve on the fried chicken.

Ordered rice and got chips. Ordered Pepsi and got Coke. Couldn't find popadoms on the menu so asked in the message if it was possible to have some but no response and no popadoms.

ordered from here previous week and really enjoyed it so we ordered again.Both times we ordered the chicken dansak along with other items totalling £20.however this week when we received the curry we treceived something completely different that very much represented a korma it was very light in colour had no spice what So ever and was incredibly sweet to the point I couldn't eat it .all of these factors is why I don't order a korma. I decided to ring the takeaway n there reply was we were wrong and because the curry contained pineapple it made It a dansak when clearly they have made a korma and added pinapple.greatly disappointed We will not be ordering from here again.

AVOID!!! They let you order food but staff don't know how to cook it!! Really let down! Asked for a lamb tikka main and it was rice with limbs of lamb!!! Asked to do again, to go collect and be told he doesn't know how to make this. And offers a refund!! Totally useless!
