Called in here to grab a bite to eat for 2 adults and 2 kids on Saturday afternoon, there weren't any tables available inside or we would have eaten in. Usually I'm not a fan of greggs pasties dropping bits of flaky pastry down your front so had pizza instead and it was tasty. Most greggs shops in Stockport aren't very appealing but this one was better.

Decided to come for lunch with daughter. Friendly welcome and clean premises but lady got my daughter's order wrong, got white bread instead of brown and added cheese to our ham sandwich. I also asked for a plastic cup for daughter but got a glass. Quite disappointing really. Plus I thought it was expensive. Need to improve service, especially as there's so much competition locally.

I like this place for a quick lunch and catch up with friends. It's friendly and healthy and not too expensive. They do lovely smoothies and great sandwiches and even have cake on offer. Decent cafe for sure.

Pleasant enough staff but tasteless coffee and over priced, bland food made this visit not worth the effort. Won't be going back again.

We went in for something to eat a we were in the area, all I can say is I'm glad we did! We sat down at a table and a member of staff came and gave us menus to order food from, the choice of food was brilliant, varied, what you want when your hungry! They left us to choose the food which was good I don't like hovering staff makes me uncomfortable. When they returned we placed an order and didn't have to wait long for the food, all I can say is omg it was well presented with more than enough on the plate to not feel hungry two minutes after eating, as we finished the member of staff returned to clear the dirty plates away and asked if we wanted anything else, we did! We had a cream tea for two. Nice big scone, warm, clotted cream and strawberry jam served in small bowls my first thought was not enough for the scone but I was wrong, perfect, just the right amount. The place is so clean and the staff are all nice, smiling, and happy to help( makes a change from some places) will definitely be returning and slowly make my way through the menu just to make sure that it is all as good as my first visit. I wish to thank the staff for making it such a nice afternoon.

In a hurry and called in on the off chance. Beautifully prepared, great taste, thoughtfully displayed and served with a big smile. Really good value and this will now be our 'go-to' cafe when we visit poynton again.

Can't believe, serving up 1 latte, 1 capuccino and 1 coffee cakes takes about 15 minutes... Good location, but next time i will choose Greggs, me thinks.

On my break at work and popped in for a fry up, I wasn't expecting Michelin star or anything, but it wasn't even close. Sausages were the Worst I've ever had, they were a really odd pink smoked salmon pink colour in the middle, despite the menu saying they were 'locally sourced' (I'm thinking Aldi) the hash brown was frozen solid in the middle, the toast arrived 5 minutes before the fry up did so it was cold, and the milk I was given was warm. The staff are really nice which is a shame, the chef needs to buck up- and soon.

I have tried this place a couple of times and been disappointed. The food is OK, and it is convenient, but the decor is a bit tired and the times I went in there was debris on the floor and the tables hadn't been cleared.

I have visited Cafe 31 many times over the past few years. The last few visits I have totally disappointed. The service has been slow, the outside tables are not cleaned. I had to ask three times for a bowl of water for my dog. The service was so slow today & I only ordered a coffee I nearly left to go to a new nearby cafe where I received excellent service.

We popped into café 31 this lunchtime for 2 toasties with chips. The food is always lovely here and is home cooked. Piping hot, just needs a little more seasoning. People are pleasant but the owners must have been on holiday as the 2 young people running the place were on their phones a lot?? Very pleasant but need to be bit more on the ball with customer service and a bit faster especially during quiet periods.

Went to this café on Saturday afternoon and the café has changed a lot since I was last in. It is more up market now and bright. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Skinny Latte came quickly and was very nice. The place has free Wi Fi for those who want it and they don't mind you plugging in your Tablet. They did not rush me or pester me to buy another coffee so was relaxed and enjoyed my time at Café 31. Hygiene was 3 out of 5 and was last visited on 12th August, 2014 so no problems here.

Very different experience from our last, waitress was sulky and rude. Really did not make us feel welcome. Seems to be run by youngsters who are more interested in talking amongst themselves than doing their jobs - will not be returning

I spent two weeks in Poynton for business and I had lunch at Cafe' 31 for two weeks every day. I just couldn't help it! The food is lovely and there is so much in the menu to chose from: you cannot get bored because they have gourmet sandwiches, panini, salads, jacket potatoes, all day breakfast... They also have a nice selection of herbal and fruity teas and drinks, beers too.

We had Afternoon Tea which was lovely. A glass of bubbly to start, followed by tasty sandwiches, a large pot of tea and delicious home made cakes. The cafe also serves the finest roast coffee and has a delicatessen menu, with lovely hand made ice cream. The outside terrace is perfect for people watching, plus free Wifi.

We held a joint 60/80 party here and it was absolutely fantastic. The staff are brilliant and extremely helpful from all correspondence to the night. We had about 30 ppl for a small do and they were brilliant letting us come earlier even though half of our party did end up staying to the late! The food was exceptional the steak ale pie was devine and had our guests talking about it for weeks after! Compliments to the chef! Lovely party area, when decorated with balloons and banners it was a really good atmosphere, the bar were happy to play music on Spotify all night. Really spacious and just a really lovely evening. Great hospitality. Deffo worth considering for a function.

We used to live in Weaverham and often walked to the Riverside for a drink or food. They used to do 2 main courses for £10 which was good values for money. I know those days are now gone but after our recent visit I don’t think we will be returning. We booked a table for Sunday lunch for 4 people. We ordered drinks which came promptly and then ordered our food. We only ordered 4 mains, fish and chips, sea bass and 2 x steak and ale pies. We waited over an hour for our food, others who arrived after us received their food so we asked how long ours was going to take and were told they were just plating up. 10 minutes later we finally received our food. The fish and chips did look lovely and was a healthy portion size, the pies were well filled but mash potato was a bit on the small side. The main issue was the sea bass. There were 2 small fillets with a few crushed potatoes underneath, a spoonful of frozen peas, 2 green beans and 5 mange tout. Now for £17.95 I expected more. I’m not a big eater or a quick eater but I finished my meal first, and I knew I wouldn’t be full for long. How much do vegetables cost? Surely some carrots and tender stem broccoli wouldn’t break the budget? I did mention this and I was not charged for my alcohol free G&T, but I couldn’t wait to get home and have something to eat, disappointing.

Visited the Wilbrahams on my lunch break. I found everyone to be incredibly welcoming and friendly. There was a wide range of options on the food menu, I went with the grilled cheese sandwich and was not disappointed! Generous portions, great value for money and friendly staff.
