Overpriced. Shockingly small products compared to years ago. Hardly any filling. More pastry than filling. Also yesterday's products have an X on the back of them

Had a vegetable pastie more pastry than veg. Just a blob of vegetables in the middle none around the outside shame because vegy filling was very good

£2.50 for a tiny meat and potato pie. Nothing special, just the same as any other little pie out there. My legs nearly buckled.

Well, what can I say the cakes are delicious? The pasties and pastries are out of this world. Very reasonably priced . If you're feeling Pekish this is the best place to go

Very good bakery, bit pricey but suppose you get what you pay for, tin loaf brilliant for toast, vannila slice wife loves.

Think this shop has been hit by covid hard half the shop it used to be

Great offer of savory and sweet pastries and pies. Prices are fair to very good , taking into account the quality of their products. Place is kept clean and tidy, staff are always smiling and fast at serving. Definitely have to try them if you are a pastry lover !

I have dietary issues. When enquiring about it the member of staff was extremely unhelpful. Quite curt. Ill put it down to her lack of knowledge which should not be an excuse for rudeness. Dont think i will go back

Carvery Bap is a joke! 5£ for a bit of chicken and onion. Says on website that the hot drink should be included too... I think I paid extra for the drink... Rip off in my opinion... Or they just don't know what they doing...

Very friendly staff and we had a very comfortable and relaxing afternoon.

Had a fabulous meal after our daughter's Graduation. There was a great variety of choice. The food was beautifully presented, tasted fabulous and plenty of it. We were delighted with our choice of venue. The staff were a credit to the Kingsley. Very friendly efficient and nothing was any bother. Thank you for a lovely end to a celebratory day.

We recently organised a baby shower for our friend in the Kingsley. The hotel was the perfect venue. Everything was excellent from the food, to the staff, to the K Lounge itself etc. It was fantastic value for money. Could not recommend the Kingsley highly enough !!!

We had probably the best ever party because of your restaurant. Food 5 star, staff unbelievable, ambiance superb. Please thank the serving staff and particularly the restaurant manager on the night. She was so courteous and indeed tolerant of our sing song. When we retired to the bar we received similar service. We'll done to all. I didnt reply to value question as I didn't pay but I'm sure it was

First time having Afternoon Tea there even though I’ve been there a few times for lunch. Staff were great & attentive. It was my mum’s birthday so they came out with a few cakes & a candle singing “Happy Birthday”. Nice touch, much to my mum’s mortification!! We had a nice table overlooking the river which was fabulous. Table was a bit rocky but they did their best to rectify this.

An overall delightful afternoon tea experience. A picturesque river view, beautiful live music and delicious pastries, cakes, scones and sandwiches, what more could you ask for!

Clean, tidy and calm. I only had a sausage and egg bap with a cup of tea but both were great - especially the sausage!

The waitress that served us couldn’t be nicer! So helpful and checked in on us loads! Afternoon Tea was fabulous, such nice food and the views were amazing too! Couldn’t recommend enough!

I had no problem changing the time of my booking twice for a group of 14 ladies. We had a few different dietary requirements and nothing was too much trouble.

We had a lovely table by the river with great privacy and the food was delicious. Coffee cups were placed on the table, 30 mins later, no tea or coffee had arrived so I asked the waitress who then brought cold coffee. Otherwise we had a really enjoyable meal.

The venue was perfect for the Graduation. Menu was amazing, great options and the food was lovely. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a great day

It was our first ever afternoon tea event in the Kingsley. The staff were all friendly, efficient and very welcoming.Good options in snacks/sandwitches/pastries.Kids enjoyed the sweets and icecream. Everything was excellent !!!

We requested and were assured that we could get options for gluten free meals. On arriving the restaurant were not able to provide this and menu was limited to very plain food. Salmon or chicken fillet. If you can’t provide the options then please don’t tell you can when reserving.

The Prosecco was completely over priced, having booked the afternoon tea online weeks in advance when we arrived the table wasn’t ready, which I was a bit annoyed about! The food was only ok. I’ve had afternoon tea in other hotels in cork that was much nicer and better value for money.

The service was fantastic. Catered for children very well. Very enjoyable.

Beautiful meal - fab setting overlooking the river - food & service excellent - lovely touch with the extra dessert plate for confirmation child - she was thrilled with that. - staff very nice & helpful - lovely day & occasion for the family .... only slight criticism i would have - I cant remember what we paid 3 years ago for my sons confirmation, but i was surprised at cost of €36 pp - i felt it was a little expensive for lunch - however i would still reccomend the kingsley to friends ...albeit with a caveat on the cost!

Myself and my family really enjoyed ourselves at your hotel for my daughters confirmation .. we could not fault anything .. everything from the meal ,atmosphere, scenery was perfect and especially the staff.. they couldnt do enough to help us ...my daughter loved her gift from the chef. It was a lovely touch .we will definetly be back again. Thank you all so much

Have recently moved to the area and found Chatwins - Nice clean store and friendly staff, went for a coffee and a snack tried the savoury roll something line a Cornish pasty filling in a sausage roll pastry – we’re hooked will be back.

It was a lovely day & staff were helpful, but they were very busy & we had to call them a few times for tea top ups etc, also weren't offered herbal tea's as an option. They were very nice & we did enjoy our afternoon tea.Thanks.

When we sat down at our table, we didn’t get the menu and we have to ask what tea selections were available and the lady who was serving us wasn’t really helpful. We also noticed fingerprint marks on our glasses and the plates and tea pots were quite dirty with some stains on them. I don’t think this is acceptable. Overall, the food was okay and worth the money but there is a room of improvement needed in terms of the service and the cleanliness. Thank you.

I had afternoon tea at the kingsley on Saturday. While the food was lovely we were freezing where we were sitting, I said it 3 times and no attempt to move us somewhere warmer. I also had to call the girl twice to refill our teapots. Very bad service and a bad experience. We stayed for a dew drinks - towards the end of the night there was a bad smell in the bar, similar to a blocked toilet or something. I was ooking forward to visiting the hotel as I had never been but I wont be back in a hurry.

We live locally & haven't been to this particular place recently but was very surprised to find the seating area had become much smaller than previously experienced. Having said that Chatwins bakery is "top" of my list & has been for many years. Their bread cakes can't be beaten in my personal view & this was reflected in the toasted tea cake I ordered & the mince pie. My husband ordered a bacon bap which was delicious a choice of white or brown bap. The only negative aspect that the tables for 2 are very small but i think that is a minor comment.

Excellent hotel and restaurant. Lovely settings. Felt a little rushed by waitor at the beginning. Overall the price for the food & service was about right.

We were served by a polish waitress with brown hair. The afternoon tea was good however the unprofessional of the waitress who served us was unacceptable. I paid at the till with the manager. As we left the hotel the waitress shouted across "girls you have to pay" I found this very embarrassing as other customers were staring. This experience would stop me from paying €60 again for afternoon tea

The afternoon tea was a surprise for my partner and we had a fantastic experience and our server Julieanne was a delight to deal with. I would highly recommend to everyone . We will definitely be returning for this 5 star experience.
