Large party , food slow to come out and one meal missing but they did send the children's food out first because they were getting hungry. Carvery luke warm but ok , what saved the night was the lovely staff , a credit to the pub , nothing was too much trouble, I only caught 1 name , lucas and he was very good, very helpful , another young lad was lovely too ( said he shouldn't have been working that night but they were busy)

We booked to eat and sit in the play area. We had the carvery which was lovely. The children loved the soft play, Nadia was so good with them, we really appreciated the info she gave us and the service was brilliant such a credit to the team. Thank you again, we will be back.

We had a fun filled evening with the kids however, the manager on duty here could do with some soft skills and customer service skills. Luckily, there was another lady on duty that was lovely and very accommodating.

Had an amazing time with the kids at the Wacky Warehouse! We came a few weeks ago and the kids loved making Valentine’s Day cards. Afra was lovely she went above and beyond for us, we will definitely come back again. Xx

Called in by chance with my daughter and grandchildren. I had the vegetarian tex mex loaded chips. Such an impressive change from the usual unimaginative vegetarian food. The food was the best pub meal that we have ever eaten. Absolutely amazed that kids eat for free. All the staff were very pleasant and friendly. We will definitely go back soon. Thank you.

Visited with our youngest child on a whim on the way home from a local play centre, from the outside a lovely looking pub so we decided to drop in, first impressions on entering the building were good, we were greeted by a fabulous young American(?) lady who was super welcoming and let us know how everything worked. We ordered using the app which worked for us and drinks were delivered promptly. Our food came within a reasonable time and the aforementioned member of staff checked back on us throughout. The food was average at best, I hadn’t expected Michelin star stuff when I ordered a £13 mixed grill but the meat was dry and lukewarm while the chips and onion rings red hot, suggesting the meats had been sat waiting for the fried elements a while longer than they should. In summary the front of house staff did a great job, cleanliness was also really good probably wouldn’t eat there again but would happily pop in for a drink!

Me and a friend had a lovely meal i had the chicken burger which was amazing and ky friend had the ultimate mixed grill which he said was the best one he had. Evie chloe and eden were nothing but polite helpful and you can have a laugh with them. Food came out quick and drinks made perfectly would highly recommend

Been here 4 times now, enjoyed the carvery so much the first time that we came back again the same week. We’ve been twice again this month and can’t praise the food highly enough. Top quality roast beef, gorgeous roasties and perfect roast parsnips. Lovely staff and nice atmosphere.

Staff very unprofessional one woman staff member was farting near people eating and laughing saying I shouldn't have had that food and the manager came out laughing about it and they was shouting behind bar and laughing. Also had no meats even tho they took my money before saying this

£6 a pint and carvery was dry definitely been left out all day it went in the bin and no Condiments available just empty Bowls all dryer up . never again would I spend a penny in this place and staff are like zombies it’s like a episode out of The Walking Dead !!!

lovely staff very friendly, especially the Italian looking lady behind the bar. Food was excellent. I has roast beef carvery and the meat was cooked to perfection. Kids eat free so my grandson had chicken nuggets and chips which he gobbled up. The young man who waited on was also very pleasant.

Poor customer service and won't be in a hurry to return. With less than a minute to go to finish our meals we were 'asked' to move tables, with an offer to carry our plates to another table! We left the plates in disgust. If only we were allowed one more minute to finish our meals it wouldn't have been so unpleasant or offered a complimentary drink. Lessons to be learned I think.

Not surprised to see other reviews mentioning the place being understaffed. It really is. Off to a poor start, as we’d made a reservation over the phone that hadn’t been passed on or put in the system. Luckily there were still tables available. Took our two toddlers to the Wacky Warehouse and my goodness, why have you left one poor woman on her own to essentially manage half the building? Kimmy was doing a fantastic job and was super friendly, but there’s no chance one person can keep on top of everything going on in that space. Our kids loved the Wacky Warehouse itself. There’s a racing arcade game in the corner that gives no indication of how much it is to use. Like others, we found it hard to get attention at the carvery, which when you’ve two impatient toddlers in tow is not what you need. Cutlery stations were all empty and it took a long time to source some. Two big bowls of gravy at the carvery - both empty when I got there, and again waiting around while it gets restocked. And then, because you only have one person manning the Wacky Warehouse and she can’t be in ten places at once, I’m having to balance my dinner on one arm while I lean round a corner to find the switch that unlocks the gate. There were no lights on in the car park when we left. It was literally pitch black and getting my pregnant wife and two toddlers back to the car felt very unsafe. Sad to say there were so many issues that we’re unlikely to go back. It was just too stressful from a parenting perspective.

Popped in here for dinner on the way to the airport and was so pleasantly surprised! A thoughtful, large menu that's well priced as well as a great drinks menu including their own cocktails and mocktails. The service was absolutely 5 star and dinner came quicker than expected. The only down side was that the fries that came (although lovely) weren't the advertised ones which I was looking forward to (skin on with rosemary and sea salt). However, it's only a minor issue and I'd definitely return if in the area again.

Glad we came here for Sunday lunch (carvery). We were seated straight away without the need to book. Leon one of the waiters was a very polite young man who made us feel welcome and checked everything was OK with our food. Credit to the team.

Found ourselves at the Heath Farm pub and Carvery enroute home to Devon. Food was amazing and not too expensive. £22 for 2 x carveries and 2 x soda's. Totally warrants 5 * for food quality and price. Phil & Samantha

Family of 7 went for Christmas Day lunch. All the way through our server and all the other staff were really polite and attentive. We had a 3 course including a Christmas Day carvery and the food in each course was lovely. We all had different choices and it was all perfect. Can't fault it at all. All went home happy. Booked off the festive menu for our group of 36 , table was set out fantastically the food was excellent and service was second to none as always , will definitely return thanks guys

Just called in when passing, we had the small plate starter 5 for 17.00, the food was plentiful well presented very tasty, staff were excellent lovely environment worth a visit you will enjoy, we will definitely call again.

I have had carveries at dozens of establishments and this was the best I have had. The food was first class and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended 👌

Went to the wacky today and the lady called chenai was amazing helped and advised us all, Kept coming and asking if everyone was OK and if we needed anything was just nice to see that someone is making sure your OK amd making your time there worth going She is a credit to heathfarm and they should be lucky to have such a kind person. 10 out of 10 100% will be eating there again.

First visit today and by a mile , value for money by a mile the carvery was spot on .Do not hesitate, the house red at £11.99 was 👌 great with the generous tender roast beef . Will definitely be going back ! Staff delightful.

We had a wonderful time celebrating a family Birthday at Heath Farm. The kids loved the Wacky Warehouse and the food at the carvery was delicious. All the staff in the warehouse and restaurant were friendly and really helpful. Thank you so much and we’ll see you again soon!

Been today with our grandchildren food wad absolutely terrible sent back numerous occasions under cooked food strange taste to a pasta dish but on the other hand the girls in the play area were absolutely fantastic and helpful 30/11/24 and feel sorry for them as many meals got sent back must try harder play area staff 10/10

Waited at the carvery station for ages. Rang the bell your meant to ring. No one came. A young lad kept walking round and round, didn’t seem to know what he was doing. A member of the public told him I’d been there forever and so he finally alerted someone. Later waited nearly ten minutes at the bar as no staff were in attendance. Eventually a girl came out to serve. It’s Saturday night so why are all the staff in the back? Surely you need to be out front serving? The food was lovely however. I think the new lad was new and he looked like he had no idea what he was meant to do. He needed some direction. The food was great the service was poor

Terrible !! Food cold, very bland, waited a long time for a very sub standard meal Staff very overwhelmed and seemed very unorganised, food dropped on table with no explanation of what or who meal was for !! Just not good enough.

Food was brought out freezing cold with a dead fly on the plate, we returned the food and it came back out on the same plate, freezing cold food with a finger mark where the fly had been swiped off the plate. Manager came out to apologise and was so polite but could only offer us a refund for that meal...considering everyones food was cold and nothing was eaten. Wont be returning any time soon, we used to enjoy going once a month as my little boy loves the play area. The only good thing about the place. Food is GROSS and so unhygienic.

Our local pub. The pastas aren't the best but just about everything is great and there's a great carvery available at pretty much any time you fancy it. We bring the dogs sometimes too and they always have something to eat.

This place is an absolute shambles, been twice recently and neither was a positive experience. Went here the other day for a carvery and nothing was ready together. Had to wait for meat, pigs in blankets, stuffing, broccoli, and gravy. All of it came out separately over the space of about 20 minutes. The beef was also really overcooked and tough. My little one had a kids meal followed by brownie and ice cream. Usually it's a battle to get the pudding, but on our most recent visit it basically came out as a side dish to the main. We were offered to keep it warm (it had ice cream) but we declined. The place also seems to be understaffed which probably doesn't help things. I'm a glutten for punishment so will probably visit again, but wouldn't recommend the place in all honesty. A few positives: they have Dr Pepper Zero on tap, and it's relatively cheap when it comes to eating out (carvery and a drink was like £15 on a Sunday) .

Every time we go, the food is always fresh and tasty. The staff are an asset to the company. They are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble even during busy periods.

Spent an afternoon working and snacking. Warm atmosphere and quick and friendly service. Eden was very helpful finding me a power point for my laptop and Kyla brought me my food with a friendly smile. Particular recommendations for the halloumi fries and the biscoff cake!

We visited on Sunday 3rd November for two cavery lunches the Service was excellent from initial arrival to being seated. The staff were very friendly and polite. And the food was delicious, would highly recommend and we will back to visit soon

After a little mishap at the beginning, our visit was excellent. Jordan and Casey were great together! They had us laughing throughout our visit, and we genuinely felt welcomed by the two of them, their customer service alone deserves this 5* we will return!

Havnt been for ages, however such s friendly venue

I don't really write reviews all that often but felt like I really needed to write this. My first time coming here wasn't the best experience. We ordered 3 mixed grills and my partner specifically asked them for ONE mixed grill without egg and there comes 2 mixed grills without egg and the mixed grills were so dry, we felt like they weren't edible at all. Had to pay £40 odd for dry meals but the reason why I picked to go here was the fact that they have a Wacky Warehouse on site also so when we finished, we went straight next door to Wacky Warehouse to be told there's a Halloween party going on so they are closing in 5 minutes. I had to suffer with a crying little girl all the way so had to take her somewhere else to play. (forked even more money out) I'm really not impressed by my first time experience and neither were my family members. This venue was a complete let down unfortunately.

My daughter had a party for her son and we went as well they did a brilliant job with the children highly recommend it

Very disappointing!! Booked a table on line only for them not to find it upon arrival. Seamed to be staffed by lots of people not knowing what they are doing. We watched numerous staff come out with food and take to the wrong tables, then hunting for who its for. Ordered a Gluten free meal which was advertised as comes with poppadom's but then told couldn't have any. Had to wait for 1hr 30 for that and a child's fish fingers and beans. NOT WORTH PAYING FOR. We wont be back I'm afraid - poor service - poor food. Also absolutely NO outside lighting so if your child is exiting the play barn in the dark nights please be careful. It is an accident waiting to happen.

Best carvery I've ever had, delicious.

We came for a Sunday carvery. We waited just over 20 minutes for our tiny, basic (burnt nachos which were actually cut up tortillas) starters that were plonked on the table on a tray. We queued for 40 minutes for the carvery which felt painful!! And who puts mushy peas on a carvery menu?? Food was red hot which was good. The deed was good, turkey average and gammon looked sloppy. We won’t be coming back.

Asbouluty shambles rude staff & no Carvery at 5 15pm it should be out at 4 15pm

Went with my husband for a meal, had to queue for a drink, which was fine as I could see that they were busy. Ordered our food while meanwhile could hear the table next to us complaining about the wait. Eventually after 1hr 20mins my meal came, thought my husbands would follow but it never came. I asked a member of staff where my husbands food was and was asked how long ago it was ordered. I thought this was strange as it shouldn't make any difference, my query was why mine came and my husbands hadn't when both meals were ordered together. I was told she'd find out and get back to me. She never came back. At this time I'd finished my meal so my husband asked for a refund for his. We got the refund but we're told they were short staffed, staff in the kitchen had chemical fumes in their eyes and they were struggling and sorry for the inconvenience. I think if they had been honest with customers and told them the issues before letting them order food and taking their money people could of made their own minds up whether to stay or not and been a little more understanding. I won't be visiting Heath Farm again and just glad it wasn't a special occasion meal. Total disappointment

I have never had anything negative to say about this lovley place , unfortunately on this occasion a young lady who served myself was none other than very rude , when I asked for no ice in my drink she rolled her eyes , she also had a very bad attitude , I have never known anything like it , 2 other people were complaining about her customer skills , I will be contacting the manager , people don't pay to recieve this poor service .

We enjoyed are meal but the service was pretty diabolical and the staff talking and got drinks behind the bar when sat there with dirty plates on our table for a least 30 Minutes. With staff just walking past us so I got up in the end I put our plates on the bar also it was pretty cold in the pub to we won’t be returning let down

Had a long wait as No one on wacky warehouse tills when we arrived as they were in the main bar,probably understaffed. This meant no one serving coffee/cakes juice etc. Had to go over to main bar to order anything which is unreasonable if you are on your own with a child , thankfully I was with my husband. Decided on a meal .Husband had a mixed grill,chicken looked very strange,quite shrivelled and burnt/dry. I had a pie that tasted microwaved as pastry was quite soggy and the peas were very hard. Desert was apple pie and that also tasted microwaved . Only thing I enjoyed was the ice cream . Thankfully our little boy enjoyed his meal!he had sausages,beans and chips plus ice cream and fruit. No complaints about his meal ,he loved it.

Food was excellent, most meat I've had at carvery for years. Only disappointment was I went back to the bar to order drinks and they didn't materialize until we asked a second time.

Ordered rump steak and paid to be told after they had none. No carvery meat so no carvery no steaks no gamon no fish so no fish and chips. I can only eat certain things so I ordered the chicken which turned up burned black and the peas were cold. When they finally sorted the bill out they'd charged for the wrong steak as well. No toilet paper in 2 of the ladies. It was only just after 6pm the dinning area was dead and there was no atmosphere.

The food was great as always, service was great too. Booked a table, via phone, half an hour prior arriving. However was then met with a lack of tables. I ended up being sat at table 1 which is in the doorway, to the entrance/exit and wacky warehouse. This table should be removed from the floor as it ruined the whole experience, children running back and forth loudly and constantly. I am fully aware it is a Wacky Warehouse pub BUT the lack of parent input in general and lack of parent input being enforced by the staff impacts the whole restaurant.

Service was excellent - Callum, Jess, Chloe and Emily all went above and beyond to accommodate us. Callum was brilliant with our toddler who was having a tantrum, he managed to distract him which calmed our child down. A credit to the company

I came here with my 2 younger children the wacky was so good for the kids clean and tidy the staff were so helpful and kind on the day I came Kirsty was my host and she interacted with my children and helped me with doors and carrying my stuff the kids enjoyed playing here and I would visit again

First time tried staff so helpful and very polite. The Sunday carvery and this please need more people to visit its a gold nugget and has wacky warehouse too where staff are also friendly. The only thing I would say is that the outside rear area need a bit of love ❤️ Well done everyone

Came tonight, had the Gammon, Egg and Chips it was gorgeous, very much so value for money. Will return! The service from Jordan and Jess was very helpful, and appreicated.

Great staff, great food really enjoyed my visit. Tablet service was excellent, particularly Karen who is always pleasant with a smile to go with it.

I would definitely recommend the staff are amazing special with children with special needs my little bother has got ADHD and the staff treated him like the others and was so understanding with him top it all off the food was amazing

Won't be visiting again, I normally visit heath farm once a week to take my 2 year old to the wacky and out for lunch, Friday 5th July we went and my 2 year old daughter had a burger which was completely raw inside and stone cold, I took it back to the lady who was on the wacky and she was lovely about it and said she would take it back and get me a full refund due to this. I have not yet received a refund and cant get intouch with the pub, I have sent 2 emails. I will be taking this futher to food standards with proof and pictures as I think its absolutely disgusting that a child has been given uncooked food and not a single thing has been done about it.

Booked for a breakfast at 10:15 place wasn’t open tried calling but no answer! Disappointing

The SEN session that runs in the wacky warehouse on a Thursday is great and has really made a difference having an accepting environment my child who struggles with socialising can be their self in and enjoy themselves. The staff is great, though on one occasion some staff discussing another's personal life in front of customers was rather unprofessional.

A little mention to the currently depleted team at Heath Farm. I pop in occasionally through the week for a little respite from full time care for mum. Seen quite a few staff come and go in recent times but just wanted to say a big thank you to a few who make my afternoons lighter and who are giving it their all Jordan, Chloe, Chantelle, Callum, Casey. But please could we have Old Speckled Hen back in 😍
