waited about 40 minutes for the food to arrive despite there only being a few other groups of people there, makes you wonder how they do during busier times. nonetheless the food was absolutely amazing! nice inside & clean. :-) staff were also kind and not pushy whatsoever which feels like a rarity nowadays.

£3.95 for a watermelon iced tea that was half filled with bubbles and tasted so sugary! 🤢 The cafe was very noisy also so wouldn’t recommend sorry.

Lovely place. Staff attentive without being pushy. We had panini's which came with chips and a very fresh side salad. They allow dogs which is nice and offered to get a bowl of water for him. The decor is relaxing and the crockery is fabulous. A thoroughly nice place and I will definitely be going again next time I'm in Nantwich.

Our food was inedible. Cheap and nasty sausages and the tuna mayonnaise resembled the texture of cat food.

I believe this business has changed hands recently and I must congratulate the new owners. We had a superb and very generous cooked breakfast, a very nice coffee and all at a very reasonable price. The young ladies serving were excellent, friendly but polite. We will certainly return.

One of the best places for breakfast, the food was delicious as you could tell it was fresh and not frozen! The staff was very welcoming and friendly! overall, i had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this Cafe!

I frequently visit the area, as have friends here and we usually go for a bite to eat here but we haven’t been for a while - , came again recently as we’d heard it had new owners - wow what a change - much more choice than before again at a fab price would highly recommend! Needed a cooked breakfast the morning after a wedding. Great service, brilliant food and delicious coffee.

We have been to most of the coffee shops/cafés in Nantwich, but have always prefered this one as it's more relaxed and less hustle and bustle than say Costa's or Nero's. There has been a management change here recently, and it shows! Overall, the food quality has gone down, obviously cost cutting by using cheaper ingredients etc, and the place is usually empty save half a dozen customers, yet like everywhere else, prices have risen whereas the quality has gone down? This is a great shame, as the peaceful ambience is a godsend, and is one of the few places where you can have a meal and/or a coffee without having to endure listening to wrecthed dogs yapping at the slightest noise! Another thing we've noticed too is that, what must be the owner, is always perched at one of the tables on her laptop all day long? You see this a lot these days, but in our opinion, this doesn't look very professional, and you feel like you're being watched everytime you move from your seat, even the serving staff don't look at ease with the matriarch sat there, constantly monitoring everything, what does she think we're going to do, run off with a sachet of sugar! It's definitely changed here under the new ownership, such a shame as it's a lovely place away from the busy coffee shops, with nice decor and a relaxing atmosphere. Will probably give it a miss from now on unfortunately?

Lovely cafe off the square, I would describe it as a little gem. Well worth the visit for a catch-up with family & friends. The owner and staff are polite and chatty. Family and I would definitely go back.

Ate out today as a family of 5, three of our meals were served, and two were not. After waiting for quite some time we asked where the missing meals were, after around 5 minutes a waiter came to the table and apologised the food ticket had been lost, we explained this was not really good enough, they offered a refund for the missing meals which we agreed to, but we were told the missing food was still going to come out, ten minutes later one missing meal arrived and once again part of the order was missing. All we got was "We can only apologise, were doing our best" This was an absolute joke, your best was certainly not your best, after losing the food ticket the first time and refunding money to us, you really would have thought on the second attempt you would make sure you brought all the missing food out. Not a great experience at all, the apology did not seem genuine and left us feeling extremely disappointed and annoyed. Needless to say, this not somewhere I would recommend to visit. When making a trip to the toilet, you can't help but see into the kitchen, and had we seen this before eating we really wouldn't have placed any food order to be honest. Hygiene definitely doesn't seem to be a priority and in this sector, that's really not good enough.

Disgusting service, lost ticket for half our order. Partial refund after complaining after 15mins wait. Won't be coming here again. The food that did come out was not great!

Really nice place, really nice food, better than expected. Only reason for a 3 star on atmosphere was it was a Sunday afternoon and it was quiet, however, they were playing some great tunes in the background!

If you don't mind waiting for over 15 minutes just for a coffee while the staff are gossiping then it's fine. Coffee good when it arrives

Good food at a reasonable price. We went on a Sunday morning and were 1st in so not much atmosphere at that time but that was fine with us. Friendly staff.

Dog friendly, doggie treats available at the counter along with water for your pooch. Clean environment, plenty of space in between tables so you don't feel crowded. Good selection of hot and cold drinks available. Chips have their skins on which is always a bonus. Great, friendly service.

The staff always make us feel welcome, the food is always hot and plentiful. My friends and I frequent Aroma for coffee and cake and at the weekends we come in here as three couple and our children. Even when the place is busy the staff are friendly, accommodating, and keep us entertained. The manager/owner David has a great sense of humour and always checks on us when we visit. The food is always beautifully presented, hot and plentiful. All cooked fresh to order and the home made soups are delicious. Please remember the whole world is short staffed - be kind, especially to those in service….thank you

9 of us went for lunch in aroma yesterday. Food, drink, staff, atmosphere was all amazing as usual. We visit aroma often n cannot compliment enough how wonderful this place is. Thank you team for making all our visits so lovely.

Come out from a family lunch today! First time in a while I have had food from Aroma, I have to say it was amazing. Chose a Brie and caramelised onion panini, it was delish! The panini was full of filling and it came with salad (dressing in it) and chips which were incredible! I will be coming back again for more than my usual coffee

Popped in for lunch with the family for the after Inc. a favourite of the youngest in the family. It was busy, but still had a lovely atmosphere with friendly staff and quick service. Food and drinks were lovely and all for a reasonable price.

This has been the worst experience of eating out in a long while the food was terrible, overpriced and cold food initially never again staff were ok but food was yuck !!!!! 😡😡 angry at paying too much for rubbish food 🥘

Staff were fine but food was horrible ordered meatball sandwiches meatballs were tiny and too spicy order sweet potato chips and only got plain chips leaves horrible taste in your mouth after had to wait half an hour

We found Aroma after calling to Costa & it was packed. First impressions were good, coffee took ages to come though and my decaf was awful & tasteless. I swapped it for a tea, which was also not great. Loads of dirty plates on tables, seemed a lot of food being left. I just had a pre-wrapped cake which was fine. We couldn't understand why Aroma was half full & Costa was heaving - now we know why..

Visited early afternoon on Saturday just for coffee and cake. We have been to Aroma on many occasions, and enjoyed our visits although since the middle of last year, the prices do seem to have increased dramatically. On entering, it appeared that they were extremely busy and we felt fortunate to get a table by the door. However, once seated, it became apparent that they weren’t run off their feet, it was just that no one was clearing tables and therefore over half the tables were still full of plates, cutlery and cups / glasses from previous customers. In fact, once we had ordered our refreshments and were back at the table, at least 8 people came to the door, looked through the glass and walked away because all they could see were tables full of other people’s dirty dishes. One waitress brought a tray to one of the tables to clear it, put a plate and cup on the tray and then walked away - leaving the tray and the rest of the debris on the table! Our drinks and cake duly arrived and we enjoyed them. As we put our coats on to leave, one of the staff apologised for the wait we had had. We said it was fine as we had not waited very long at all but we mentioned that several people had walked away without coming in, seemingly because of the uncleared tables. He said that 2 of his staff had gone home sick, so he was short-staffed. He then said that he had a function for 80 that evening and was closing the kitchen so no one else would get food if they just walked in anyway! Strange attitude !

Very poor experience with the breakfast. The food came out wrong, cold or overcooked across multiple dishes and had to be sent back.

Quirky cafe/bar in Nantwich town centre. Had a meatball sandwich on sourdough bread with cheese and garlic aeiliio . So big we both had to bring it home to finish.

A really nice Costa. The staff were friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was so nice, could have stayed longer. Didn't feel like a Costa.

Had lunch today waited 45mins when it arrived they only served 2 meals instead of 3, they also forgot the fries we ordered. The service was terrible we had to ask for utensils, the food was terrible, the toilet facilities needed a good clean overall i would not recommend you visit this cafe.

We visited mid-week and were the only people in, very little atmosphere, food and service lackluster and the girl was hardly busy.

Disappointing food though pleasant staff. Brunch sandwich on sourdough: egg overcooked, bacon undercooked and sourdough soggy. A wet day so any port in a storm but I would avoid in future despite pleasant well mannered staff.

Usually the food is very good, but I had a vegan cottage pie at my last visit two weeks ago, it was very poor. I was expecting mashed potato on top, as per a traditional cottage pie, but the potato was in with the vegan mince and sauce. It was like a jacket potato that had been cut up and mixed in, also the potato had really hard bits, as though it had been overcooked or overheated in a microwave oven. The kale and cabbage, of which there was way too much, was hardly cooked. Looking back, I should have complained, but I didn't want the embarrassment of people staring.

Place was nearly empty but it was a miserable, wet week day. I ordered tea but had to ask for a clean cup as it was badly stained and chipped. Second cup badly stained and lipstick around the edge. 3rd cup badly stained. I gave up. Either dishwasher wants servicing or detergent dosing equipment needs looking at.

I came there yesterday and the staff was really nice the food was lovely I had no problems with it I would definitely recommend going there its dog friendly free and it's all wonderful I would go there again because it was so nice and the staff was nice and friendly thank u for all of it

Had lunch here this weekend. Service was very poor. There was no clean cutlery and staff were just standing around doing nothing other than drinking their own drinks! Food took about 45 minutes to come out, considering we'd only ordered a jacket potato and a children's meal I felt this was rather slow. The jacket potato was dry and hard. It had hardly any cheese on it. Won't be returning.

Aroma Café, Nantwich, is a firm favourite. Besides a varied menu, the food is tasty and nicely presented. The service extended by David and his team is second-to-none, impressing new patrons and ensuring that regulars return time and time again. I'd give this place a 5* rating every time! The perfect place to grab a bite to eat and catch up with friends, not only is it atmospheric with a great selection of music played in the background, the decor is lovely as is the food and staff, who were friendly and full of banter.

After numerous disappointing visits to this place (incorrect breakfast orders to the point it became a standing joke that you may as well not take too much time deciding what to order because you'll get something else anyway) my girlfriend and I swore never to go back. Despite this, and very much to our regret, we did give it just one more chance... Last Saturday we, very forgivingly, popped in for breakfast. My girlfriend was served a very slap-dash breakfast ciabatta with over-cooked (and at a very high temperature evidently) fried eggs that looked (and tasted) like burnt bubble wrap. I was served smashed avocados on white toast (I ordered brown) with a raw "poached" egg on top. I also asked to add bacon and for my extra £3.50 was given one under-cooked (and I'm not fussy by the way, but this was very very under cooked) rasher of bacon (not one for each slide - there were two of everything else, two eggs, two slices etc. - I kind of meant can I add bacon to the dish, i.e to both slices, not "can I have one slice of bacon thrown on anywhere you like). When asked by the manager how our food was I had to mention these issues and his response was in the end what made up our minds that there's no hope for this place. He immediately asked "who served you?". Well, the girl who served us was absolutely lovely and not in any way to blame, she had no control whatsoever over what came out of the kitchen, she didn't cook it, she didn't bring it to the table, she simply took our order (correctly, and I know this because it appears on the screen my side of the till as she did it) and gave it to the kitchen. The fault occurred in the kitchen. So I didn't want to say who served us. The manager explained "if you tell me who served you I can go through it with them, was it a male or a female" - I said (and I regret telling him) "it was the girl with dark hair over there". He then marched off and came back with a part refund in loose change and said "sorry about that, when it comes to staffing we take what we can get". He went in to say "like anywhere in Nantwich, we struggle to keep staff and I've got a whole new team here, I do apologise". It simply isn't true, other places on Nantwich have very good staff retention and there's good reason why this guy can't keep his staff. Shoddy management means you can expect a poor quality meal, which at best is well over-priced for what you're getting - or worse completely inedible, and furthermore you'll be rewarding this guy for mistreating young junior staff members who deserve better and aren't to blame for his failings. The decor is tired as well. Just avoid like the plague until you see a sign on the door that says "under new management".

We had breakfast there 23/09/2022 and I must admit we’ve not been for years and I’m sorry but we won’t be going back! I had eggs Benedict which I wish now I’d taken a picture of to show how horrible it was! The sauce was awful the bacon grey and under cooked and the muffin if it had been toasted wasn’t very well toasted I could hardly cut through it! My partner she had a bacon sandwich on brown bread which was also awful! Cheap bread undercooked bacon and very fatty and I don’t now what the butter is but it was horrible and lots of it! We were so disappointed as we also used to go here years ago with the kids who used to have babycino’s and great milkshakes but the love for the place seems to have gone! We won’t be back! 😞

Used to be lovely but last few visits have been horrific. Service is slow although staff are lovely and do the best they can, just not enough of them. Last visit paid £12 for nachos and literally just got a bowl of nachos and cheese. No dips or anything. Must have cost 50p to make. Asked for salsa at least but they didn’t have any.

This place could be really good, but it was disappointing. Friendly service but the food was burnt and the toasted sandwich burnt slice put at the bottom to try and hide it. It is a lovely building but whoever is managing this cafe bar needs to overhaul it and think about quality over quantity. It’s put me off returning and it’s a waste if a beautiful building at the moment. Revamp the cafe and have more care and attention paid to the food served and drinks available and it could improve it. I hope in the future this might happen.

Nice little place for lunch, the staff are all absolutely lovely, coffee decent and food good for the price. I'd say the only thing we'd have liked would be a bit more filling in the sandwiches/toasted baguettes (open panini on the menu) but, for £6-8 including chips and salad I'd say it's cheap and cheerful.
