Great for coffee & cake - generous size coffee and hot (not tepid!). A select few cakes to choose from and a smallish selection of snacks/meals. Friendly staff and quick service.

Just popped into this Cafe, which is under new management, for a refreshing drink. I chose a really delicious berry tea, which was served in a very generous teapot for one. No fruit tea bags in sight just the berries brewing nicely in the teapot which had its own brewing sieve. Service was very pleasant too - I will return.

Relish has built its business as a coffee house with soup and sandwich type support. But a fantastic location, particularly on a Saturday morning watching the wedding couples arrive and depart. Very relaxing, albeit limited in terms of choice. It seems to have been taken over with a definite spanishy type theme. The same basic fayre but supplemented by really nice salary and hot food. I had a hot chicken and bacon with really nice Caesar dressing and salad and granary bread. Very tasty at reasonable cost. The specialty beer was Spanish. Again very tasty and refreshing. The new Relish is definitely worth a visit.

Relish has relatively new owners who have refurbished the premises to a high standard. The owners and staff are welcoming, very friendly and happy to please. Their menu is growing, food is exceptional and there is always a good selection of cakes, including gluten-free, to enjoy. Situated by the Church, this little gem is definitely worth a visit.

Just been for brunch and everything excellent. High quality all round with attention to detail. Dill on the smoked salmon; lovely dressing on the salad; huge choice of teas (and good choice of coffee) served in nice crockery etc. Friendly staff, owner (I think) working front of house and greeting everyone, good quick service, plenty of space, Spanish music playing quietly. Everything right. Recommended.

I like Relish. It's got the challenge of a Costa next door, but seems to be doing increasingly well. Given the choice, I always try to patronise an independent outlet rather than a chain. At a recent visit, I enjoyed their excellent coffee and good home made soup. Service is always pleasant, and though the awful musak is inevitably present, it's not quite as loud as next door!

I chose this cafe from trip advisor reviews on the morning I visited. Neither my friend nor I had been before and we will definitely go back. We dashed in from the rain at 1.15 to find the cafe packed (a good sign). There was only one table for three available but it had high stools (the only ones in the cafe). The lovely efficient young waitress realised that this was less than ideal with my youngest son and asked if we would like to be reseated as soon as another table came free. This she did as promised. My friend and I had the soup and sandwich combo for £6.95. Delicious proper home made vegetable soup and cheese candwich on seeded bread, also served with a chopped salad, crisps and a pot of coleslaw. My son had a huge baked potato with beans and cheese, and an amazing chocolate milkshake with thick cream served on top (optional). The food was perfect, simple but served beautifully. The cafe has a contemporary feel and is light and spacious, plenty of room between tables. The waitress was excellent, observant and ready to assist. We both thought that she was a star and would employ her tomorrow. Three lunches, a milkshake and a pot of Earl Grey for two came to just under £28. Worth every penny, we will go back.

We just love this little cafe in Nantwich. The staff are incredibly friendly, the coffee & tea is lovely and the cakes and food are delicious. For breakfast the bacon sandwiches are great, the bread they use is sourced from a lovely local family run bakery, Snapes (not Chatwins!!) and the bacon is lovely. If you're going in for something a bit smaller then I can't recommend the flapjack highly enough! It's so good I bought 2 slices to see me through my recent 35mi race and it was a perfect pick-me-up! If you're in the lovely town of Nantwich then do give this lovely little cafe a try and please, PLEASE stay away from the chains like Costa & Cafe Nero. Independents like Relish deserve every hard earned penny they get.

As a regular to this Cafe I was shocked to read some of the comments on this site!!!!!! The food is good value for money and it is all freshly made. As a Restaurant Manager/ Events & Wedding Planner I understand why some people do get irritated waiting for food but if it is freshly made to order and not pre-packed "ding ding" (microwaved) food then it is to be expected. The staff, Amy, Tina and Flo are very friendly and ALWAYS go out of their way to make your visit enjoyable and pleasant. They always ask "if everything's OK" so if anybody has a problem just tell them instead of putting comments on this site. In my experience, if you don't tell or inform these people if you have a problem then they can't put it right!!!! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this lovely Cafe for fresh food and SCRUMPTIOUS cakes.

I've been to Relish several times and I do admit the Deli itself is nice to be in, the staff are friendly and overall is a pretty nice experience. I've had a variation of things to eat and drink from there such as their salads, sandwiches, soups and tea/coffee. However my most recent experience hasn't been too great.I went on a day that was pretty quite so there was wan't any rush for anything. My regular latte with a shot of syrup tasted like someone had tipped a load of sugar in the cup, I do like sweet things, but not to this extent! I've had soup before and it's been fine, but this soup I had was cold on the edges and warm in the middle which didn't make eating it a good experience. I do hope it's a one off because I have enjoyed their cold dishes like salads and sandwiches but their "Hot" food was not up to scratch. Considering the cost of their food, I would most defiantly not come here again if I can pay less and enjoy similar food that's made properly. In addition since being there on a number of occasions, I feel as if the deli should be switched up a little. They promote products such as their teas and ornamental pieces, but every time I go the same products are being promoted in the same places of the shop. I don't come here very often, but when I do I expect to have a nice experience. It's probably me being picky but if I were to own this Deli I would want to switch up where I locate my products and what I promote to sell at least every month! It makes customers come in to not only experience "good food" but see what's new to browse at and buy potentially. Anyway overall my most recent experience wasn't pleasant. At this moment in time I wouldn't recommend going if you mind spending on food, because it might not be worth it!

We visited at noon on a Saturday to find ourselves the only customers in the deli. It looked lovely and the staff were friendly and initially very attentive. The food and drinks arrived quickly and we were quite impressed. The sandwiches were lovely and fresh and well presented. Unfortunately for us there was a bit of a downpour resulting in an influx of customers escaping the rain. From here it went downhill. The staff didn't seem to have an action plan and as a result having finished our lunches we were left sitting with empty plates for about 20 minutes. I did have my eye on a scrumptious looking coffee and walnut cake and my husband would have had a piece of good looking carrot cake, both with cups of coffee. Alas, we gave up hoping someone would remember we were there so I went to the counter to pay, resulting in lost custom for Relish. It's a real shame because it started with such promise. We will try again, though, in the hope the second time will fulfil our expectations.

Day trip to Nantwich and a wander around the church brought us to the doorstep of Relish. A quaint little café with a modern interior, we decided to give it a try. It was busy inside and we were lucky to get one of the last two tables remaining. After waiting nearly 5-6 minutes with no acknowledgement from staff, we were then given menus to look at. Menu is quite basic but all bases covered from soup, sandwiches and salads. I chose a mozzarella, tomato & basil panini. I was amazed to see the panini taken out of the freezer for defrosting.... surely bread comes in fresh regularly enough to prevent freezing produce? When it arrived I was shocked to find that the basil was merely dried herbs from a packet sprinkled on the mozzarella. For the price (£5.95) I was expecting fresh basil leaves at least. It tasted pretty average, nowhere near what I expected. Wife had a cheese and chilli salsa sandwich which she said was nice. Also, I don't think £2 for a glass of juice is acceptable. I am happy to pay the price for quality, but this was bordering on being ripped off with cheap ingredients. I didn't feel the service was up to speed either, having waited to be served and then waiting for our plates to be cleared, which they weren't, so we just got up to pay. I think this was a staffing issue as they seemed short staffed. I didn't feel this venue was value for money, but nice to try an independent business rather than a chain.

A very pleasant location and generally quite a nice interior decor. Food was unfortunately only average. A little more attention to detail, portion sizes , seasoning and freshness of salad components would not go a miss and could make all the difference. Service time from ordering to serving was quite slow which is a shame for people who may be on short lunch time breaks from work as this would likely put off many potential customers of this type which is a loss of business for the Deli. If your in no hurry then 40 minute to an hour for a light lunch seems about normal on both my visits here. Potentially Relish Deli has a great opportunity to do really well however with such a small kitchen and limited food prep area with minimal serving staff on the day of our second time visit we feel this will be our last time here. A little sad it wasn't better.

Visited May bank holiday Monday, so maybe not usual staff - its a few months since I have eaten here - but what a disappointment. I had cheese and biscuits and a pot of tea and my husband had a prawn salad. Quality of food was well below average. We waited over half an hour for the food (nb no cooking involved) only 2 types of cheese - just cheddar & cheshire. No blue cheese, no smoked cheese, no goats cheese. A handful of grapes - the red ones were all wrinkled and turning bad, the green ones all were starting to go brown. Husband's salad looked very unappetising. Whole lot cost over £16.00 and we weren't even asked if we had enjoyed the food. If we had, I would have said. I support a lot of Nantwich cafes, going out for lunch or just a coffee at least twice a week, and I like to vary the destination from time to time. But I will not go to Relish again. I am not in the habit of leaving reviews, either negative or positive - but this experience made me feel angry and they did not deserve my business.

My husband, baby daughter and I came here for lunch as we had heard good reviews. We were seated by a friendly waitress and given menus. The menu is quite extensive and has lots to offer. My husband chose a gourmet sandwich, whilst I chose a soup & sandwich combination. When the food arrived, I was disappointed that my soup only came with half a sandwich not a full sandwich, as I was going to share this with my daughter for her lunch. Then suddenly the waitress came over with the other half of the sandwich and offered the other half to us 'complimentary' as it would otherwise 'go to waste'. For the price, I would have expected the other half on my plate already. Just found this a bit odd. None the less, the food was lovely, my daughter enjoyed the sandwich, my husband enjoyed his, and my soup (Spiced Lentil) was absolutely delicious. We waited a while for someone to clear us when we had finished, and I ended up going to to bar area to order further drinks and cakes. My husband and I followed with a slice of cake each, the portions were generous and tasted good. My husband went to change our daughter's nappy and found that there was not a baby changing unit/nappy bin to use. All in all, a nice lunch, could be a bit more attentive but otherwise very friendly service and nice food.

Dessert was chocolate bread and butter pudding, yummy! and finally a selection of French cheeses..... all for £19.95. Very good value we thought. Nice to see the owner and his fiancée there for the entire evening also , making sure all was ok. Throughout the evening we had a Classical guitarist playing for us who was very good. We shall definitely return .

Sunday morning brunch just hit the spot after a walk. I had eggs benedict that was lovely , the kids had BLT and a panini . Nothing left on the plate so it must have been good . Alex went for the salmon and scrambled eggs , and rated it very highly . Service was swift and friendly . We were surprised how quiet it was . Rounded off with a really nice hot chocolate . We'll do this again soon.

Took a trip back in time today to see long lost and much loved friends. We had a very relaxing chat along with a lovely coffee and definitely the best carrot cake ever. The shortbread was also mouth watering. This place is so chilled. A little hidden gem. The décor is very trendy, modern and the staff very friendly. Just found out they have an evening tapas menu which looks very reasonable and delicious. Can't wait to come back for tapas and a nice glass of red.

Went here for a pot of tea for two, which was almost £6! Shocking expensive. Very gloomy inside and not sure how it can be called a deli considering its just a self with some pasta and jars. Service good though,

Called here for a coffee whilst visiting Nantwich for the annual food and drink festival. We were heading for another coffee shop on the same street, saw this and though we'd give it a try. Comfortable enough but not the most comfortable chairs. Coffees took a little time to come but they seemed to go to a great effort with very frothy cappuccinos and the Americano was great too. Wouldn't give it a five star but wouldn't have anything bad to say either. Nice setting on a little cobbled street just past the magnificent St. Marys church.

Was happy to find this lovely deli/tapas/café. Tried the selection of tapas and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and the variety. As a veggie I was glad there was still a wide range to choose from which isn’t always the case.

Nantwich is such an attractive proposition on a late summers day, so Mr Hughes and I headed into the charming town for a walk around it's cobbled streets. We came upon Relish, an attractive delicatessen near the church, in the middle of town. My husband and I, being past the partying age, but not the age of being appreciative of good quality, have tired of the usual coffee houses you find in every town centre these days, gave this establishment a try. What a find! We had a lovely sandwich and panini lunch with some excellent rioja wine. It was nice to see a small, family-friendly place, doing its best to compete with the larger, certainly less personal places nearby. I must say a huge thank you to Karen and Tia (?..sorry !) for looking after us so well. We promise to come back very soon!

My partner and I have just move to the area and thought 'relish' would be a good place for lunch. It is in a lovely location and much thought has gone into the design of the interior. The menu promises a lot but failed to deliver. I had a Cheshire beef sandwich with beetroot and horseradish relish, homemade coleslaw and green salad, oh and ubiquitous crisps on the side. The relish totally overpowered the beef so I could barely taste it and the coleslaw was very bitter. The salad was quite good thought some French dressing would have improved it. My partner had the three cheese salad. It was OK, but he also thought the coleslaw was bitter and said his small portion of potato salad was a tasteless. Overall we were very disappointed. On the bright side, the staff were very pleasant. Nantwich has lots of eateries mostly selling paninis, toasted sandwiches and baked potatoes so there really is a place for something a bit different. 'relish' could be it, but it needs to improve on a grand scale before it impresses us.

We have been going to Relish on a fairly regular basis, for coffee and cake, since it first opened. However, I ordered something for my 2 year old son today that I hadn't ordered before and was stunned at the extortionate price. I had a cappuccino and carrot cake, he had a small bottle of orange juice and a slice of loaf cake perfectly sized for his small 2 -year old frame and about half the size of my equally priced carrot cake. When I was given the total of £11.15 at the till I thought there had been a mistake! I suppose I should have looked at the prices before ordering but really didn't think a slice of loaf cake (£2.95) and a small bottle of OJ (£2.50) would have cost so much! The young, polite man that served us was understanding of my shock and said that other customers have complained about the prices - all credit to him for his honesty! What a shame, we were planning on sampling the tapas menu but I don't like feeling exploited and that is how I felt on paying that much for a coffee, a juice and 2 cakes. After all, this is hardly Convent Garden!

The place is in a good location but the food quality here is going down. The gammon ham is no longer gammon but cheap thin sliced rubbish. Paninis are not very appetising and the cakes are expensive. The breads are nice though and can't be faulted. You get the impression the place is in the end game. Shame really. It could be more interesting with a little imagination - although restricted on space. Lots of light but get rid of all the bricabrac that no one seems to buy!

I've had lots of food and drinks here and it's all been excellent! Freshly prepared on the premises, friendly waiter service and beautiful setting. Apart from daytime coffee, snacks and lunches, I've also enjoyed the seasonal Friday night tapas. A good selection of nice wines too, which makes this place unique.

My wife, son & I called in for an early lunch today (29.1.13) - it was very good indeed!! Nice decor, a feeling of spaciousness, although it was about two-thirds full. I had a sandwich of caramelised Mediterranean vegetebles with cheeky chilli salsa - fresh and tasty, and very good value for £4.75. My wife had the houmus and pitta ,and my son had a bacon & Brie panini, both of which they enjoyed. I hope to go back soon!

It's quite small so I tend to avoid it in the day as couldn't face going in with a pushchair but I have been in the evening with friends for some Tapas and bubbles. really lovely as you could pick and mix what you wanted so don't have to over order.

My wife and I called in on a Saturday evening for the tapas menu which is advertised outside. We should have been warned by the fact that we were the only diners! The place is lacking in any sort of atmosphere and the menu with which we were presented bore little or no relation to the tapas we have enjoyed in the past in Europe. In the hope of salvaging something from our visit we ordered four items from the starters section of the menu. The portions were small and bland and when we were asked by the sole waiter if we enjoyed our meal we told him of our disappointment and that it wasn't what we expected he commented "other people have said the same thing but the owner insists on doing things this way"Needless to say, we shall not return especially as the cost was, in our view, extortionate.

We normally head here for the lovely coffee, and for those tea lovers yes they serve that too. However we had Tapas recently and it was lovely, well cooked and fresh, lovely atmosphere. However not great value for money small portions, yes even for Tapas. Also you need to stock more wine not good running out and being served slightly chilled wine. This said we will be back but not for the Tapas.

Was on the way to Costa but decided to veer off to this little local gem...Glad we did :-) Lovely home made food (coleslaw was brilliant).. Obviously popular with regulars (very good sign). Coffee is much better than the chains too.. One message... patronise your local businesses or brilliant little places like this will not survive.. We have a choice folks!

We visited Nantwich for a weekend away with friends, we were recommended this little gem by some locals we met in a pub. We arrived and were greeted with such a warm welcome from the staff who were superb from the start. Its a Deli with a great selection of Wines and local produce but they specialise in Tapas at night time. This is my favourite type of food so I can be pretty critical having tried so many different Tapas bars here and in Spain, I can assure you the food was absolutely excellent!! We started with Champagne Sangria which was like summer in a glass and went perfectly with the setting and the fantastic menu. As there were 4 of us we sampled everything on the menu and I can honestly say there was not one dish I didnt want more of and that to me is what makes good Tapas!!The staff bent over backwards to make sure we had a lovely evening despite the resturant being full the whole time, it never felt busy, it has a great relaxed atmosphere and was quite romantic too despite being in a group.I recommend this place to anyone who visits Nantwich!!

We held a joint 60/80 party here and it was absolutely fantastic. The staff are brilliant and extremely helpful from all correspondence to the night. We had about 30 ppl for a small do and they were brilliant letting us come earlier even though half of our party did end up staying to the late! The food was exceptional the steak ale pie was devine and had our guests talking about it for weeks after! Compliments to the chef! Lovely party area, when decorated with balloons and banners it was a really good atmosphere, the bar were happy to play music on Spotify all night. Really spacious and just a really lovely evening. Great hospitality. Deffo worth considering for a function.

We used to live in Weaverham and often walked to the Riverside for a drink or food. They used to do 2 main courses for £10 which was good values for money. I know those days are now gone but after our recent visit I don’t think we will be returning. We booked a table for Sunday lunch for 4 people. We ordered drinks which came promptly and then ordered our food. We only ordered 4 mains, fish and chips, sea bass and 2 x steak and ale pies. We waited over an hour for our food, others who arrived after us received their food so we asked how long ours was going to take and were told they were just plating up. 10 minutes later we finally received our food. The fish and chips did look lovely and was a healthy portion size, the pies were well filled but mash potato was a bit on the small side. The main issue was the sea bass. There were 2 small fillets with a few crushed potatoes underneath, a spoonful of frozen peas, 2 green beans and 5 mange tout. Now for £17.95 I expected more. I’m not a big eater or a quick eater but I finished my meal first, and I knew I wouldn’t be full for long. How much do vegetables cost? Surely some carrots and tender stem broccoli wouldn’t break the budget? I did mention this and I was not charged for my alcohol free G&T, but I couldn’t wait to get home and have something to eat, disappointing.

Visited the Wilbrahams on my lunch break. I found everyone to be incredibly welcoming and friendly. There was a wide range of options on the food menu, I went with the grilled cheese sandwich and was not disappointed! Generous portions, great value for money and friendly staff.
