The timber yard is nice for a quick bite to eat, and if you have a dog like us, there is a room where you can sit, the main café is off limits for dogs. Be aware you will need your National trust membership to get into Lyme Park, or you will have to pay at the entrance gate.

It was great to have an option for doggy section. However this area was very cold if you have babies with you also. The doggy doorbell was a great idea. The wedges were awful like they had been kept warm for a lot longer than they should of been.

Cafe was cramp and service area is difficult to get into when busy. Food was reasonable but some better value options would be appreciated. Good dog area and I imaging a great location when warmer. In the winter and during the rain, a little too crowded inside and not very well laid out. Everyone stuck waiting for drinks and others unable to get served.

After having queued for an interminable eon; At the front of the queue I was told that a (recyclable) cardboard cup would be 15p extra. As opposed to a ceramic mug which would require a chemical clean in boiling water. Do people really buy this National (un)Trust(worthy) nonsense. Do they not see it for what it is - simply a further moneymaking scheme. The disposables are recyclable and they have cost NT vastly less than 15p each. Respond to this criticism NT, I would love to know how you can possible justify this exploitation of your members.

Actually when you get it the food and drink is excellent but the queues always seem annoyingly long, but then we always visit on school half term. Other tea rooms at Lyme Park also seem always full, so perhaps it's just because it's popular. I'm not sure how you could improve the service as I'm sure the staff are doing their best.

Nice little cafe away from the main hall serving snacks, drinks, ice cream and a selection of hot food, adjacent courtyard has plenty of tables for outside eating but also a few inside tables. Reasonably accessible. Separate area for doggy families. Handy for the toilets. Not so busy for me but it was a quiet time. Close to kids adventure playground but far enough away to dissipate the noise

Visited 25/10/2022, staff behind counter were fantastic and handle all requests for food and drink with ease, I would advise you if you visit and order food to take a look at the order number on the receipt, I put mine away without looking and missed the lady from the kitchen who brought the food out, until she checked with the counter team. The egg bap and luxury hot chocolate are recommended to get you going on your adventures on site, with seating indoors but plenty outdoors too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The food was good but there were a few issues: - queue was huge and wasn't going down quick - when we got a pasty out of the fridges and got to the front of the queue, we were told it couldn't be heated up and they only had 1 left - The soup didn't seem to be homemade but more like Heinz which is fine but didn't expect it based on other National Trust places But we still enjoyed it and there are plenty of seating options indoors and out.

Only got coffees but they were very nice only issues I saw were people queuing to get food then asked for a drink and was told they had to join the other que as one side did food the other side did drinks and ques were about 15 mins long so then having to join the other que for another 15 mins after getting food was not really a good set up... also it used to be 1 charge for a car or you could walk in for free but now its charged per person in each car and even the same charge if you walked down which was about £6 per person, I know it helps fund national trust but it makes it quite expensive to just go walk around the grounds and then have to pay again to go into the house or gardens..

I visited T cafe on 14 April for first time since the pandemic Before I got a pot of tea and hot water with a cup and saucer. This made 3 cups On 14 I got plastic cup of tea including tea bags My scone was dry and crumbled when cut, served on a plastic tray. I thought we were avoiding plastic to save the environment. The price for tea and scone with spread and jam was £5.05.I cannot recall the price I paid 4 years but..... This all fell well below the standard I expect from the NT David Thornton

If you're a regular business hotel user and familiar with Premier Inn, dont book this one. Go and stay at the Holiday Inn by the train station in town, as this place is dreadful in comparison. The rooms are tired, as in 80s tired, the staff are not bothered about keeping good housekeeping. Oh, and if you want breakfast before you're setting off in the morning, then don't expect anything before 7:15, or as reception happily commented, theyre never ready until 7:30. Dreadful place.
