Blue Ginger in Cheshire East

Having used blue ginger for a number of years, I will not use them again. Placed order in advance, but was late. I called to query and they were rude, arrogant and hung up. Food wasn’t much better either. AVOID

And tasted horrid, poor quality, the only upside was the smaller portions - as less in the bin. AVOID at all costs, plenty of other places in Poynton to get a curry from. I treated my Parents to a meal because we had a great day. I regretted coming to the Blue Ginger because they said the food would be ready in 25 minutes it ended up being 1 hour, also they tried to charge me £10 extra for nothing, then came home they missed a item would not recommend This takeaway to anyone would give 0 stars if that was a option go somewhere else don’t be disappointed that’s all I can say they have lost a customer until the get taken over. 😡 P.S staff was not friendly or sorry for anything

Everytime I order they forget to put something in. It's always something like a sauce or the dips for the poppadoms. It's a 6/10 takeaway before they forget to put things in. Stick to the appayon.

Used this place for years. Always great food. Today we ordered early for delivery when opened. They’ve just cancelled our order when they should be delivering it. No reason. No apology. DO NOT USE.

We ordered here for the first time and were so impressed. The food was delicious, the portions were big and the staff were very friendly. So much so we ordered from there again the following week and it was just as good!

Food is absolutely first rate. The chicken tandoori spinach is a personal favourite. Fantastic service highly recommend! I either phone or simply go down and order, I usually collect as the staff are so friendly

Ordered a takeaway took 1hour 40 minutes to deliver it rang 3times to see where it was . When it arrived it was warm very very salty and tasteless. Don't know what's happened unless it's been taken over by other people but it has definitely gone down hill unfair even the nan bread was just doughy and inedible popodums only thing worth eating will not be ordering from there again

we Had a lovely curry and side dishes it was very nice a little bit expensive for what we had however very tasty

Tried ordering food online at 2230. Email Order confirmation received. Turned up to see takeaway closed. Shocking. Tried calling, past to online chat which was useless. No food really unhappy. Don't use them

The service levels have improved vastly over the last couple of months, the food is great quality and the prices are superb. Love it here

What a disaster didn’t get what we ordered no salad no mint sauce no chilli sauce with kebab ordered poddadums and chutneys received Nan bread and chutneys not the 3 onion chutneys I ordered I knew when I ordered there would be a problem I was asked 4 times what we were ordering disappointed not going back again

Decided to order from here for a change from the bigger Indian in Poynton!! We will now always go here. It was the best Indian takeaway we’ve had for a while. Decent delivery time on a Saturday night and the food was still lovely and hot when it arrived. We loved every dish - popadoms and all the dips, chicken shashlik with a curry sauce side, chicken tikka pathia, saag paneer, rice, and a huge chapati. Really really good. I have to say my pathia was the best I’ve ever had!!!

Fantastic food and fantastic service, we particularly like the kebabs. We will be customers for many years.

Tried this place again … two hour delay from order to delivery. Their answer was that they were too busy to cope. Rang 3 times and just got told it was on the way when it wasn’t. Unreliable as always … never had a delivery on time

This is miles better than appayon and poynton pokora. U get ur moneys worth defiantly will be 100% goin here again

Avoid! After waiting 1hr 30 mins order was wrong. Items were missing and when we opened the items we had they were wrong too!! Called back to get told to wait again-2 hrs 30 mins this went on for! Got told I couldn’t have a refund as the food was “no good” to them as it had been opened! Don’t waste your time!

Absolutely lovely curry. The only problem being that u order for a specific time and they deliver when they are ready... Usually about 30 minutes before you asked for.

Poor delivery service waiting can be up to 2 hours food really nice though but off putting having such a long wait even when phoning the shop to see where it was

We headed here following Facebook recommendations. The service stood out as being friendly and efficient, with a focus on technology. I have held off 5* as I think some Indian restaurants just stand above others and, whilst no discourtesy is intended, this didn't leave that sort of impression. That is certainly no slight, though, and we would gladly go back.

Amazing Currys, by far the best within 5 miles of Poynton.

My daughter ordered a takeaway on Saturday. As usual, the food was excellent but the packaging left me furious. The two curries were in foil trays but the mixed grill was in an insulated bag, the same as the pashwari naan. This split while I was carrying it to the table, spilling sauce onto my hands and a white linen tablecloth. Fortunately I had insulated oven gloves on (brand new, £20) so was not burned but they and the tablecloth are badly stained. So annoying and so unnecessary.

We had a fabulous takeaway (delivery) meal from Blue Ginger recently. The menu is varied with a good selection of traditional dishes alongside more unique dishes. All the dishes we had were generous in size, and really tasty. There was no skimping on the ingredients either, with plenty of lean and tender meat in the meat dishes, and lots of vegetables in the veggie ones. The rice portions are huge! We ordered online, with the meal delivered on time (and quickly). We’ll definitely be having another meal from Blue Ginger soon.

First time takeaway from here will not be going again warmed up chips and bargi dry chicken and tough cannot reccomend sorry guys £40 wasted

Outstanding and varied menu with dishes not usually found at normal Indian takeaways. A warm welcome from the staff. Tasty cuisine expertly cooked. Very highly recommended - and deserves to do very well. Give it a try - I promise that you will be back for more.

Service was slow and I was overcharged by almost 30%. Which unfortunately we didn't notice until we got home and then it was shut for the day.

Very dissapointing. Opened as gatley tandoori few months ago and was expensive but well worth the money as food was awesome... Then an apparent change of ownership (although all logo, branding, telephone number etc) stayed the same. The expensive prices also stayed the same. The only thing that changed was the quality of the food which went from amazing to bang average at best... If you go here you will pay for silk and get cotton!
