I ordered chicken jalfrezi, phall hot with extra green chillis. The flavour was full with good body and plenty of heat... excellent, thank you. More green chilli next time please 👍🏼

I have ordered from here since it opened. Good quality food. I sometimes try other takeaways but always return to crewe spice. Staff always polite and always flexible when ordering.

My husband collected food for me tonight, both the service and the food were impeccable. I cannot recommend them enough.

Attention to all students and doctors residing in Booth Hall. I would like to bring an unexpected matter to your attention regarding this restaurant that you may want to reconsider ordering from. Recently, I had an unpleasant experience with the staff who usually receives the call. He was extremely rude and unprofessional towards me. The staff accused me of disturbing him every day by repeatedly asking for spicy food, and was annoyed by my calls due to poor network connectivity. He even suggested that I change my network operator. I called the restaurant only to inquire about the estimated delivery time to Booth Hall. I have ordered food from this restaurant thrice through Uber Eats, and since the food is delivered by their own staff, Uber Eats cannot track the live status of the delivery. Being aware of the network issues in Booth Hall, I called the restaurant each time to understand when the delivery would reach the gate, so that I could be there to pick up the food. I am disappointed by the conduct of the staff and will no longer be ordering food from this restaurant. I hope this information helps you make an informed decision about ordering from this restaurant.

Absolutely shocking service. Ordered via Deliveroo and was advised 40 min delivery time. It took 1 hour 45 mins to arrive and was tasteless. Do not order not worth the money. This was always our favourite take away but something’s gone very wrong food and service is now shocking!!

Avoid at all cost. Delivery took over an hour and a half! Rang at 7:30pm which was 30 minutes later than it should have been delivered. Spoke to the guy and he said the driver was on the way. Called back half an hour later for him to to say its still cooking! Then when I challenged the guy on the phone I could hear him in the background saying "shall I just cut him off" then the phone went dead! What a joke!

Waited 90mins for food and was so let down. We ordered a chicken tikka masala and it tasted like soap. The chicken tasted like it was boiled and the sauce was nothing like a masala I have ever had. It was sickly sweet and like water. Won’t be ordering food from there again.

Tried the set meal for the first time in a couple of years as it was cheap but won’t be doing again as most of it went straight in the bin.

I've placed several orders with Crewe Spice over time and each and every one has been delivered very late, even after contacting the shop. Placed an order tonight, and after waiting for the delivery, try'd to contact them by phone 12 times and hung up on each time! They have lost my custom from now on. Extremely poor service.

Been using this place for years. Chicken was burnt. The sauce was like dish water in the tikka massala. And I ordered dips with the popudoms that you always get to recieve non. Lost my custom forever. Really shocked as this place rocked.

Family take away. Unfortunately I will never use this curry house again. Chicken Tikka Massala was a red watery mess and tasted like someone and put a jar of sugar in the sauce. Then to top it off my daughter bites into her naan bread to almost break her teeth, I have no idea how she didn't. A massive rock in the naan bread. ? Absolutely disgusted she could have choked.

Food was disgusting got chicken tikka main meal it was plain chicken with red dye totally tasteless so it also got” korahi”chicken not much chicken mainly onions and again totally tasteless rice was old an sticky man bread was ok 🤷🏼‍♂️absolutely avoid this place

Food 2 hours late, cold and tasteless. Phone was taken off the hook so couldn't chase up food.

We came to visit my parents today and we try different takeaways everytime we come over and this is by far the best takeaway I have had from all the ones we have tried over the years! Also the first one I have felt the need to leave a positive review for. All the food was hot, the portion size was great, really tasty and all the meat was really tender. Even the sauces for the poppadoms were really tasty. We will be ordering again soon!

First time we have ordered from Crewe spice. Food arrived promptly, sooner than expected! The food was piping hot, packaged well and presented nicely. Garlic pilau was tasty, both the korma & tikka masala were hot and tasted so nice with plenty of chicken which was cooked nicely. Definitely will be ordering, thankyou ☺️

Came to Crewe Spice on a recommendation and so glad I did, absolutely amazing food fresh ingredients and piping hot upon delivery. Used to go to their competitors across the road and I can honestly say that this will be my new take out. Thank you so much for amazing food, service and overall friendliness I will be a returning customer and will most definitely recommend you to friends and family.

Very happy with my takeout. Upon collecting I found that the kitchen was very clean and organised. For me, hygiene is a major part of eating out/ take out. I found the chefs very attentive in what they were doing and liked they wore hats ( which I believe should required in catering) it was very reassuring, and one thing that stood out was that you can see them cooking from the counter, nothing hidden. You can see the passion with the chefs cooking. I also love the fact that I was waiting on the food for a little bit ( as they were still cooking it!!) and saw them pour the food into the trays. Lovely food of course! The chicken is always so tender end succulent- perfectly done!! Flavours are very authentic and tasty, so many aromas and fresh flavours. Best Indian I’ve actually tasted, and I am very hard to please when it comes to food! I don’t leave reviews usually but I had to with this, compliments to the chef!! Thank you! Definitely will be returning

Not the greatest Indian food I've had, I'm not giving it a one purely because the chicken tikka was nice and the chicken nuggets and the lady over the phone was nice whereas the supposed authentic "traditional Indian food" was poor.... no... awful. I have recently moved from the Middle East, where the Indian food lives up to satisfaction and makes you feel warm, which you need here rather than there. The food I ate from Crewe Spice, DID NOT make me feel warm at all. I ordered a chicken Korma and asked the lady for it to be "medium" spice and it tasted like coconut milk. I also ordered a Paneer masala, which is is 'medium' spice and tasted sugar granules. I am now curious to what they consider as 'high' spice. I have no clue why the food tasted sweet, but it was not appetising, I would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! For future recommendation, maybe make India food taste like Indian food, change the recipes or just stick with making non Indian food. I probably won't order again from this place, if anyone has suggestions for other Indian restraints in Crewe let me know.

Hands down, one of THE BEST, and authentic curry houses I have ever ordered from. Their food has a taste of Bengal. As someone who knows and understands the desi palette, you won’t regret it ordering from this place. From the outside looking in, the place is VERY clean and fresh. Their side dishes are just as good as their main courses. Amazing food!!

After being let down at a restaurant across the road due to overcrowding, we decided to use Crewe Spice, very friendly staff, watching the chefs preparing food was very interesting, food was absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for a lovely meal. John from Devon visiting Crewe for the weekend.

The food is excellent and very good value. Delivery people very pleasant and courteous. Delivered mostly within the hour but if slightly later on occasion its still worth waiting for.

My wife ordered some food from here over the telephone on 4/8/20 it was very quick service delivered to our house in Crewe , when starting to eat it if you are a diabetic it would be a great choice to order a korma ,if you have not got a sweet tooth I DO advise you not to order from this place because it tastes like a bag of sugar . A full bag of sugar if you understand my expression ....

I cannot believe i have been here for 5 years and haven't discovered this amazing wonderful restaurant that delivers hot fantastic takeaways. i have tried alot. this restaurant/takeaway is wonderful. the best takeaway i have had since moving her 5 years ago. well done . your doing a great job. i and my son and partner really enjoyed this takeaway. as good as sitting down for a meal in the restaurant i have no doubt i am sure.

Weve been having our Indian food from here now for months and have not been disappointed at all. Every order has arrived in good time, by friendly staff, even during lockdown they continue to deliver excellently. Now to the food...it is fresh, excellent quality produce, always piping hot and cooked to any taste. The rice and breads are excellent. Sundries are tasty amd always fresh too. We are really looked after when we call. They know our tastes now and theres usually a free starter and or popadums included too. Specials are good but so to are the traditional dishes. Walked in looking for a garlic chilli chicken curry , was recommended at the till to try the South Indian Chicken Tikka Mirchi, and wow am I glad I did ! Seriously one of the nicest curries I've ever tasted , will 100% go back for another

Best Indian takeaway in Crewe. Tried loads before I found this and now we don't go anywhere else. I'm working my way through the menu and so far everything I've tried has been decent. Friendly service and alway deliver when they say they will. Top notch.

I just received my Indian take away for myself and my pregnant partner we have had to throw it in the bin the chicken was so dry but the rice had very bad smell like bad water I didn’t want her eating it and the bit I did eat has left a horrible taste in my mouth hate to leave a bad review like this but I feel it’s so unfair when people have to save for a treat then receive bad food like this

Placed a order online as it worked out cheaper than ordering via Just Eat and I was surprised to see an estimated delivery time of 45 mins...I thought that would be amazing if they were close to delivering around that time. Unfortunately after an hour it still hadn't arrived so I called the take away to ask how long. I was told that they had just recieved an order for £60 and they were struggling to get that order out...but it would be leaving within 5-10 mins. It finally arrived 1 hour and 45 mins after I placed my order so 1 hour longer than expected. I don't mind 10-15 mins but an hour is not acceptable. I expected maybe a few freebies thrown in (extra popodoms etc.) but nothing. The food was fantastic but the wait has definitely put me off from ordering from here again. I'll stick with the local Haslington Tandoori who deliver when they say they will and that is usually around 45 mins no matter how busy they are.

3 stars for the Wednesday deal great value for money BUT... the chicken tikka masala 😭 no Spice even though it says crewe SPICE, Please note if you got a masala on it's own you would be basically eating chicken and tomato soup :( shame. But EVERYTHING WAS COOKED :) Passage of Indian a couple of doors down the street do the very best Chicken Tikkas in the hole of crewe!

Absolutely fab food at this place, all cooked in front of you. It is impeccably clean, the food is prepared by chefs who know exactly what Indian Bangladeshi food should be like and all dishes look and taste different.delivery is quick and the staff are very friendly, Try the Chicken Chat it is on another level! Wow what can I say stayed one night for work found this on way home. Staff friendly warm welcoming. Such a great idea watching your food being cooked in front of you. The quality of the food was fresh and so tasty definitely recommend.

By far the best Indian takeaway that we have tried in Crewe or Nantwich, and we have tried a fair few! The set menu was amazing value for money and seemed to include anything you could want as an option. We were expecting the portions to be smaller or the quality to be decreased but were very pleasantly surprised! Food arrived in only 43 minutes and was still red hot. Would definitely recommend

My daughter ordered for us all on this occasion and was really happy as had many different options to taste. The service was excellent from when she phoned to the delivery service. Well 5 star rating I don't think so I am not impressed with this restaurant the chicken korma very bad the chicken has fat and grizzly bits very water based the worst curry IV ever had I won't be coming back ever again the other meal was a mixed saag the lamb was greasy and not a nice taste from it only the special rice was OK very disappointed

I've been here more times then i like to admit but the food is amazing every time I've found a few dishes to be a little spicy for me but everything is always great and highly recommend trying not to mention the set meal is sensational value

I went here for a quick on the go dinner between trains and so glad I did. They knew I was coming at around 10 but held off to make sure it was fresh and hot for when I got round to eating it. I got the Chicken Chat Massala Roll, and even though they held off to ensure fresh food for me, they also gave me some extras for free because of the wait. The Chicken Chat Massala Roll was so good, and I whenever passing through Crewe and the changeover time allows, I will visit again and again!

The best indian takeaway in Crewe, all the food is freshly prepared and cooked right in front of you as you wait, food tastes great and staff very friendly, they always remember your face. Delivery service is a bonus and very efficient.

We tried this new take away recently and it was an excellent experience all round. The food is cooked in full view of the customers by the very friendly chefs. Our meals were simply fabulous. Hot, fresh and cooked to perfection. My son can be a little fussy about where his Indian food is from, but there was no complaints from him! We will definitely be revisiting Crewe Spice again soon.
