Made an order for a specific time but delivered it early as I had then said to delivery driver it was early then returned the same food but seemed like they warmed it up and returned the same order as within minutes of serving the food it was cold especially with it being prawns then didn't feel well the next day. Never returning as was a waste of money.

The service was good and the food all round a good quality. Best meat samosas I have had in years.

We were on a two week cruise on a narrowboat which included stopping at Middlewich. We love Indian food so it's often one of the first things we look for when looking at where to eat. The young girl that welcomed us is so very polite and friendly. She really made us feel welcome and kept us well informed of the menu etc. She's an asset to the restaurant! The food was absolutely spot on! Arrived hot, beautifully made and was full of flavour. I seem to remember another reviewer mentioning bland? Well ours definitely was not! I've eaten a lot of curries in my time, Bradford, Manchester and our local Indian street of restaurants in South Shields (Ocean Road.) So I know a good curry. The food was 10 out of 10! We had a chat with the guy who said he wasn't the chef. I don't know if he was the owner but he was also very polite and friendly. If we are ever in Middlewich again, we certainly know where to eat! :)

We had a reasonable curry in a nice setting but it's a pity they don't serve alcohol and I had to go to a shop down the road for a bottle of wine to have with our meal. On the plus side,Evie, the waitress who served us was really good. She was very friendly and we really had service with a smile. I would recommend the place just because of her!

Do not use of you have a dietary preference or an allergy. Incorrect food sent out and labelled incorrectly. I telephoned Blue Ginger to make them aware and they offered a replacement. The replacement sent was again meat and labelled as vegetarian. Will not be ordering again.

A few minutes before 5PM 24/1/24 I ordered two meals , popadoms and nan bread. We were told 20 to 30 minutes so arrived at 5:25 and had to wait 15 mins more for the nan bread. It was under cooked and cold. I ordered a chicken tikka biryani and it said chi biryani (which had a full egg in it)? Was also served Biryani SOS?? which I had not ordered. The three popadoms were stale. I have photos of this lot if you have an email address Tried to submit a review on website and it was thrown back because it had special characters (even though I had removed them).

Food is always quality, just not enough people go in.

First time here. Had to nip off to tesco on entering as we found out you need to bring your own alcohol. But as we live overseas where it’s commonplace we are used to this so not a problem for us. The service and food was delicious ! Had chicken tikka dansak and lamb jalfrezi. Peshwari nan and onion Bahji. The portion sizes were perfect. We often get way too much at other restaurants and hate seeing it go to waste but here we ate everything. I gave a 4 star for atmosphere as would be nice to have some Indian style music playing like at other restaurants. Other than that very enjoyable meal .

Food lovely as always. Service was brilliant, a happy smiling face on your waiter always makes your evening nice. Well done.

Used to be be fantastic food and customer service unfortunately now its late, flavourless and the girl on the phone is extremely rude and lacks basic manners.

The food was not bad but it was bland. The naan was also undercooked and cold. The sagaloo was good but curries were disappointing. True story would not recommend

Once again, as with several other Indian restaurants I've visited over the past few months, the base curry sauce appears to be 'made to go further' as if some thinking agent like cornflour has been added. You know the difference when just onion base had been used.

Collected food this evening. Food 10mins late (which I didn’t mind) except when it is stone cold. Like literally stone cold, samosa felt like they had come straight from the fridge. Nann bread was wet and soggy couldn’t eat it. Chicken in all three dishes dry and chewy no one ate it . A serious 1/10 the food was dire I’m afraid. It’s Saturday night and not a single person in the restaurant… I’m not really surprised after trying the food. It’s less than a 2minute drive home so it didn’t get that cold in transport. So bad it wasn’t even worth a phone call to the restaurant to try and rectify it as we didn’t want to have another round of food from them. Straight in the bin.

My wife took me to the Blue ginger this evening as a meal for my birthday it has no bar so advised by staff when booking to fetch our own alcohol which we did a bottle of wine and 4 cans we ain't our meal which was nice but as soon as we finished eating we were being rush out of the door we were the only 2 in the whole restaurant we only had time to have one drink each the waitor came cleared the table fetched the bill without us asking then pointed to the bottle of wine and said you can take that home if you like I said o OK thank you he then asked if we would like a bag and fetched one over and gathered up our nearly full bottle of wine and the remainder 3 cans and placed them in the bag we didn't even have time for our meal to settle I could understand if it was busy bur like I said it was just Me and the wife in the whole place we arrived at 18.30 and was out by just after 19.30 it just all felt very uncomfortable at the end I think we will head out of town in the future.

Bland watered down curries tasted like boiled onion and spices! won't be ordering again!

We were very happy with all 4 of our takeaway meals this evening. Its our first time ordering from Blue Ginger and we're giving 5* for hot🔥 food, great taste, decent portions, served on time, whats not to like! 👍

Had a lovely meal here tonight but the restaurant was very quiet. In fact we were the only diners! Guess maybe because it was a Tuesday evening.

Had a very disappointing takeaway from Blue Ginger tonight. Although the rice, naan and bhajis were good, the curries we ordered (south Indian garlic lamb & prawn dopiaza) lacked flavour, spice and heat. They tasted exactly the same and both went uneaten. Such a shame as Blue ginger had come highly recommended.

Takeaway meals 2 separate orders curry absolutely full of water madras curry tasted of absolutely nothing drained more than a cup of water off it before putting it straight in bin as well as Nan bread rice and only eddible item was the chips almost £50.00 wasted telephoned and was told he would give me a free madras curry next time blamed staff shortages disgraceful needless to say will not be going back

Lovely fresh food and attentive staff

Me and my partner were staying in Middlewich for his work training. We were looking for a place to sit in and eat which didn’t break the bank and accommodated a vegetarian. Although the restaurant itself was a little quiet, we couldn’t fault the meal. The lamb starter was so fresh and literally came out sizzling in the hot plate. I asked for the garlic chilli masala (listed only as a meat dish on the menu) but with Quorn chicken instead and our waiter very happily obliged. It was one of the best curries I’ve had in a while, a lovely balance of sweet and spicy. I would recommend Blue Ginger to anyone who enjoys good service and great food.

Well what can I say?? I’m gutted this restaurant has stopped serving alcohol, food is good, but you now have to walk around middlewich looking like a alcoholic tramp with booze in a bag!!!!! ☹️

Great service and exceptional food

Really just popped in for a quick dinner but was impressed with this plce. The restaurant is modern , clean looking with sensible back-ground music. Pappadums were good and my main of sylehti chicken was excellent tasting exactly as described on the menu and obviously individually spiced. The rice was also perfectly cooked which is nor something one can always say about indian restaurants. Pricing was sensible.

This place used to be amazing. Has deteriorated over the last few years but was still OK. Had a takeaway tonight and everything was very bland, the curries didn't even taste like they had any spices in. You couldn't tell they were curries, just chicken in tomatoes. Very disappointed.

I've been with my wife many times to dine in and its always been excellent. Attentive staff who cater for my wife's dietary requirements (coeliac) and for my preference regarding high/hot heat levels. We've never had a bad dine in meal or experience there but haven't ordered a take away so can't comment from that perspective. Definitely recommended.

Food arrived cold!.. big shame!

Giving this meal a 1 star is too much. Just had a meal from Blue Ginger and I have to say I will never order again. The food wasn't hot for a start the curry's that I ordered which was a mixed meat massala should have had king prawns and there was no prawns included, also it was only half full. The other was a chicken tikka balti,the chicken was like a pack you buy from the supermarket already made and just added to a very watery bland curry sauce that was over powered with coriander. Very disappointed as this was a monthly treat.

Good meal had here. Food was excellent and plentiful. Wine was great, prices not bad either. Had a tandoori mixed grill and I would have it again. Recommended.

Never again will I order from this restaurant I ordered my meal for 7 o’clock arrived at my door after several phone calls later at 9:15 he made every excuse going then told me the delivery vehicle had broke down, when it eventually arrived it was warm but not hot and chips were soggy, didn’t look very nice so in the bin it went I then contacted them and he said I’m sorry I’ll give you 10% off your next order, yeah right well since a previous order didn’t turn up thought I’d give you the benefit of the doubt but never again. Obviously this order was prepared for 7 & you’ve left it & then delivered it to me 2 hrs 15 mins later ! Very bad customer service !

Rubbish food, completely tasteless

Our family of six adults visited Blue Ginger in Middlewich last night, 8th October, and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. First impressions...clean and well lit with modern furniture, tables set beautifully. Staff were friendly and attentive, drinks soon came and orders taken. The menu was extensive, mainly the usual dishes found in Indian restaurants, which suited us. This is not a gourmet restaurant with exotic and unusual dishes, it is a restaurant that produces really good-quality everyday dishes. Every dish was well presented and well cooked. The Peshwari naan bread was easily the best I've ever eaten in any restaurant - fresh, soft, warm, just the right amount of sweetness and taste of coconut. The pilau rice smelt fragrant and tasted just right, each grain of rice separate. Even basic dishes like my Lamb Rogan Josh contained good-quality chunks of lean lamb (not disguised chicken, as in some places), and the tomatoes and onions were all freshly sliced and cooked, and clearly not out of some frozen pack. This restaurant pays attention to detail and uses fresh ingredients. It offers excellent value for money and is highly recommended.

I moved away from Middlewich years ago but my mum still lives there which gives me the perfect opportunity to keep coming back to the Blue Ginger. The menu is great with all the traditional British Indian restaurant curries alongside a number of specials you simply don't find anywhere else. Have been through the entire menu and loved everything I've ever eaten here but mum and I settled on the shashlik bhuna as our absolute favourite. If you love rich masala type dishes with a lot of sauce can highly recommend. It is my favourite Indian restaurant despite having worked my way round many in London and Manchester which are great but not up to this standard on the food front. The staff are always attentive and happy to make recommendations and talk through what they've got on the menu if you're unsure. I do not understand some of the 1 star reviews as they do not even vaguely reflect my experience and I've been here dozens of times. Perhaps telling in most cases it's the only review written by those individuals - bitter competition perhaps? Give this place a go, have a fabulous meal then go for a drink in the White Bear after...

You have to give one star to enable you to write about you experience, however it is not worth that. Ordered a Chicken Tikka main course, a Chicken Tikka Biryani and 2 nann breads. Opened the chicken tikka expecting cubes of white meat, oh no was a small piece of thigh and one drumstick, I hate dark meat or anything on the bone but thought, it is what it is. Started to take the meat off the thigh and the chicken wasn’t cooked, didn’t touch the drumstick. Son started to eat biryani, was gagging as chicken was full of gristle, half of the nann was just raw dough. Will not use again. I did get a full refund.

Had a range of curry's and can only say they were very good. Monkfish Massala and King Prawn Naganchi were my personal favourites. Staff were extremely friendly and happy to help us. We weren't sure on starters so the chef put together a taster plate for us completely off the menu.

Absolutely smashing curry, won’t find better service and taste in the whole of Cheshire. Should be busier than it is, really cannot fault anything there. Will Be back!

Over priced for a takeaway service and nothing really to shout about food is average

Seriously people do not order from these online!! Told 40 mins, eventually arrived 2 hours later & was cold and not correct! Communication would have been good but nothing 🤷🏼‍♀️ Disastrous curry at home would have been better going to somewhere else!!

We dined here courtesy of Rishi and really enjoyed our meal - some different dishes to try, the duck starter was particularly delicious. Service really friendly although was a bit sluggish but it was busy. Would dine here again.

Despite having a card machine perfectly serviceable and within reach, I was told it was cash only... to comply with the social distancing in force. The member of staff looked bewildered when I asked how on earth was I supposed to pass him the cash then?? This is clearly a scam to cash-in on the ‘eat out to help out’ spirit set out be the government. Poor service... unhelpful staff... quite glad I ate out elsewhere.

Meal was just after the lock down of restaurants and we pre-booked for 19:00pm. Lovely food and genuinely great, attentive, friendly, helpful service. They couldn't do enough for us.My wife is a Coeliac (wheat intolerant), who prefers a mild, creamy strength curry. They were absolutely wonderful in recommending and cooking a virtually bespoke meal for her. If you are a Coeliac then this place is heaven.Beyond that I'm a hot curry (phall stength) lover and the meal that I had was also beautiful. Really good quality, to my bespoke high heat and plenty of it.My wife and I can't recommend this restaurant enough. They also do take away meals.

Delightful food and always served with a big smile

Ordered a makani, it was tasteless and if it was a makani it was anemic. On the plus side saag aloo and onion bhagas were really good

What a load of rubbish meals were bland and boring, trays half empty rice half empty naans especially keema or should it be what keema bland overall completely unimpressed ,wouldn't recommend it won't be ordering again worth 0 stars

We ordered via just eat and then spoke to the restaurant to confirm our order asked how long it would be they said 1 and a half hours 2 hours later no food called again they said sorry would be another 20 mins not happy but waited 20 mins later still no food called again they said it was out for delivery and would be 15 mins now it's been 3 and a half hours since we ordered no food delivered not good very angry wont go again

First time we have ever ordered a take away, due to the current circumstances we are in I understand you are extra busy with deliveries , but we ordered on just eat at 10am for a delivery of 7:10pm, it came at 9:45, we tried to ring and cancel about 50 times but didnt answer,we fed the kids something else and then the delivery came, just eat even said it had been delivered at 830

Not impressed with blue ginger waited 3 and a half hours still no food despite them.saying was on way 3 time now no answer at restaurant disappointing to say the least

Good tasty food and the price is pretty average. The beer is a bit expensive though.

First take away from here this evening and it was delicious! It was recommended to us by a friend and I would definitely recommend it to anyone else.

Bland jam jar food. Tried three different curry meals all tasted same. No passion goes into there cooking it's cooked to take the Harry out of us. Have go out of town now get a decent curry meal. I gave 1 star for naan bread 👎

5 of us service good nice and clean. Chicken dishes well cooked and tasty advised on how much rice we needed which was accurate. Free drinks and chocolate arrived with the bill. Tap water now available. Lovely meal enjoyed by all.

Just had a meal delivered and it is absolutely fantastic. Mixed starter.. onion baghi Chilli and garlic masala with chicken which melts in your mouth Defiantly recommend

First of all we got the wrong meals ! Ordered tikka masala and got corma. And the food we did get was very bland and hardly any chicken to be seen and very runny sauce like water. Wouldn’t give it one star but that’s the lowest you can go . Avoid this place far better Indian near Tesco.

Had a delivery from Blue Ginger a few weeks ago and found myself back in the same area - decided to do a collection order.If I was ever asked to define 'polite' I'd send people here. Courteous, friendly, welcoming . . . I could go on.On top of that the food is excellent, freshly prepared and at a price you really can't complain about. Not eaten in yet - but there's still time and I shall make that time.How this polace is only 12 out of 19 places to eat (at time of writing this) is a total mystery to me.

Went out with a group, the staff were friendly & helpful, the food was tasty. I didn't know what to expect, it looks tiny from the outside, but it's bigger than you think. The menu choices were good, although not as many veggie options as you usually see in an Indian restaurant. The Rogan Josh that I had was really tasty & one friend commented their meal was SUPERB !! will def go again.

Stopped in Middlewich on our Narrowboat. Blue Ginger looked nice so we decided to give it a go.Let’s start with the pickles that came with the popadums. Three were homemade and the chilli jam was sublime. A good start.Lemon rice was exquisite. Naan was fresh and fluffy.I had Granny’s Lamb Madras. Boy did she do us favour for passing on the recipe. Spicy, flavoursome and hot!My wife had the Chicken Shatlack, probably not the right name but the bottom one on the specials. Chickpea, tomato and chicken had a sweet taste to it that provided balance to the Madras.Impeccable service and presentation. Loved it

We have been to Blue Ginger a few times, and this visit was the same as always - good quality, tasty food served in a friendly and pleasant atmosphere.The pickle tray was great, starters were hot and fresh and main courses were top notch (see photos).Blue ginger is always clean, neat and welcoming - a very pleasant way to enjoy some delicious spicy food.Highly recommended.

Having visited the town today for the FAB fest we ate in here this evening as a family and were not impressed.

Fantastic vegan curries, one of the best I’ve ever had. We head vegetable rogan, Bhuna, veg curry, vegetable rice.

Yet again a wonderful meal at this our favourite Indian restaurant. Good food, friendly service, and excellent value

Late delivery, rang to enquire and told it had left 5 minutes ago! Must of gone the long way round! Naan bread, chapati and rice stone cold.

This was the best Indian style food we have ever had. It was fresh unique and so tasty; and the staff were very friendly and professional. Top drawer.

Went with wife and Sister for dinner. The restaurant has happily changed ownership. The last time I had meal there a couple of years ago I was highly dissatisfied. However, the current menu has a number of dished that I haven't seen before. All three of us enjoyed our food. Will definitely be back.

The order was not correct however one call to the team and it was resolved in a few minutes. Great service.

Have been a few times and have never been disappointed. The food is always tasty and fresh with reasonable prices and friendly service. The restaurant can be a bit quiet at times but don’t let that put you off, it’s worth calling in!

I will never buy from this restaurant again. I wouldn't of minded if they were truthful and told me they were running late but every time I rang them they told me they had "just left", so that mean they had "just left" 3 times. When the food finally arrived it was cold. I paid by goggle pay but i wish I hadn't as i would of just refused delivery

Ate early so the restaurant was quiet. Good service, food was excellent. Nothing else to say really. Oh the beer was great too.
