What an amazing find! Such a great restaurant with a nice atmosphere, wonderful friendly staff and a brilliant menu. They cater for vegan/plant based diets and gluten intolerances too. The menu has a few vegan option including biryani, saag bhaji and a chickpea and spinach curry. Highly recommend if you’re a vegan. The food is so damn tasty!

DON’T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS PLACE! IT IS VILE, WOULD’NT EVEN FEED TO MY DOG!!! If I could rate -0 I would. Haven’t seen anybody in there for a good while due to the disgusting food and service. I was charged double the price to what was on the menu. The Samoa’s were like veg and meat in a Victoria sponge. Meat was rotten. We was given mocktails when we ordered cocktails. The only good thing was the chutney tray which we told them we didn’t want. GOT NOTHING BUT ABUSE JUST FOR GOING IN THERE! £60 for 2 Curry sauces and 2 rices and 2 samosas which were the worst we’ve ever tried. WE’VE HAD BETTER IN THE YE OLD TOWN OF BLACKPOOL AND WAS HALF PRICE. Don’t even want to walk past again as the staff were so aggressive. If you want the pictures comment.

If could rate zero, I would. No wonder no one was in that restaurant. Poor service. Chicken smelt like it was rotten. Over charge - given me items I hadn’t ordered. Don’t bring items I didn’t ask for in future!

This was our most favourite Indian Restaurant, but recently the service has gone downhill, the last time we visited we were told we couldn't enter at 9-30pm because they shut at 10pm, last night we booked a table for 9pm and no sooner had we sat down we was told they needed our order quickly, we spent almost £100 between four of us the food was lovely but we felt extremely rushed which spoilt our experience.

ordered food on June 10th that never came. I've waited and waited for a refund and today they have told me its been refunded into my bank and its an issue my end. Absolutely no care for a customer that's used them regularly for a very long time. Hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. Also hope it's worth it to them for £30 to loose a customer that always promoted there restaurant to family and friends.

The food is absolutely delicious and it has a 5 out of 5 on the FSA score in the window.

We visit here regularly, always fantastic food and service. Best curry in Sandbach! We particularly enjoy the cheesy garlic naan. Jay is always very welcoming and accommodating. We can’t recommend Ganges highly enough, we love it!

Despite being a regular customer every weekend I was shocked by the way I was spoken to by the duty manager.apparantly it was my fault I ordered a takeaway when all the staff were taking a break following fasting. I was told I should have had a snack!!! And should give them thought and consideration!! Despite ordering at just gone 7pm my order arrived at 9.25,cold and clearly it had been stood for a while. I was continually fobbed off with delivery times and excuses via the app then spoken to rudely by the duty manager... Shocking service and won't be returning with any future orders

Went with my son and son-in-law. We all had a fabulous meal. Service excellent. One of our regular places now!

As a frequenter of restaurants, I have to say this place is my absolute favourite. The food is nothing short of exceptional. I recommend the Bombay chips, Chingri ballachong & the fried paneer but there is nothing bad on the menu (believe me, I’ve tried it all). The staff and the service is amazing, the interior decor has a sophisticated yet homely feel, The Ganges is an absolute must try if you are in and around the Sandbach area.

We visited here for a family party last night and had such a lovely meal. Everyone who works here was so kind to us and attentive, you’d never have known the restaurant was full with the service we got. The curry was delicious and we didn’t wait long as a big group. I’ll definitely be coming here again. Really impressed, thank you for a lovely night.

Would give it lower if I could, ordered food at 6 message to say would be with us by 7.30, after a phone call finally arrived at 8.20. Was it worth the wait no food ice cold and awful never using again steer clear people.

An excellent curry house for all tastes. It was a bit quite when we went, but it was bonfire night so assumed everyone was out at fireworks displays.

Food is nice, but the portion size for the price is abysmal. We spent £40 and neither of us are full. Call us spoilt, but £20 in manchester feeds 2 with food left over. There was barely half a chicken breast (4/5pieces) in a full curry! Shocking. Bet these guys live in an absolute mansion. Feeling ripped off. Food was tasty. But no better than curry mile. I can't see any reason not to go there next time.

I ordered a Rogan Josh with poppadoms and a garlic naan. The food arrived quickly. The naan was tasty but lukewarm. The Rogan Josh was very disappointing, it was very watery and bland with overcooked meat. I'll go somewhere else next time.

Very mediocre, food either tasted oily or was watery. Portion sizes were smaller than average. I wouldn't choose again if given an option. Delivery was good and on time.

Ate in the restaurant. First time since before covid. As before amazing food and service. Jay made us feel very welcome and relaxed and wasn't rushing us in any way. Starters x2 mains x2 and all sides fresh and piping hot. Thank you. We are returning in a month or so. 5 star 🌟

I wrote a full review on just eat this morning but someone must’ve deleted it so here I am reviewing this place again, hopefully this time won’t disappear Usually the food I order is amazing ( masala chicken tikka -egg rice -x2 plain papadoms- cheese naan bread ) last night tough delivery was 30-35 minutes late, I tried contacting the shop numerous times and when HE finally answered , I find him to be slightly patronising, rude so no customer service skills at all. The last reason I gave this place 1 star is that I believe I’ve been food poisoned as I’ve been sweating all night and woke up at 2am with a bad stomach.

Excellent food excellent service and very clean and covid safe

The food isn't too bad but, they can't even get the basics right. It's the fact that this place has NEVER managed to deliver me a correct order. I have finally ran out of patience of getting the wrong order, missing items or a cold curry. Can't even bothered to complain about my missing item this time, they can just get a 1 star review for the troubles. Sort it out.

Very poor delivery service , long delay and although got updates it was an hour late . Some of it was cold and some luke warm . Naan bread thrown away , rest of food was good when heated up . Food had obv been in car for long time as bag was v cold

Omg by far one of the best Indian restaurant in the north of England, The mixed grill absolutely 10/10 big size too The tiger prawn and rice dish absolutely 10/10 The masala chips the best I have ever had I really must say. Having just moved to the area, both my partner and I decided to settle down for an Indian after a long day at work finding a local takeaway we could try in search of a new go to. That said, this has to be one of the most unpleasant experiences I have personally faced in regards to takeout quality. We ordered a chicken tikka masala, coconut rice, 2 peshwari naans, Bombay chips and a large bottle of coke. On arrival the masala was lukewarm, had very little chicken and a large amount of oil on the top; it was also a really bright orange colour which stood out as a first. The rice was okay at best. The peshwari naans were the most delightful out of the lot, however it needs to be noted they were covered in a large amount of oil that dropped out of the foil bag. Bonbay chips were utterly disappointing, one of the lowest quality of dishes I've ever tasted, it's a shame as they are nothing true to their origin. The coke bottle happened to be the hottest item on the menu, I had to keep it in the freezer for 10 minutes just to make it drinkable. It had obviously not been kept cooled, especially on days of 30°+ it's rather astonishing. I think it's clear to say we will not be going back to Ganges, having visited hundreds of various Indian takeaways over the years, traditional and new. This has to be the most disappointing experience I've ever had and wouldn't wish it on the worst.

I ordered a takeawy from here and they told me a time and never arrived I tried to call them on many occasions and no answer I think its disgusting how they never rang to let me know and my children were waiting for there tea

I live in middlewich however I have started using ganges, every order i have made it has been perfect, the food is stunning, the staff or brilliant even the tubes that the food comes in are perfect 5 star. Will recommend to everyone I know

Disappointed with our first delivery from The Ganges. I was charged £2 for delivery even though the order was over £12 and we live less than 5 miles away (it clearly states free delivery for orders over £12 and within 5 miles). I was told it would be around 1 hour for the delivery but took 1 hour 20. The Peshwari Naan was basically a plain Naan with Golden Syrup spread on it I did find a very small piece of almond paste inside. My wife's RoganJosh was quite watery. I won't be returning. I'll stick with Haslington Tandoori that deliver for free and is a lot nicer

Just moved to the area and tried here for the first time and was very disappointed. Korma was like a soup, soggy poppadoms, under cooked chips and all the food was cold.

Another fabulous meal at the Ganges, the service and food is amazing nothing is too much trouble when you go. Definitely recommend and give it 5 stars, thank you for another fabulous dining experience

Had some extra item called tandoori chips which turned out to be garbage at £7.50 ,did he rip me off ! Yes I think so just got caught up in the moment some how , just watch these slippery people .

One of two best curry houses in Sandbach

Best Indian restaurant in Sandbach. There are a few but Ganges just edges it. The chef special Japuri Murg is my favourite indian dish ever. I enjoy it every time

We had a fantastic time having dinner here Thursday last week. The portions were generous and delicious, the waiter was extremely kind to us and gave us brilliant recommendation. We will definitely be back again soon.

Without a doubt, the BEST northern curry house! I go regularly and these guys never fail to impress. I take friends and family who visit from out of town as I know the food will be top notch, every single time. Always a wonderful welcome from the cheerful and engaging staff, and a well-presented and immaculate restaurant. Menu has a lot of house/chef's specials so you can try something new, or go for a more traditional curry that you know and love. Some beautiful fish options as well (usually what I pick!). The jalfrezi is definitely one of the best. I always come back as no other restaurant comes close. See you again soon guys :)

frozen king prawns, no taste in the curry just hot, all the frozen water running into the curry, one depressed tomato in my salad. only thing 97% was the boild rice wow, and how much for this masterpeace. let me tell you £22.80 never even got a back rub:-{

A touch expensive, but not as bad as some of the more pretentious places opening in Sandbach. Restaurant decor is very pleasant, staff are very friendly and the food is excellent. I have also had a couple if takeaways from here - found the portions a bit small but quality was excellent. I'll certainly be back.
