The Royal Tandoori never lets you down…food always of a good standard and quality including quantity. Tonight’s was no different so we have good consistency at each visit. Always recommend this take away.

Angin greasy food. Stale poppadoms is a reoccurring problem should’ve checked the views before ordering

Amending my review from five to two stars as I have had two very poor experiences recently. We have ordered from here for about seven years and it was previously very good. A few months ago our order took two hours to arrive from placing it to receiving it. We phoned a couple of times and it was always just “we’re very busy tonight, it’ll be there soon”. If orders are taking two hours to arrive, then you are over capacity and shouldn’t be taking more orders! Today, we ordered directly via the website, and it said to pick up at 17:30. We arrived at 17:23 to the takeaway closed up with not even a note in the door. At that moment we received a notification that our order had been cancelled - after we had made the trip out there (we had opted to pick up due to previous experience). We went to a different takeaway which was ready quickly and tasted better, so will be going there in future after being very let down twice. The only reason it is not one star is because the food is always excellent, when we receive it.

Owner and staff are friendly, food is mega tasty, highly recommend!! I get from here weekly and it never disappoints!!

the worst curry take away I have ever had!! Everything was swimming in oil - even the naan bread! Onion bhajis just tasted of oil, the curries tasted of oil - no flavour at all, and where they got the oil based mint sauce from I do not know. I will never order from here again

Not as good as usual. Little bit too salty. Still taste's great though.

It declares right here that it's open until 14.30 today. So I drove an hour to buy a curry. And it was CLOSED! I'm hangry and there's no excuse for this.

Honestly, I was expecting better the egg rice was flavourless. The cheese Naan had only the barest sprinkling off cheese, and the poppadoms were stale... this is our first order, and I hope that it was just an off day... the actual currys were OK, not the best, but not the worst. I've had just a shame about the rest of it.

Wow tried here for a change and certainly didn’t disappoint. Good size portions and absolutely beautiful will certainly be going back had kema rice and the tandoori chicken korma, it was delicious

The madras was inedibley spicy! Ruined my whole meal, I Have ordered a madras from every Indian takeaway for the last 10 years, this is my first and last time ordering from this takeaway

Food was terrible tonight. No taste to the curry and the chicken was really dry. Very disappointed as I’ve never had a bad meal until today.

The sag a loo had one hard potato, the Dahl was congealed and the chicken tikka madras was watery. All the food went in the bin. Disgusting 🤢

Ordered some samosas, bhaji and 2x vegetarian curries and they easily the best we have had so far! Delicious and saucy, not too much fat/salt/sugar, good portions. The chef is a lovely man who clearly has a passion for his cooking. We were very pleased and will 100% be back again!

Not great to be honest dripping in oil and very salty not sure why as we have ordered from here before and the food was good ..not this time most went in the bin 😐

Been going for a while and yet to be beat by any others in the area. Great little place and dead friendly staff.

Excellent tender lamb in the balti saag. Considering you can pick spice level I opted for hot... but it definitely wasn't more than a medium. Prawn dansac had great flavour. Chicken mango dish was too creamy/sweet, but chicken quality was decent. Everything was hot (in temperature) which is thumbs up for a takeaway.

AVOID! Placed my order online at 20:21 for delivery. Given an ETA of 21:15. It didn't turn up, and there was no answer at all from the restaurant when I tried to call numerous times. I have now placed a refund request through the local app for my order. EDIT: In response to the reply from the restaurant. My address is NOT Regent Court, and there was a postcode provided. Check your records. You did not read the order properly. You gave the order to someone else. You failed to deliver it. In addition to this, I tried to call the restaurant repeatedly from around 21:30 onwards but there was no answer on the phone. If you had answered it could have been resolved. Do not blame me for your utter incompetence and failure.

Food doesn’t taste right, overly seasoned with salt. I wouldn’t recommend, if your looking for an Indian Macclesfield I’d choose a different place

Ordered a mixed kebab, whenever I order a mixed kebab from anywhere else there is always chicken lamb and sheek kebab, chicken in this one 4 tiny pieces of lamb and no sheek kebab. Wont be ordering again very disappointing

I have had a few curries from here but i don’t know what happened tonight. Worst curry I think I’ve ever had.

No words !!!! Portion of chips got like 7 chips out of a huge white bag consisting of a very small child’s handful . Curry absolutely drained in wishy water watery curry . Won’t ever be ordering again .

Ordered a keema curry with no meat in it whatsoever only beans and the chilli nan came plain plus the chips I ordered came with not even half a bag!!!! I would avoid this take away as happy to accept your order but what you receive isn't what you order!!!!

In what world do peas, sweetcorn and green beans go in curry sauce? Also, if I'd wanted burnt prawn tail shells in a meal I would have tried cooking it myself. Possibly the worst takeaway I've ever had. Tasteless and greasy too. On the plus side, I think I'm still within my calorie allowance. Never again.

The new owner/chef has improved the quality of ingredients and reduced the high fat and sugar content that used to be the main feature of food from this takeaway. We're still working our way through the menu but haven't had a bad dish yet, the Chef Special (Vegetarian) section is particularly good.

No onion barges even though payed for. But still the main meal was outstanding

This order on last Sunday evening was delivered \almost two hours after the time promised.We rang after an hour and the impression given was that they had not commenced on the order. At 19.40 we received a ted that the order was on the way although it still not arrive for a further 15 minutes.

First time we've had a meal from here. I have to say, it was lovely, very tasty and very well spiced, piping hot. We had king prawn Rogan josh and lamb bhuna both with pilau rice, both dishes had a generous portion lamb and prawns...will definitely be back again.

Food was stone cold and tasted awful. Not worth eating, let alone paying for.

1 x Chicken tikka balti boiled rice. 1 x Chicken tikka vindaloo boiled rice 1 x Shami kebab starter. Where do I start both mains required a spoon to eat, very sloppy.The starter was in my view past its best. Needless to say a very poor experience which will not be repeated.

Best curry we had in a long while.

Ive tried a lot of indians in Macclesfield and this wasn't one of the best. Salty, dry chicken pakoras, hard uncoocked paneer, curry sauces bland with too much hot spice. Just a waste of money. If you want a good Indian I would recommend Weston Balti and save your money

Awful awful used to get take out here all the time .. 5 of us every dish full of salt inedible !! Biryani came with no sauce so just a dish of rice! 3 mixed starters .. awful compressed meat ! Nana bread was ok .. So disappointed

Forgot the Poppadoms and called a few times to get them with no answer. The Korai was very bland and not spicy at all.

Well deserved of the 6 star awards I gave for all aspects of my experience. The Chicken Chilli Balti I had was very tasty, well spiced which left my mouth feeling fresh and warm. A great experience that, I will that I will have again. Thanks to all involved with getting to my door, piping hot.

Missing a dish. Chicken very dry and tough.

Tandoori chicken and chicken wings were good. The chicken kebab and chicken fried rice were not up to the expectation.

Parts of my order where missing. And couldn’t get a refund, rang takeaway no sorry or anything. Poor customer service. And left out of pocket as part of my order was missing.

Change of management a couple of months ago noticed the first curry had changed from my normal…watery, lacked taste…I ordered on the 27th Aug…again same tasteless, watery, this time I had a bug the next day…won’t be going back now!!!

Ordered a few vegetarian options, and the food was very tasty and arrived hot. Very reasonably priced too.
