The best restaurants in Westhoughton North and Chew Moor Bolton North West

Incredibly lovely and welcoming staff! We loved coming here on our break at work- all the food was sensational couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Probably the most bland undercooked chips I have ever tasted, but their kebabs are decent, anyone who likes these chips have never used a chip pan with maris pipers and lard, 5 star service though if you care about that.

A bit late to be writing a review as Amore is closing at the end of the month but wanted to come on here and thank them for being a little haven of happiness for me over the last few years. My friends and I used to visit Amore weekly and enjoyed hours and hours of good food, service and atmosphere every time we went. The only reason we don't go weekly now is because the cafe's hours changed and we couldn't visit as often. The food has always been delicious. The cheese pie is divine with the chicken tikka toastie and the tomato soup coming in close seconds... the meat pie and the quiches are tasty too. And I havent even started to mention the cakes - too many scrumptious ones to mention (lemon drizzle, lemon & chocolate, orange & chocolate, red velvet, hazelnut and coffee all delish!) Plus the cream cakes - all good. The staff are great at making coffees too and will happily create the drink to your taste/requirements. They even remember my preferences and know my order for a mocha as soon as I ask for it! I've not even got on to their afternoon teas.. fabulous! The staff are again happy to sort out any dietary or taste requirements when you book and you are never felt rushed when you are in Amore. It is a home away from home. The staff have always been so friendly and accommodating. I am really going to miss this place i can only wish the staff and the owner all the best for the future. I hope they go on to have every success but... if they ever decide to start selling cheese pie again then I shall be first in the queue! Good luck for the future, take care. Xx

Excellent food everytime we visit! Lovely staff always - wish we could eat there everyday. May long they continue in Bolton one of the best restaurants around!!

Had hair in my food sent it back, no apology from staff then had to wait another half hour for food. Disappointed .........

Food was excellent and a friendly atmosphere with wonderful helpful staff

Had a 7pm reservation. Had bruschetta to start which was nice, but oily but still yummy. Main had the chicken palma ham, was tasty. The sauce and vegetables were delicious. Didn’t have a dessert but my friends did and they loved the desert. Been to la scala before and always been nice food. Waiters were lovely and friendly.

Fantastic real pub. Holts ales are 1st class here. Expect warmth & welcome.

Too crowded. Slow service. Poor parking

Lovely food but the costumer service is awful. Absolute rip off. 3rd time been there every time the same service. So greedy they wrapped my chips with paper that they supposed to warp the actual box with and that’s so unhygienic and for 30p you get sauce and you should see the amount of sauce it’s literally the size of pea and for £1.10 you get the sauce but literally the amount of 10p and less never again. GREEDY UNHYGIENIC AND RUDE.

Went to Ewe for a birthday meal with my family and it definitely did not disappoint. The food was excellent and the service was fantastic. Highly recommended.

We decided to try the tavern as it had been highly recommended by friends and we weren't let down. The food is excellent and couldn't be faulted, the staff were so happy and polite and for a busy Sunday you couldn't ask for anything better. I can highly recommend the lasange, it was fresh and could tell it had been homemade hats off to the chefs. The staff serving always had a smile on their face and made us feel at home. 10/10 on the desserts, we will most definatly be back in the near future.

Stayed over at friends and came here next morning to sort hangover out. Sandwich was okay, had a lot better at other places they've taken me to in the past. But it was food.
