What a fabulous afternoon in a beautifully tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. Greeted with a lovely glass of pink lemonade. Had a lovely afternoon tea with delicious sandwiches, and mini quiche. a huge scone with jam & clotted cream. And fabulous selection of slattery’s cakes. Staff were amazing - so friendly and attentive and very welcoming. Looking forward to returning soon

This cafe is a little gem. Always a very friendly atmosphere. The staff are lovely... The food is really nice. Whatever you decide to buy, it will always be fresh and very tasty. Portion sizes are always just spot on. I usually visit on my own, and I am always made welcome. The perfect place to visit, take a book to read and enjoy a lovely lunch.

Lovely place with great food. The salad is so fresh with lovely crunchy lettuce. The cake are superb. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Best place around my area.

We came as a group of three last week for a coffee and a catch up. We each had a coffee and two had a cake It was very expensive for what we got and not worth it. The cakes had a synthetic taste and we all agreed that the cafes on market street were much friendly and better value for money. Personally we wouldn't waste our money here again. In regards to the rude reply from the owner below, how could one person be related to every coffee shop on market street. I said personally, learn to take criticism rather than sending rude replies. Listening to customers might improve your shop.

Lovely little coffee shop with lots of choices in light bites and desserts. The cheese and onion toastie was piping hot and the side salad was fresh and tasty. Not local to me, but definitely another visit if I'm in the area. Downside is not many parking spaces.

Superb food in here today (sandwich). A diamond of a place. Seems be some kind of relaxation place as well as a cafe, with chill music playing. If it was in Didsbury or Chorlton in Manchester the hipster crowd would be climbing over themselves to get in here. Superb gaff, in my opinion.

I didn't have any food but I'm told the cakes are very good. Had a coffee catching up with an old school friend. Will be going back. Coffee very good.

Popped in for a beverage just now and got exactly what I wanted! Great venue for all things coffee shop related. Perfect for me today and the next time I need a cool drink.

A nice little cafe worth checking out. I don't normally write reviews but this deserves one. Food was great and comes on time. Staff are very professional and super friendly which made the atmosphere even better. Would recommend 100%.

30 miles into my bike ride, and it was time for a quick break. Very friendly service, good coffee, and a delicious chocolate orange cake. My bill came to £8.50. It's a little bit more expensive than some of the other cafes I visit. However, the quality of the products makes it good value. There are plenty of tables outside which has reduced the parking spaces if you visit by car. It's wasn't a problem for me as I cycled there.

I sat in with my friend had a lovely time. We both got a vanilla frap which was delicious! had all food in the windows which looked scrumptious! Would recommend.

Just paid £9.15 for a chicken salad sandwich on white toast, crisps and a can of pop. Questioned the price and was told this was correct due to it being a hot sandwich and they have to pay VAT on hot food! The last time I went i got the same order and paid £5.75

My first visit here and it won't be my last, very nice seating inside, clean and fresh, staff were lovely and chatty and helpful and the food was delicious

Went for breakfast as we had a power cut. The staff are friendly and the cafe is nice enough inside but the quality of the breakfast really is poor. Microwaved scrambled eggs and microwaved sausage that tasted like budget 10% pork ones. Wouldn’t mind if the price reflected the quality but it was quite expensive. Would probably only go back for a cake in future as they looked good.

Busy little place ideal for meeting friends for coffee etc. Think a little overpriced for cafe in Westhoughton. Only purchased tea for one £2.70 & what looked like store bought scone & butter £3.50. The large garden centre in Glazebury only charge £2.85 for scone & is three times the size & tastier.

Lovely sociable place. The best coffee in Westhoughton and beyond. Very nice light meals - jackets etc. Lovely cake selection and best of all the staff are unfailingly pleasant which makes the whole experience perfect

Been wanting to try this cafe on the A6 and managed it yesterday if only for a take away coffee. Asked for extra hot and got it - great. Will be back to try out the food which include a delicious looking range of gateaux!

Went here for my birthday on the 24th for afternoon tea.. the food was brilliant..and the scones with clotted cream fantastic. Cakes fabulous and will be definitely going again. Also and shout out to all the staff that were brilliant,couldn't do enough for us..thanks

Another place off the cuff such a great place, parking is a little difficult as their is traffic lights at their entrance and exit don't let that put you off great cup of coffee and fantastic staff and very pleasant, only sell quality stuff so don't exect a 1 quid coffee will definitely go again great experience thank you

Wonderful, small coffee shop. Staff have all been very nice, the coffee is delicious, and are decent servings. We tried the red velvet.cake and that was amazing, although very expensive. It only gets marked down for being quite loud and quite expensive in there. Apart from that, wonderful little coffee shop.

Tried this cafe today and I will be going back. Staff were lovely and my cheese and onion toastie came with a lovely side salad. The cakes looked amazing, alas I didn't have time, hence the plan to go back.

Nice setting and good staff. The coffee was really tasty. Has that small business character that a lot of the bigger coffee shops lack. The place was very clean, other than a few boxes on the floor as the staff were reshelving. The only true downside was that the cake tasted really like marzipan like a lot of marzipan flavour, almost the cake flavour should’ve been called marzipan. It was almost like cake shaped Mazipan. if you have distain for marzipan like me do not buy the cakes!!!

Visit on Sunday 21/11. For quite a while now the coffee shops been slipping down the quality scale,no salt sachet on Sunday so had to use a plastic salt pot bought from a shop and they only had 1 for all the tables,not good for hygiene as well as COVID etc. The lady behind the counter didn't have a hair net on on and was constantly tilling up and then making sandwiches and toasties without gloves or washing her hands, hygiene non existent onher part,I think she may be the manager. Quality of toasties as gone down as hardly any cheese in the middle at all and then was only cheaper product as very greasy , salad left on side and uncovered. Coffee don't seem to be as hot as they used to be either

We have visited this cafe on numerous occasions, my wife has also been in with friends, but I don't like to say this, unfortunately the standards are slipping. Cakes to die for, undoubtedly, friendly staff, yes, however, the coffees are not up to standard. The last time my wife visited she sent her cappuccino back as it was too much like a latte, her replacement wasn't much better, when we visited today the coffee still wasn't great. It was a man that served us, as it was when she last visited, the ladies are much better, so unless he gets proper training, people are going to stop going, which is unfortunate because it is a cracking place to go with superb cakes.

Visited amore's last Friday as i was meeting an ex work college for coffee. Inside is spacious with some nice comfy seating area and some regular table and chair seating. Outside parking is very limited due to the location. My guest ordered a cake and myself the cheese and ham sandwich. My guest thought the cake wasn't up to the taste and standard she has received on previous visits so we took this back. The manager said that this was still within its sell by date but offered us a replacement or refund. This was dealt with speed and professionalism. Thank you. My coffee and my guest latte where great also.

The food that we got was great but unfortunately the food that we received with spread over 15-minutes which meant some people had finished another people had not started

Nice little coffee shop and great coffee

Dropped in for sandwich and coffee at lunchtime. They offer non dairy milk and caffeine free coffee. Also gluten free bread available. Very nice.

Foods was lovely, however was disappointed with the staff not wearing masks, made us feel slightly uncomfortable and confused. We do understand that some people are exempt from wearing mask, however that was only 1 member of staff and there were 4 members of staff crammed into a small work area. We were made to feel more uncomfortable by the gentleman walking around on his phone, no mask on, bla bla blaring!! Nice little cafe, just need to look at their covid procedures.

Excellent as always. Great service, delicious coffee's and food. Very clean establishment. The staff are friendly and really keep on top of things wiping tables down and making sure the tables are always ready for the next customer. All cakes are covered which is very hygienic. What's not to like, the owner knows how to run a successful cafe 👌👌👍

A party of 12 adults and 4 children, celebrating a 70th birthday, where better to choose than Amore. Everything from start to finish was excellent. The organisation beforehand, the attention from Rachel and the team of staff throughout was excellent. Everybody had a great time. The food was fabulous !!!! Highly recommended.
