We found this place today by accident and we are so glad we did. Our order was taken by Andrew with the help of another young man who we didnt get his name. Table service was fantastic, our waiter was very friendly and he made sure we had every thing we could possibly need. The food was amazing, the sausage especially was outstanding, but all the food was cooked and presented to a very high standard. I cannot praise the staff enough. Top quality service, top quality food. Such a lovely experience, wish we lived closer so we could come here more often,

Had a lovely 2 night stay at the Wheyrigg hall. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff were all great, very helpful, friendly and professional. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice, as was the evening meals. Yes the place is dated but the price, welcome and amazing staff make up for the decor

We were having a family get together so, I decided to order food from their buffet selection. We weren’t disappointed. The food was delicious, the sandwiches so fresh and tasty. The biggest star were the cream slices, they were delicious. Spot on delivery service. Thank you. We will be ordering again.

The Facebook, website & justeat all say there are extra delivery charges to deliver outside cockermouth. I tried online and on the app, but the app won’t let you select a delivery address outside cockermouth. You select your order, select your additional village delivery charge, press pay and the app says it doesn’t deliver there. I live in a village specifically listed as being delivered to, for a charge but the app doesn’t let you checkout to the village. Poor show. How are you supposed to order?!

Situated in a lovely little village, this shop and tearoom are in an idyllic setting. When looking at previous reviews I noticed that the most recent was from 2019, and wondered if the tearoom is still open. On a Tuesday in November it wasn’t, and as the “tearoom closed” sign said just that, I don’t know if they run limited hours or days in the off-season or if the tearoom is permanently closed. I would certainly suggest that you make a phone call in advance of any proposed visit.

Got a voucher off our daughter's for a meal, they had no catering at first so had to wait till now. unfortunately the food I received wasn't great, pulled beef lasagna ,the meat was dried out on the dish and had gone hard.My wife got pie which was better but not great. The staff were very nice though.

Visited here at lunchtime looking for an all day breakfast and we weren’t disappointed. The full all day breakfast comes with tea or coffee and orange or apple juice. My other half didn’t want juice so they allowed us to have two teas and I had the other one as part of my breakfast that didn’t come with drinks included. The tea cam in mugs with the teabag in which allowed us control over the strength of the beverage. They also supplied a little China bowl to put the discarded tea bag in. The staff were friendly, efficient and courteous. The food was cooked fresh and well presented. The cakes and scones on display looked delicious although we didn’t indulge. Maybe next time.

We stopped off for a milkshake after a day out. We each came away with a beautiful glass bottle filled with a milkshake of our choice. I opted for a black cherry, as I love this flavour but have never had it as a milkshake before, one word, amazing! The kids and the hubby opted for strawberry and chocolate flavours. The self-service idea was great and easy to do. Parking was free and there was seating outside to enjoy our ice-creams.
