Top fish and chips shop Very traditional Very good fresh fish I can’t fault it they deserve 5 star Service 10/10 Quality 10/10

Absolutely gorgeous food, not lived up here long but I’ve been to a lot of chippys and this is one to watch. Cumberland sausage was stunning, texture and taste was off the charts and the chips were cooked to perfection too… crispy on the outside and nice and fluffy on the inside just how they should be! Would definitely recommend to anyone who hesitates coming here it’s a gem.

Really nice take away service. Nice fish and chips! I would ask can you add plaice to the menu!!! I would recommend this restaurant!

The best chippy in town always to a very high standard my husband and myself have a takeaway onece a week and I have to say the fish and chips are georgous and the staff are very friendly as well xx

I am the worlds most picky eater and always have been even from a small child. My mother had an awful job trying to please me and I've got no better as I've grown. I've had fish and chips in various places and either found the batter soggy, or the chips too well cooked for my liking but when my mother was alive she and her friend used to eat in here and recommended it to me but I was too picky to try it. However, I was walking past one day and the smell drifted out and really drew me in and I'm so glad it did! I went in for a sit-down meal and was hooked from then on. Extremely pleasant staff, both upstairs and down and very reasonably priced meals too with an excellent variety to choose from.

Senior deal of fish(choice of cod or haddock), chips & mushy peas, with bread & butter & a pot of tea is amazing, and just enough at lunchtime. The staff are very friendly & the place is nice & clean.

Best chippy in Cumbria, never had a bad meal in there and the staff are cheerful, polite and helpful. Prices are good value. Definitely worth a visit

Ordered a chip butty ( not the most complex of orders ) #1 Chips were stale. Obviously from yesterday. #2 They weren't even warm. I was actually quite shocked they'd served something so obviously not saleable. The other strange thing was the portion was enormous - twice as many chips as you'd usually get in a butty - which left me wondering if they were deliberately dumping keft over product. Either way if they can't get something as basic as a chip butty right I won't go back.

it's happened a few times now. apparently the picture below is a large chips. I dread to think what a small is. not even enough for one person. on the odd occasion the portion sizes are fine. but once again we have been let down

Lovely chips and chicken nuggets with tomato sauce, couldn’t of been any better. We will return next time in Workington

Superfish is a takeaway and a sit in restaurant. It is a very friendly place and service in fast. The food is lovely and the fish is in the name as they are superfish. They have a special of fish chips and peas at a reduced price for pensioners.A must visit.

At the top end of Pow Street, Workington's High Street, just up from M&S & directly opposite Debenhams. Not sure why Superfish wasn't on Tripadvisor because it's a TOP chippy! Very unpretentious, great logo a la Superman, very friendly all the waitresses are chatty and helpful, seating on two levels or takeaway - Superfish option is about 8 quid and is HUGE...other options like Cod or Haddock are only slightly smaller at about 7 quid but include thick 'n' crispy homemade chips, mushy peas and two Heinz tartare sauce satchets - there is a Senior special which includes tea and bread & butter and if you dont fancy fish how about Cumberland sausage??? No one has a bad word to say about the place (not plaice!) so if you're in Workington -TRY IT!
