We were having a family get together so, I decided to order food from their buffet selection. We weren’t disappointed. The food was delicious, the sandwiches so fresh and tasty. The biggest star were the cream slices, they were delicious. Spot on delivery service. Thank you. We will be ordering again.

Absolutely gorgeous Sunday lunch delivered to the door. Homemade, fresh, piping hot and very generous portions, with plenty of different veg. I would highly recommend and will definitely be ordering again. Thank you. Was beautiful 😍 xx

Fresh, home made food. Tasty soups and sandwiches. Home cooked meals and exceptional cakes and scones. Service with a smile. Good variety of choice on the menu. Drinks can be anything from a cup of tea/coffee, milkshakes/soft drinks to a bottle of wine. Highly recommended if you are visiting sunny Silloth.

Treated my grandma to a "luxury" afternoon tea for the 2 of us, and can honestly say I was so upset and disappointed. false advertisement of what your ment to get on it. The cakes we got were huge not petite like they should be and dainty, I mean a cheese cake witch was off putting for an afternoon tea the size of a Muller yougert, poor selection of pastry's (stale & frozen pie) only 2 kinds of sandwiches (should have been 3) I felt we got left over cakes from the week before, Scones were stale, and they sell a day old scones on there website for 50p! I think we got them, no clotted cream just jam and butter. Cost £53 in total waist of money, never again!! Heard amathwait hall is beautiful for afternoon teas, and also the melbreak hotel. So we will go there and get the luxury we were expecting to get in the first place, sorry but the way you advertise your food you expect to get what u see.

Had an absolutely lovely meal here at the weekend. We arrived at 15:01, 1 minute after they stop serving food but still accommodated us which we were very grateful for before a 3 hour journey home. Great value for money and the staff are lovely

We went in for drinks only. The beer was spot on but the bar was cold, no heating and no fire on despite it being most definitely winter! There were no lights on the Christmas tree, or any Christmas lights which were all switched off. It was a shame as the beer is great and staff quite friendly.

The best dog friendly cafe in the lakes. Gorgeous food and the warmest welcome. This is our go to place when walking in the north lakes. All of the food always hits the spot but the cakes are just gorgeous!

Thought we would give this place a try as we saw it when coming back from Lodore Falls a few weeks ago and thought location was good. Booked Sunday lunch for 2 adults and 2 teenagers as a pre-Christmas family lunch out. On arrival no one greeted us and we waited in line at the bar to be told, not shown to, which one our table was and to come back to the bar to order. This is fine but at hotel restaurant I would expect staff to come and take our order - main course Sunday lunch £24.95, burgers the kids had £21.95 so not cheap. Inn on the Lake Glenridding for example is less expensive and far superior in location, class, service and food quality. I ordered roast beef and when it arrived I actually got lamb - no problem mistakes happen - but it did mean i had to wait for it to be replaced whilst the rest of my family ate their meals. When beef arrived it was dried out, as if heated under a grill. No one checked on us during the meal but asked if everything was ok when they came to clear. I told them my beef wasn't great - half of it uneaten - and they said i should have told them and they would have replaced. Fine, but bearing in mind i had already waited for it to be replaced once and eaten after others had finished i didn't really want to go for round 3. My meal was removed from the bill but the experience for a family lunch out was spoilt. We were in the restaurant area that doesn't allow dogs but close to the open doors to the dog friendly area - I love dogs but the smell coming through wasn't pleasant from time to time, especially when eating. Generally i think it is expensive and disappointing for what it is, pub type service and food at restaurant prices. £9.50 for puddings for example is excessive for the environment. A shame as location is great to stop for lunch if walking around Derwentwater but I wouldn't recommend based on pour experience today. As a final comment the staff did seem genuinely apologetic.
