Perfect fish, chips and mushy peas. A very generous sized fish, in a light, crispy batter. Pleasant staff, and cooked from fresh.

Had fish, chips and peas and burger and chips. Absolutely beautiful fish and tge chips were the best we’ve had in a long long time. Woukd definitely recommend and we’ll be back really soon. Excellent value for money. Thank you.

Haven’t been here for a while and forgot how good this little place is, amazing friendly service and one of the best chip shops around here by far!!! defiantly recommend this place to eat 😋keep up the hard work

had fish & chips from here had to wait for the fish as it is cooked from fresh but believe me it was worth the wait could have fed 2 people the size it was must admit it was the best fish ive ever had from a chippy

Moved to the village last year and started using the fish shop regularly. It’s the best in the area and very reasonably priced. We love the kids meals as they are only £2.50 include a drink and are super portions. The owners Cath and Bert are always friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend

I've just had the experience of trying the sausage and chips from this chip shop and gave up after 4 chips and 2 bites of the sausage (and I only had 2 to work out what the taste resembled). The chips where overcooked and greasy of the outside but still undercooked in the middle ( don't ask me how they can manage that) whilst the sausage had a taste resembling washing up liquid hence the reason of 2 bites as the first was that weird I couldn't work out what it was. I'm sure he old folk of the village don't mind the food, probably because they've lost the sense of taste but anybody wanting any decent food needs to steer well clear of this place to avoid disappointment

Lovely freshly cooked fish and chips. Lovely couple who run the shop. Can be shut some days so check out opening hours before you go. Well worth a visit!

All freshly cooked and generous portions. Worth phoning first and ordering then collecting. Best chippy in the area by far. Friendly folk.

We moved to the next village along in July this year,and a friend told me that we must try here as it's the best fish and chips in the area.Glad we tried as it was the best fish and chips we'd had in years,also very reasonably priced.£10 for 2 medium fish and 2 small chips.Well each fish(cod) must of easily of been 12 inch plus long,no skin and not a single bone.Lovely fresh fish and the chips weren't greasy and lovely crispy homemade ones.Even a small chips was too much for me,and I can eat.All cooked fresh,so no soggy batter on the bottom of fish with it being in the heat cabinet. Next time we went we were very hunger ,so telephoned in advance to make sure they'd keep 2 large fish for later for us (they sell out of them as they are that good)and with chips,which they cook fresh for what time you want to collect.Sadly they don't have a delivery service. The large cod for £4 each was like a whale,must be a lb of cod each and again cooked to perfection,no bones or skin,lovely fresh ,sweet tasting cod in nice crispy batter and not greasy. Was there again on Fri gone with the Grandkids.Phoned ordered in advance.Large cod and L chips £5.70 haggis,smkd sausage and s chips £4.50,kids sausage and chips only £2.20 and special mini fish and chips£2.70.Wasn't any mini fish left so got s fish instead for same price!Even s fish is reasonable sized.Yet again fish was perfect.Beautiful haggis,actually the best I've had in years and I'm Scottish.Must Ask next time where they get it from.Kids meal just right size for our 9 year old grandson.S fish a bit too much for the 11 year old. For less than £20 for the lot,you really can't go wrong and definitely won't be disappointed.When you think what it cost to go to Burger King or McDonalds for some crap burger and greasy French fries that doesn't even fill you up!!!! Our only slight complaint on Friday was some of the chips weren't quite fully cooked and a bit hard.Kath and Bert are a lovely couple,friendly and polite.The spot is immaculately clean.They deserve the 5 stars on the door.Only wish they we're open more often.

me my wife & sons have had food time & again from here,as its in broughton moor its about a ten minute in the car, but hey worth it, phone up all cooked to orderexellent you wont get better.
