Barbora's Kitchen is highly recommended. Food quality is excellent and good portion size. Plenty of menu choices. Special board also available. Service is very friendly.

Got a voucher off our daughter's for a meal, they had no catering at first so had to wait till now. unfortunately the food I received wasn't great, pulled beef lasagna ,the meat was dried out on the dish and had gone hard.My wife got pie which was better but not great. The staff were very nice though.

We ordered the roast beef, good thick and tasty cuts of meat and the veg was cooked to perfection. The Yorkies were good too. We ordered the chocolate fudge cake and apple crumble for desert, both were beautiful. It's a relaxed atmosphere with a lovely view of the golf course. Our new favourite.

This was my first time visiting the restaurant since the current owners took over. As soon as I entered I had a warm welcome from multiple young staff members who were out front, they were very welcoming and polite. These staff were very attentive to our needs however they made sure not to overstep their boundaries. However our trip turned sour once we heard shouting from the kitchen. The staff in the kitchen seemed to be shouting, swearing and leaving young staff upset. The food was average however the earlier incident cheapened my experience. I will not be returning.

No atmosphere and sticky tables the waitress had to lift the plate off the table with 2 hands. Ordered steak pie served dried up not edable. Chef came to the table with a apron encrusted with food debris obviously not health and safety conscious. Never again.

Good selection of lovely home cooked food at a reasonable price and the service was really good aswell. We will definitely be going again. Highly recommend.

Called with family on the weekend for a bar lunch and we were completely blown away with the whole experience. The young lady that greeted us couldn't have been nicer, she took our drinks order and went through the specials that they had on the board. I had the home made Chicken, Leek & Ham Pie and it went down a treat, my wife and daughter had sandwiches with a bowl of chips and they really enjoyed them. We will certainly look to eat there again in the future and would recommend it to friends and family. Well done to all concerned.

My wife and I recently celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary here. Sarah the catering and bar manager was absolutely great with her advice and organization, we mixed elements of the menu choices to suit both quality and budget. The two Steve's/chefs pulled all the stops out to produce a buffet that pleased everyone and was professionally decorated and presented. We had some special requests to suit some of our family with eating difficulties, this was not a problem and a clearly labeled buffet ensured everyone was more than happy. The bar staff on that evening were both friendly and efficient and the whole night went off absolutely brilliantly for a great family and friends get-together. We had a disco by Paul Seath and 'Simply Vocal', a harmony duo from Sunderland, between them we had a seamless and thoroughly great night of entertainment. There are I think possibly two support pillars in the main room, this can cause a little obstruction of view for a very small section of the audience but this can be eased with a little rearrangement of tables. We had about eighty guests and not one complaint from anyone. Thank you so much for a great night.

The strong smell in the car park as we arrived was of cheap cooking oil. We should have been wary! We were greeted by a lovely lady , called Donna, from behind the bar. She was certainly the only redeeming factor to this place and I would strongly suggest they treat her kindly and hold on to her, she's a real asset. My steak pie was obviously made with the cheapest possible cut of beef. It was actually an insult to the customers. My husband said his gamon was quite nice, but we don't know how they'd managed to cook the meat without cooking the surrounding fat. The very pale looking chips tasted entirely of the cheap cooking oil we'd smelled outside. On the whole a dreadful meal. We will not return

You may not have thought of Workington as a place to visit for a round of golf but trust me this is well worth a visit Lovely parkland course with some very interesting holes and a great challenge for people of all abilities Very friendly club with an extensive menu at reasonable prices If you are in the lake district looking for a game of golf give this very hidden gem a try

The fixed menu is fairly standard pub food but the specials board had around a dozen more interesting options. Cod loin with tomato and basil pesto was very good, with a chunky piece of perfectly cooked cod with hasselback potatoes and veg. We had three courses (shared starters 1 between 2) and probably ate too much but all three courses were very good. We went early on a Saturday evening and it was very quiet but it meant we got a table by the window overlooking the golf course which added to the overall great experience.

Bought a BLT and ham salad sandwich. The bacon in the BLT was hardly cooked, very fatty. Almost broke my tooth on something in the sandwich, must of been a stone in the salad. Very expensive for what you get. The brownie was good though. Would recommend going elsewhere

Sad to say that our trip there was a a big disappointment when it come to the food. We all had beef, it was dry and chewy. When we talked to the waiter, we have been told that is the way the chef does it. It is a shame that they only sell well done cuts of meat...

Called in on a Saturday Afternoon - no food left - they'd run out of cups, had to clear a table to sit down. Overall, the place just has a run down feeling to it - like someone just doesn't care anymore.
