Service quality and price make this a great place to grab something to eat. It's just outside the town centre so easy parking too.

There was 12 of us all wanting to eat Sunday lunch together. We were served our Sunday lunch in threes.with a massive gap in between waiting for the next set of three to be served.some of us had broccoli, some didn’t,some of us had carrots some of us didn’t, It was pretty much a joke. By the time the last three got their lunch the other nine of us were finished. We asked the waitress about coffee her reply was there was she would have to find out if there was enough milk! We left never to return They seemed to be two bar staff one cook in charge of heating up microwave meals

Eight of us had a birthday meal here a few weeks ago. We had beautiful food, plenty of it too. It was all served quickly and professionally. Some of us had cocktails that were freshly made, we can recommend the Grey Goose Le Fizz. The staff were very attentive and knew the menu well, offering advice on dishes etc. We will most definitely be returning in the near future.

Tried Sunday lunch today, excellent but slow service from the bar. The food was served very fast and at £4.99 you can't expect much. The meat was served with a Yorkshire, 4 veg and 3 potatoes with gravy. It was excellent. However the beef was pre-packed already sliced meat which ruins the meal slightly. We'd much rather pay £6.95 for better quality meat. Will definitely call again.

Came for a Friday night cheeky tea out and was really impressed with the service and food. On arrival we were made to feel very welcome, they fitted us in without a booking but was pleased to have a booth. On ordering food recommendations were made and it was worth listening! The food was wonderful, really tasty. Would defiantly recommend

We went into the Gaslight in between two euro football matches for some tapas. Immediately impressed with the venue. Very stylish. But we were the only customers there. When we ordered food we were charged 50p for paying with debit card. But it wasn't until the tapas came that we were left very disappointed. We ordered a sharer platter of tapas and what came required no talent whatsoever in its preparation. It was processed cheese. Assorted cooked ham - straight from the packet. Some breadsticks - again straight from the packet and what tasted like tinned olives. There was no bread or oils to bring the dish together just what is called finger food. For the £12.95 it cost - I'm afraid to say it cannot compete with any other eatery in the area - including Wetherspoons. To cap off a very disappointing experience the toilets were located in the nearby Grapes pub and were truly awful. Sorry, but I will not be paying another visit anytime soon.

Having visited for a bite to eat with friends celebrating 2 birthdays I can honestly say that it was a shock to see a New restaurant/bar with a difference. We all enjoyed our starters/mains and trying the Ales and Cocktails on offer. After an excellent night and with live entertainment on offer too I can honestly say that we would recommend anyone to go and give it a try. Excellent service, very clean and Efficient Bar Staff & Table Staff. Food was delicious. I can honestly say that it has the City Cocktail Bar feeling. Will be back.

Nice to see a clean bar in Workington!!! Staff were constantly wiping tables and the bar and picking stuff up off the floor. Didn't eat but heard lots of people commenting on how good the food was and the smells coming from dishes were gorgeous. Great wine selection and the Hop house lager was very moreish! Relaxed atmosphere, comfortable seating and happy staff. Will definitely return.

The food here is great! Would recommend lemon chicken and sweet potato fries, not too pricey either. A good selection of premium lagers which alot of Workington (and potentially Cumbria) hasn't seen! Cocktails were also freshly made and tasted really good! Amaretto sour was my personal favourite out of the few we tried!

Great cafe in a superb location offering job opportunities to young adults with disabilities surrounded by support, deserves to be a success. Really enjoyed our visit plenty of seats both inside & out, the service was great & the staff member really engaging, only minor gripe was it stated bacon baps/rolls & we got ciabatta rolls which are a different texture & more difficult to consume when slightly older, maybe worth just checking the menu & if things differ, to advise customers, that aside, still a very pleasant visit & happy to contribute to such a great cause!

Main courses were delicious, the only big let down were the deserts, Nutella sundae with whipped cream, it isn't a sundae without ice-cream and sticky toffee pudding with whipped cream, when stated on menu vanilla ice-cream , with no discount because of alternative, should of came out to say they had run out of ice-cream

Visited here at lunchtime looking for an all day breakfast and we weren’t disappointed. The full all day breakfast comes with tea or coffee and orange or apple juice. My other half didn’t want juice so they allowed us to have two teas and I had the other one as part of my breakfast that didn’t come with drinks included. The tea cam in mugs with the teabag in which allowed us control over the strength of the beverage. They also supplied a little China bowl to put the discarded tea bag in. The staff were friendly, efficient and courteous. The food was cooked fresh and well presented. The cakes and scones on display looked delicious although we didn’t indulge. Maybe next time.
