Honestly my favourite restaurant in Cockermouth. Great service. Kind and pleasant waitress and delicious food every time. All for a reasonable price too. Can't fault it. Great atmosphere and a lovely evening meal out!

A strange mixture of a place, neither a bistro nor a greasy spoon, and certainly not fine dining despite the very best efforts of Tony the very attentive head waiter.I always find the place cold, non atmospheric, we thought NASA had bought it for somewhere for the astronauts to train where there was not atmosphere. We have been several times always with the same result so sadly we will give it a miss in the future.

2 Pack Horse CourtEverything we got here was amazing! Don't get fooled by the name though it's not just waffles but other desserts, breakfasts and proper meals! Everyone in here enjoyed their food.

Station RdGreat cafe in a superb location offering job opportunities to young adults with disabilities surrounded by support, deserves to be a success. Really enjoyed our visit plenty of seats both inside & out, the service was great & the staff member really engaging, only minor gripe was it stated bacon baps/rolls & we got ciabatta rolls which are a different texture & more difficult to consume when slightly older, maybe worth just checking the menu & if things differ, to advise customers, that aside, still a very pleasant visit & happy to contribute to such a great cause!

The SquareWe had a lovely dinner at the Black Lion this evening. The food was great and the pub was warm and welcoming, such lovely people. We’ll definitely be back!
