Really wish I had tried a cake, they looked so good! The chai latte I did have was lovely, piping hot and full of flavour. We were staying nearby and we’re only able to get a table when walking past on one occasion as was always busy, a great reflection on the service and quality of produce I think.

Called in here yesterday for a takeaway lunch, ham salad baguette. Lovely fresh ham and plenty of it, with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onion, coleslaw and mayonnaise with a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Husband had a savoury tuna baguette with all the salad. Best baguette I have ever had!

First time visit to this cafe/coffee shop but hopefully I can plan another visit to Cockermouth soon and get to have another fab breakfast. Staff are so friendly and welcoming and the coffee is good too. Great value and thoroughly recommended.

We we’re struggling to find somewhere to eat on Saturday night so emailed this place in the afternoon and were lucky enough to get a table for 1930. Service was excellent and we ordered two starters two mains bottle of wine and even had a dessert to share. All was excellent quality and very tasty and c e in at £70 it was brilliant so we will be returning.

Have visited here before but yesterday was extremely disappointed. Ordered a 'crispy chicken flat bread', was shocked when this arrived on a shop bought flat bread instead of home made. These are the easiest things in the world to make and this ruined the experience, the bread was extremely sweet, obviously with all the preservatives in it! My friends 'shakshuka' was also disappointing as the egg yolk was hard, again not difficult to get right. Staff all very pleasant just a shame that there are little fixes that need attention.

We used to eat in Veeva weekly, but since the change in staff it hasn’t been the same. The menu isn’t as good, lack of variety on the specials board, just not the same. We had lunch there today and my husband’s quesadillas was very thinly filled, and the portion of skinny fries had reduced to a small bowl from a lovely big tub. Not good considering the price. You used to have to queue for a table but it was practically empty! I don’t think we will be back in a hurry. Also they don’t let dogs in!

Staff were so friendly, welcoming, bubbly and warm, they really made our experience when they were having a laugh and bantering with customers. The food was delicious, really good portion sizes and reasonably priced. Didn't have to wait long at all for service, drinks or food. We are so glad we decided to try this place before we left Cockermouth to return home. We even asked to take some scones with us for when we got home.
