Visited a few coffee shops today and this was definitely our favourite! We drink decaf and it’s hard to find a tasty substitute for the real thing. These guys have nailed it. Cakes were super scrumptious too!

It's a pleasant spot to sit outside if the weathers good but coffee cups are too small. Guy making our coffee had an awful phlegmy cough and coughed into his hands several times while handling our cups. Waitress brought drinks out to us and then petted a dog at the next table giving it a tickle under the chin and then a rub on the head, cute, but didn't wash or sanitise before serving again. I now have a cough. Won't be returning.

I saw this on Trip Advisor so decided to give it a whirl. To be honest was disappointed. A latte at £3.40 was quite small and not very hot. The cake was ok but again quite small. Quite cramped if you end up sitting in the high stools being constantly jostled by people to get past. Toilet area would benefit from a clean. Sorry to leave a somewhat negative review but I have to be honest.

Visited here for only the second time with friends from the north east who had not visited before. We chose this place as there are not many places open on a Sunday! The cafe has few tables which will seat four people and when we arrived these were all taken by couples, with tables for two unoccupied. It was a delight to finally experience what can only be described as an authentic independent artisan coffee bar doing many great things in the community. Great handcrafted coffee produced on and La Marzocco PB with homemade baking, complimented with a selection of well prepared savouries. Visited last summer, first impressions were excellent, Very friendly welcome, offered newspapers to read and order taken. Lovely hard wood furniture and some rather dinky crescent shaped wall tables, on-trend coffee prep area taking up about a fifth of the floor space. All hard surfaces. Coffee & cakes excellent, but became aware of the staff having to shout over the loud background music, the banging down of crockery and cutlery behind the bar. Visited again last week, coming in from the cold, glasses steamed up immediately, Stlll very noisy and crowded so sat at wall table in the thoroughfare, had to move constantly for staff (and customers visiting the toilets).Drank the excellent Carvetii roasted coffee but left for the comparative quiet of the Main street traffic.Wont visit again until more powerful extractor fan installed and accoustic tiles fitted to the ceiling

The chips are probably the best I've ever had and the battered sausages to die for! The other half had the haddock supper and claimed it was the best he's ever had. Decent portions, the price is up there but not much different than your average chippy to be fair. The girls were lovely and had the food ready in good time. We would take a trip back to the island just for another feed at the Hungry Seal lol 10/10 for us! (Not my picture, found in Google search)
