The best restaurants in North West

We booked a room, but when we arrived, there was no one to show us to our room. The landlady said it was her first week and she was still working out where the different rooms were. The room was ok. However, the shower would not drain and be in danger of flooding the bathroom, so I could not shower; there was no one to help fix it, and I was told there were other issues in the rooms waiting to be fixed, but the brewery wouldn't do anything. I so had to borrow a plunger and fix it myself; it was then I noticed the shower tray was filthy, the only bin, and it was in the bathroom, and this had not been emptied. The carpet was dusty, and the sheets had blood spots on them! While the staff did their best, it turned out they were in their first week or day and didn't know what to do. I would not recommend it.

My new favorite meeting place with friends, staff and Clare the owner are always friendly and helpful, food is always spot on, cafe is very clean, reasonably priced too Highly recommend if you’re in Blackburn you need to visit

Fabulous valentine's night. The food was delicious, good portions and well presented. We were made to feel very special by the staff. Highly satisfied with everything including the entertainment. 😁

Lovely, quaint little Tea Shop. Nice atmosphere, ok value for money. Went for afternoon tea but found it a bit 'standard', nothing great for the price compared to other places. Presentation was nice though.

Tried to make order over phone and he was and aggressive attitude. He Also put phone down .rang back on his private mobile. Threatening me. Be aware

Popped in for a pint. Quality beer & excellent atmosphere.

All my family , children and granchildren had a lovely buffet meal just before christmas , the staff were excellent and service was too . The place has a really nice ambient and relaxing atmosphere and the food was delicious . I will be going there again and i recommend the whole experience highly . Thankyou Jins !! R.J.Walker

Really nice hotel, stayed for one night, great location, staff very good and polite. Room nice could maybe do with a fridge, had a meal in the restaurant, good food and service, wine was only let down, poor bottle of red in my opinion, breckfast very good, went for the full Cumbria very nice, all in all very pleased and will return,

A very busy place on a Saturday afternoon. There's a good choice of beer which is inexpensive for a city centre pub with plenty of character.

Stopped off for a pint while walking around Hawkshead and must say we really like this place. A new discovery for us but we were very happy due to the great selection of beers and friendly staff. We will definitely visit again
