The best restaurants in Northumberland North East

What a wonderful find, the staff were very pleasant, made you feel welcome. The sandwiches were tremendous, so much so we went back the next day for a take away. Even dropped in on our way home to take some home baking home with us. Great service, great food, great ambiance, even the dog loved it. Would highly recommend

We ordered a salad and the afternoon tea for two, and the food was divine! We were also a bit awkward and asked for something changed and that wasn't a problem to them. There was so much food and it was so tasty! Delivery driver was also friendly :)

It is expensive but worth every penny

Llamé ayer para mi almuerzo (para llevar). Nos encontramos con un personal agradable y pedimos la hamburguesa con patatas fritas. Absolutamente precioso. Hecho en casa. Tamaño generoso. Deliciosas patatas fritas caseras. Muy recomendable. Voy a volver.

Brilliant vegan options and extremely dog friendly! We loved this place. So friendly with brilliant veggie/vegan selection. exceptionally tasty and good value. Would 100% recommend a visit.

No longer what you see in the pic, now a converted van, called "School Yard Pizza". But the pizzas were lovely and good value. Turned up on Friday evening but seems they are not opening Fridays now. Sadly this meant we settled for a rather awful fish and chips from nearby hotel. Anyways...back to School Yard Pizza. Highly recommended.

We were staying at the hotel and so had our dinner here in the evening. I think it is only at present open to hotel guests which is why tripadvisor thinks it is currently closed? Really nice dining room. Very grand. Great menu. I had the steak and chips which were delicious. We were looked after well by the staff. Good wines. In all an excellent meal.

Amazing restaurant. Paul and his family are very welcoming. We had a great night as usual. Really good choice of pizza and pasta and a specials board. You can also take your own wine.

Was excited to visit after all the hype. Drinks were nice, but we found the cakes quite dry (could not be finished as they were too dry).

Fabulous food, great staff, lovely restaurant/pub. Highly recommend. We will definitely rerun when we are next Northumberland! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I haven't got enough good words for this little gem. Food was fantastic and so was the service in an environment warm and cosy! Will definitely go back and I highly recommend it!

Absolutely beautiful food and service, can't fault anything, kids meals amazing value especially for the quality 👌 I had prawns and they were cooked beautifully, honestly can't recommend this place enough, will definitely be back
